The mayor started with, 'The curse of the sound of the flute seems to affect all above the age of twelve years old. At least a drowsiness of sorts comes over them.' That did not mean that magic could not help in there efforts. He already knew about the children being hypnotized which is why expressed concern for Thea. If she was hypnotized then she could not tell them where she was. There was one thing that he was not sure of and if it worked well that was good and if not then that was bad. "Does the flute effect more then one thing at once?" Soon a young man came into the room who's name was Kyo. The mayor saying that he would show them were they were staying. That was when Thea said, 'But even if I am under the trance for a bit, surely they won't expect a great and powerful wizard that has come to save the town to be so young. They will be caught completely off guard. Maybe I can even get the flute from them before I signal for help.' "You have to remember that Necos likely has some kind of magic or at least the flute does." He did not see trying to convince Thea other wise was going to work so he said nothing. "I do not see the harm in taking to the children within the city hall." Even if that only got a little information it was better then nothing.

Zephyr more or less agreed with Thea in saying that they should go with her plan. Zephyr then said, 'This Necos guy could have another trick up his sleeve other than a magic flute and if he does, three great and powerful wizards beats one.' "I don't know about being powerful." He never really thought of himself as all that powerful but, he had to have some power for people to be afraid of him when he was younger. He never used so much of his magic to know how powerful he was to begin with. Magic was a powerful weapon and it had to be used carefully. "Well if we are going with this plan at least let me use some of my magic on you before hand." Even if his magic minimized the effects by 1% it was better then nothing.

Right before they went off Ananta said, 'Do I need to be bait when there's two bigger meals running off?' They were not running off it was all apart of the plan that Ananta was clearly not paying attention to. Soon the detraction went off and it was kind of funny to watch the dancing and singing but was another thing when they had to run off. With all the Hyena's distracted by the other half of the group he and the others slowly edge their way into pride rock. As they came onto pride rock he could see lionesses in misery. They reached the lion's den and he could finally see scar. First scar mistakened Simba for Mufasa then Simba went on about being the rightful king. Scar was now manipulating Simba in some way. Then there was a reveal that scar said simba was responsible for Mufasa's death. He did not believe it for a second but apparently some did. He did not understand why they believed Scar's lies after so long of him lieing.

Shorty after all of this it was revealed that Scar was the one who killed Mufasa. He was not the bit surprised. No what he wondered. He stepped proudly forward as to say he was there to help Simba. There was no way Scar was going to give up so easy. He looked around and saw that Kaida, Aislinn and Ananta had joined them. "I am glad that you are safe." He did not think that it was over but only the beginning.

Andrew turned to see what was going on. Most of what was going on was Hikaru telling Kaida to be careful. He was just waiting for the detraction. He did not understand why Aux had to be negative all the time. He knew that most of them would be fine as they could take care of themselves. As he waited for the detraction he looked out to see what he could see. He was trying form a plan of attack and what way he should go to attack. As far as he could think of the best option was to sneak as close as possible to scar and deal with what was to come. Before the hula he looked back to the others and gave them a good luck look before looking back to what way was the best way to sneak off in.

Gavin just looked at the mayor. The mayor then said, 'The job was self-explanatory, or so I presumed.' Well no kidding. There was more to it then simple act of revenge. Necos wanted more, people always wanted more then just revenge. He just was not sure what else this Necos wanted. That was when the mayor said, 'It was foolish of me to trust a rogue mage like him... And now our town is paying the ultimate price.' "You did what you thought was the best option at the time. No one can tell the future and if they can it is not always right." 'I suppose there would be no harm in speaking to the children, but I do not see the point in it.' He already explained why talking to the children would be helpful. They knew what was going on more so then the adults so they might be able to get information. Then something about the time it happens came up. It did not seem like they could know when Necos was coming for sure. 'There is a strange fog that rolls into town, the flute sounds to be in one area and then suddenly in another.' "sounds like some sort of weather magic is being used." He could not be sure tho.

One of the first things they had to find out was where the missing children were at. That was when Thea said, 'So basically we need to wait until night and then I can go see if I can find where the guy is. I mean I am not an adult so I won't fall asleep right? When I find him I can send up a small flame so Zephyr and Gavin would know where to find me.' It was not a good idea but it was also not a bad one. It was better then using a random child but that did not mean he had to like it. "What happens when you fall under the spell of the enchanted flute and cant control your self?" That was when Zephyr said, 'One of us should go with you then. The guards are likely older than all of us so Gavin or I might not be affected by it.' He was not all that worried about the flute. "The flute uses sound and travels through the air to take control of a children or makes people fall asleep. So in theory I might be able to use my magic and stop the flute magic reaching us." He had no clue if it would at all Then there was the fact that he did not like using his magic unless he had to. There was another option but he rather not do it.

Maliel seemed to notice that they were not following her. She then said, 'We don't want to risk it.' He was not sure what it was but something did not seem right. Maliel then went on about already loosing at least ten children. He got the feeling that Maliel was not telling them everything. The girl was acting odd. She then said, 'We always had this wall around the town hall... We're out far away from any help close by, so this was built in the beginning of our establishment to keep everyone safe... None of the children in there have magic.' It seemed odd to always have a wall to protest them, from what? He wondered. He decided not to go into it more. Soon they had to follow Maliel once more.

Maliel led the group along through the village. Finally, they arrived to a manion surrounded by an iron gate with ravens sitting around and cawing. It was a bit ominous. Once inside it seemed warmer but he was not going to let his guard down. In there was a room for was a roaring firing, and someone sitting in a chair with their hands interlaced. The Mayor then said, 'I have been patiently waiting for you. I'm sure Maliel has updated you on what's happening with our children and what has plagued us of late?' Yes and no he somewhat figured out what was going on before he left the guild hall. He decided to be real with the mayor. "We will do what we can but I am not sure how helpful we will be. We do not know why this flute player is taking children. He must have a motive." If the children had magic it would make a bit more sense but according to Makiel they did not. "We do not even know where to start." That was when a idea came to his head it was possible but it was a chance. "How would you feel about us talking to the children? They might have clues as to what is happening and where the children might be." As far as he could think of it was the best place to start.

Maliel came up to them and said, 'That's the town hall. It's been converted into a school of sorts, yes. But mostly to keep the children safe from the flute player.' Something did not make sence, at most it was round a month or so, that the flute player has been taking children. This was not nearly long enough to build a high stone wall about thirty feet high that blocked the view of the courtyard. That said it was possible. "So typically stone walls are not built around a town hall courtyard, so how was this done so quickly?" He was more curious more then anything else. Maliel continued, 'he chooses his targets randomly, and so we placed them all in a well guarded area to keep track of everyone. It seems like the enchantment he uses only hypnotizes children twelve years old and under. So far we haven't had any losses the last two weeks, but we still hear the flute at night.' "Well it seems he uses the enchanted flute with the power of music and or sound to take control of the children and move them somewhere else." He just had not figured out why yet. That was when a idea came into his head. "Do any of the children have magic?"

That was when Thea and Zephyr had the idea of the children coming out in the day. When the age range came into play, he knew bringing Thea was not a good idea. Having all the children in one place made some sense but it just made this place a target. "Out in the day or at night it does not matter both ways they are a target for the flute player. What is important is that the children are safe."

As they walked Thea said as they got to the building that, 'Maybe they are in school. Peasants do that don't they?' He was not so sure but would wait for what Maliel would say. "Does not look like any school I have been to." Well that was not completely true. " There was one simular but for the most part they want them to look as normal as possible. I have herd of schools, where children with magic go to that are like this. I just thought that they did not use them anymore seeing as magic is more accepted." The thought of people putting children with magic here made him upset. It brought him to a time when he was younger. He closed his eyes for a moment.

Gavin opened his eyes. It was shortly after his 3rd birthday. he was being dragged by two people he had no control over what was happening. "Stop, let me go." There was a slight fear in the eyes of the people practically carrying him away. He had just used his magic and had thrown a large book at a wall because an other child had been hitting him with it. "stop I did not mean it." He was practically crying at this point. The men just looked at him. 'You know what you did and we know what to do with you.' In the distance a large building could be seen it looked like a prison. A few days later he managed to escape the place. Then he stared new schooling somewhere new. He had to keep moving from place to place school to school. Then shortly after his escape He was put away again in a school at the age of three because he had the natural ability to control (magic) some feared him and made fun of him. He closed his eyes.

He opened his eyes again and found himself back where he was. If anyone looked at his they might be able to tell he was upset. Zephyr had said something about it not being strange. He had so happened to open his eyes as Zephyr said, 'Seems that way and Quite the well guarded school if that's the case.' He did not like the idea of it at all. Looks can be a lie.

Andrew just stood there and then Aislinn said, 'I know what it is like to lose parents... but doesn't that mean you should hold on to the family you have more?' He was surprised that Aislinn knew what it was like to lose a parent but said nothing on it. That was when Aislinn said, 'So are you ready to stick your nose where it doesn't belong and help these people? Even AJ and I, and we are the newer ones here. I am sure nothing could go wrong.' He did not like that Aislinn was speaking for him. He liked to speak for himself. That was when Aux said, 'Enough, I get it! With the friendship, and the helping, and the STOP IT! Eventually someone will get a rock to the head...' "When we get back to the pridelands you can put a rock to Scar as many times as you like."

The group continued making their trek back in excellent time. He could see priderock in the distance. He already offered his help in fighting scar so did not feel the need to say so again. 'It's gonna be dangerous,' Simba warned. "That seems be be standard practice now for us." That when when there was talk of a plan. He had to say it was about time. 'Yeah, but we got power too! We've got 4 lions, an antelope, a wolf, a parrot, a charming and suave meerkat, a warthog, and some kinda mutant chicken.' He did not think Aux would help but hay he might be surprised. 'If we had some kind of distraction, we might be able to make it if we had some live bait.' He did not know if he liked the sound of that. 'What do you want us to do? Dress in drab and do the hula?!' "Yea why not it might be fun." He looked at Aislinn not knowing what to say. He just walked over to Simba and waited for the moment they would set off.

after sometime the followed Maliel. Thankfully she was out of ear shot. He turned to Zephyr and said, "don't you find it odd someone so young is working for the mayor?" They soon walked by a large building that had iron bars on the outside windows and a high stone wall about thirty feet blocking the view of the courtyard with decorative iron spikes. "Looks like they are trying to keep something in or someone out" he said offhandedly. That was when muffled sounds of laughter and the play of children he could hear. He then turned to Zephyr once again. "Is this where all the children are kept?"

That was when a red ball was suddenly thrown over the wall and rolled in front of the group. Not seeing the harm of sending it back over he did so. He picked up the ball and gave it a good toss the ball landing on the other side. "Try not to lose it this time." His voice was full of happiness. "So what is up with this building and why are there children here?" he asked Maliel.

Before he left he gathered some things, not knowing who long they would be gone. To say the trip was long was a understatement. He relaxed most of the ride and looked out the window. The group would have had to cross a large lake by ferry. As they ventured farther and farther away, the scenery was becoming dreary, humid, and creepy even. A thin fog settled over the drooping trees and made the path somewhat obscure before them. He knew he might be able to move the fog away but it did not seem worth it to use his magic so soon. The closer they go to town the more of a smell of food being cooked there was. Soon the carriage stopped, and the group was let out to see Murgate Village. They were in some sort of market place. It did not strike him as odd that there was no children going around he figured that out before they left the guild.

The group was clearly being observed carefully. He gave Zephyr a look that said be careful and don't give out to much information. They after all did not know who to trust and not to trust at this point. A young teen then came up to them and said her name. Then she said 'I've been asked to bring you to our mayor when you arrived.' He found it quite odd someone so young would be working for the Mayor if she did. "Do you work for the Mayor?" He glanced back at Zephyr to see if he could pick up on what zephyr was thinking.

Once he had come over to Thea, Thea said, 'Bringing me along? You would be tagging along.' He said nothing and let Thea have her innocents. That was when Thea said, 'I can take care of myself. I am not a child. Besides I have been practicing, watch!' Thea summoned a ribbon of fire to her hand and started weaving the red flames between her finger tips, before sending it up into a small firework like explosion. He did not doubt that Thea could take care of herself but he was sure a magic flute was not something to be messed with. "I don't doubt you can take care of your self Thea", he said with a smile. It was the magic of the flute and what powers it might have that he was more worried about. It was not like anyone noticed his concerns anyways so he would just have to deal with whatever happened when it happened.

As He watched Thea something came into his mind. Magic had the power to create and destroy it was how you used it that mattered, leaving his thoughts unsaid. That was when Zephyr said, 'Besides that, why we're going with her, is to make sure nothing happens.' It did not seem like he had a choice in the mater so he said nothing. He rather not use his magic but he would to help others. He just stood by watching Thea eat waiting for the moment until they left.

Andrew just stood there when Hikaru said that simba was dealing with a lot. That was a understatement. There was nothing he could do about that now. He turned his attention to what was going on with Simba and Aislinn. Simba seemed more together. That was when Simba said, 'You don't have to say anything. I know now what Nala was trying to tell me.' "You will not be alone", he said offering his help. He did not think that it was going to be that easy to get Simba to go back to the pridelands but the lion seemed ready to go. That was when a babboon hit Simba on the head with his walking staff. It was quite funny. That was when the elder babboon said, 'It doesn't matter! It's in the past!' Simba and the elder babboon went back and forth with the past hurting and learning form it.

He wondered what he learned so far but really all it had been was random events. Simba then went to chase the elder babboon and said he was going back to the pridelands. Then Aux said, 'So the giant ghost lion with the deep booming voice, we're just gonna pretend that didn't happen?' "Sure why not it is in the past after all", he said with a slight smile as he walked past Aux. There was not much to do but to follow Simba back into the pridelands. So he did. He wondered what the pridelands were like now. He soon would find out. As he walked he stared thinking about the events so far. Learn from the past...

Gavin just sat there for a moment when Zephyr said he was fine. Zephyr then said that he would not mind going along. That was when Thea did some aloud yellings 'Hey everyone! Who wants to go on this mission with me?' He just smiled hoping that it was the Cake Delivery. Now that he had one person all he need was a second. He knew just who to ask. Lakoda, with her Sound Magic would probably be the best person to come along considering that the mission its self, had to do with an enchanted flute that made sound. Before he could go ask Lakoda Zephyr ran off towards Thea. Was Zephyr going to take Thea with them? He let out a sigh and with no option but to follow Zephyr he went after him, picking up his notes before he left.

He made his way over to Zephyr just as he said, 'Mind if I tag along.' He noticed that Thea had the job for A Price Unpaid. Why could it not be the cake delivery? What was Zephyr thinking? He wonderd if Zephyr was sure about this. It just screamed bad idea. He thought it might be best to clarify what he was thinking. "You want to take Thea on a mission where Children have gone missing?" he said, voicing his concern. It just did not seem like a good idea. "It is just that if Thea does go missing it will be on us. I just rather not lose a guild mate", he said with his voice full of concern. He was just concerned about Thea's safety.

Gavin as he was writing and glanced up every so often. Conrad left shortly after he got there. He wondered what that was about, but just kept on working on putting down notes. Soon Lakoda was going on about Sign language and how hard it could be. He had somehow been able to pick up some of the basics but by no means was as good as Conrad. Shortly after Lakoda said, 'If you need someone to go on a quest with you, let me know if I can help. I'm pretty easy going. You can either find me in my room, or back here in a bit.' He would keep that in mind as he worked on the paper ans continued to write anything he could think of down. Soon Shawn left leaving him with Zephyr.

He had to ask someone to go with him on a mission and seeing as Zephyr was there he thought why not. Zephyr did seem like he was deep in thought. "Are you aright?" After some time, he looked down at the paper, and then he looked back up, from the list on the paper he had. He then pushed another paper over for Zephyr to see, with the details for the job, A Price Unpaid he had copied down. "What do you think of this mission? I am thinking about going on this mission and maybe you would like to come with me?", he asked. He did not see the harm of asking Zephyr as he was sitting there. If he said no he had another person in mind. While he waited for Zephyr to answer he looked down at the notes he had made on the paper that was still in front of him. He was reading over the notes simply to see if he missed anything.

Gavin was sitting there for some time when something came to him. "No way, no way!" He sounded excited like he just thought of something. He could not believe he did not think of it before. Like how could he have missed such a detail. It did not matter now. Gavin just smiled when Midarah said, 'I get out for fresh air quite often, my dear. There's no need for me to go on a job to do that.' He guessed so, he was not going to say anything on it. It was not really his place to push it too much. "I guess not. It is just that they do seem to spend time together that is all", he responded to Midarah regarding the friendship thing. Sure they might have spent time together but that did not mean much. He would just have to find out on his own. "Now if you excuse me I will be on my way." He left Midarah to what ever she was doing before he came along.

He walked pased the two and back to were everyone was siting. Then he made his way to where his room was. He did not take a good look at it as he had to get down his idea before he forgot it. He took some paper and a pencil from a desk in his room. He then made his way back to the guildhall with paper in hand. He then made his way to the job board and copied the job details for A Price Unpaid down on the paper. He then took a empty seat near Zephyr at one of the the tables and started writing down anything he could think of. For some reason there was something about that flute. As he wrote ideas came to his head. Anything that he could think of he put it on the paper.

Gavin turned when Master Midarah said, 'I did not become a guild master to go out on missions like everyone else.' "Just don't work your self sick. Some fresh air might do some good", he said with some concern. "Maybe when I get back from the flute mission we can go to the one with pets. I am sure Artemis would like it and I can bring Storm", he said with a smile. 'Conrad, Lakoda, Zephyr, and even Thea would be good to start out with.' "It is just that is seems like they have been friends for some time and I don't want to get in the way. As for finding someone I can always ask Storm. As for Samuel I just figured like your self that he would prefer to go help the sick people."

That was when Maira said, 'Perhaps you try asking some of the others before you try Everette. I know he likes to help and all, but an S-Class is still an S-Class.' He shrugged. "It had nothing to do with S class, he just so happened to be the first person I thought of." Midarah had said that he was in the guildhall somewhere but he had not seen him yet. There was also the fact that it was not like he was going to go up to Everette first. It was just that he thought he would ask Everette if it came down to it. He sat there for a moment thinking. "Once more people eat there breakfest I will go around and see who wants to go", he said with a smile. It was hard to decide who to ask first. Everyone seemed to be more or less together. At some point he would have to ask someone.

'No, not at all' Master Midarah answered him. He took a seat that was near the two. "Good morning Maira." 'Artemis is her usually lazy self.' "Storm was on my case the whole way back here this morning, complaining about not coming back the night before. I think he missed Artemis but he is to prideful to say so", he said with a small smile. At this moment he could feel like Storm was glaring at him almost like the bird could hear him. 'I noticed you were interested in the job board this morning, Gavin. No one has established any teams yet.' "I don't know about that", he said with a small laugh. "I was thinking about going on the one with the children."

'It wouldn't hurt to ask anyone to join you on what ever job interests you. I'm sure they'll be happy to go with you.' He was not so sure about that. "I was thinking about asking Everette to come along but I have not seen him this morning. Do you know where he might be?" He looked at Master Midarah and said, "You know it would not hurt to get out yourself", he said with a smile. He sat back in his chair and looked up to where Storm was sitting. The bird seemed to be somewhat relaxed now that he was back at the guildhall. "The trouble I am having is knowing who else to ask to come with me." He did not have a clue who to ask.
