Is this like a Facebook oekaki? They look pretty good, I am just guessing that you used the mouse to draw with? Hard, isn't it? I think you have potential, if there is an opacity tool I would recommend you to use that to make the colours blend more naturally. (mostly the whites) I'm not sure how much effort you have spent with the backgrounds, though the one in colours had too many random green lines - I'd try making weak hints of what sort of plants are there, and add a LIGHT OPACITY dark/opposite colour for depth.
I say that you should play around with different styles a little more - it never hurts to widen your abillities, right? Eventually you will most likely end up using the parts you like the most and it will become your personal style. And something I have learned - no one can learn without copying examples first. That's how we learned the alphabet, right? :>

I was just about to say that - it is one of the Elements after all, and the only one that hasn't been used yet. (about trees, that's almost the same as plants which would mostly go under Marluxia) What about soundwaves?

Meh, why not? Some forum friends (not KHV) requested to see my purple hair - but it has already started to fade, and the snapshot was a horrible one I took on the bus.
