I like the calmness of the 2nd one. :3 Though is a text really needed? The way they are added now you can barely see it because the colour is too similliar of the picture's colours overall.
Hey, that design looks pretty cool! :3 I really love the hair, it's just tells you he's a positive dude. Though that's one funky arm, it looks too long compared to the other one and thus has this rubber feel to it. (if you have read/seen Fantastic Four you probably know what I have compared the arm to.) It can easily be fixed by adding a joint indicating that there is an elbow on that arm. Other than that I think your style is awesome.
I actually began to think about how outside the box you get in Guilty Gear games (yoyo, scalpel, anchor, flag, hair, pool stick - just to mention a few) - If Nomura ever thinks like Daisuke Ishiwatari then I have no idea what to say. In all seriousness.

Uhm, that's a good question and hard to explain. My personal theory is that her heart didn't disappear like with any other victim of the heartless - Riku/Ansem used his blade to open her heart so that the darkness overflowed and she became the dragon etc. Though I think the heart was still intact. She is a wicked witch, after all, and a strong one we should not underestimade - just the very memory of her could bring her back to life. So I believe that the Maleficent we've seen in the games is the same somebody Maleficent. And she may have wanted a new stronghold since she's aware of trusting others isn't enough to succeed her evil plans, thus starting from scrap with a (powerful) castle. (she pretty much lost Hollow Bastion, especially after it returned into Radiant Garden - do we even know how she's like at her full power and still regain control of herself?) I can't explain that part tho, sorry.
Nah. Love is an emotion, and that's what a heart contains is it not? And nobodies lack hearts, so that probably wouldn't work as a power of an Organisation member. Hmmmm, isn't Vexen one of the experts in that area already? Probably the rest of the first members as well, being scientists in their previous lives. It'd be too odd if it was a power also. (of course, the weird things sometimes becomes canon *shrugs*)
I can definatly imagine the fan weapon as a posibillity - don't think Luxord has ever used his cards like a fan before, and a fan would be a good counter weapon. (after what I've seen, it's often used to counter the foe's attack) Being quick is probably a skill needed tho. If it's outside the box it may as well be ANYTHING. You'd be surprised what yoyos can do. >>;

I'm no pro at weapons, though that many handles may make it much harder to use that weapon in an effective/fast way without hurting yourself. Dropping it could probably help, ingrave details in the pole/stave parts instead. This is asuming that the attacks would be similliar of wielding a zanbatou or pole?
