Lawlz, 1 year of lurking elsewhere - I rarely see that. Well, now that you're here go nuts with the posting! :D
Hellu!! ^.^ I may not be a fellow Aussie, but I like to eat kiwis. Which's origins are neighbours to Australia.. I suppose that counts for something? Have fun here, you probably know the rules by now - just know that there may be different ones depending on the section you want to visit.
Sooner or later you'll be on everyday - this forum shall steal your soul, like it has done with many others.. .. What? Americans get Halloween and we don't. At any rate, have fun here yo. ^.^
Post more than in 2006. ;3 Good idea to lurk around the community though, then you know what to espect in this forum.
We don't have kids selling cookies by the door.. ;.;
As long as there's no "I am ur fathor" thing appearing in KH, I don't really mind. I noticed much more SW similliarities in FFXII though.
Well, perhaps not right after Maleficent returned, but at least at one point a battle against her would be jawesome. Maleficent vs Yen Sid or Merlin or the King, Maleficent vs Xemnas, Saix or another Org member, or maybe just Sora and co fighting her. (maybe not the last one, since they "sort of" teamed up in TWTNW) Not in this game but maybe in the next adventure of Sora's: I want to see a battle against the Kraken. That'd be close to epic.
Like crono said, you definatly have the potential - if you have the will as well, you can go far. Just don't give up since this is only the beginning. >:3 You seem to know the avarage height of a human, you just need to study how one is built up more. Understand what joints goes where, how wide the shoulders are... If you look at a skeleton that would help loads. The high heels is the part that looked too flat, it did not have any shape at all. Though feet are a b***h to draw right, many artists has loads of trouble with those. The best thing to get them right would be to look at actual high heels shoes in your home, if there are any, and go from there.
I wonder what mood you are trying to create in this sig - having it clear should help loads. To me it looks like you want it to look like a serious person thinking hard about how to get out of a tough situation, almost Sin City style. To this, the background seems a bit too empty - very weak shapes could help, maybe something suggesting a rain storm? That's what the lines in the front made me think about. The white spots don't fit at all, sorry - it's just too random and collides with the sharpness of the original picture. If you are going to edit this *I read you still have the workfile intact?*, show us any changes you would make.
Sadly, I don't have any advice for you that hasn't been shared already. I can only say that the foggy mood really suits the Deep Dive theme, it adds to the mystique of TWTNW. I also like the colour theme used, the darkness and the light that isn't PURE WHITE but just enough light to get the point across.
May I just say that I love your version of Vexen? He looks like he's gonna snap at any moment, like a mad scientist! XD Anatomy is a bit off, you'll want to use helping lines to keep it under control. Otherwise it may appear way too funky, even for the cartoony style. One hint I can share with you - the eyes are in the middle of the head's hight, always. If you look at pictures with this on your mind you'll see what I mean. I don't know what my opinion about the plot is yet, I'd like to see how it starts like first. :>
Hey, that ain't bad at all! A few measurement issues tho, though you'll get to that stage eventually. Since only the eyes and necklace seem to be shaded, the remaining parts does become too light - too sharp light I mean. An advice - keep practicing like you are doing now, by drawing from pictures like that KH2 backcover. When you feel comfortable enough to advance, look at what other artists do when they draw, with or without a reference. Learn their techniques to develope your own, a common rule is that you can never learn too much. :3 Another advice for this particullar picture would be to not be affraid to make the darkest parts darker. You seem to be capable of using the pencil lightly (which is a good thing, believe me), just don't forget the darkness - dark and light lines will add more shape to Sora. Best thing to achieve this is to use more than one pencil, a hard pencil like HB and 2B, and a softer pencil like 4B and 6B. Experimenting will get you far.
But what if there's a scary cookie monster hiding in the jar with a ban hammer? o:
AWWWW, CUP OF KITTY!!! <3<3<3 I like the Shuryuken and "I REGRET NOTHING!" ones. :3 And since we're showing the clasic vids.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6ppnFUBA4A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHNOlvN_sh4
Is this a good thing?
Dang, I do wish that they would have made the games for PS2 - I can only asume that Nomura wanted to experiment with the mobile, DS and PSP. Try something new/different, who doesn't want that once in a while? Though I also wish that 358/2 Days would be available on the PSP since I already was interested in getting one. (Daxter, Tekken, Ratchet & Clank I think were available on PSP) Oh well. When I see reviews for the games after they're out, I will decide what to go for in the end.
*based upon Repliku's post* Yes, that would make sense. Sora was fighting against time when he was a heartless, had he become a permament one then Roxas would most likely remember just as much as the other Organisation members do about their past. *based upon something mentioned earlier, I forget who posted it* About the keychain thing.... maybe you need to do something to earn it? Like some sort of medal or token of what you're capable of? I'm pretty sure it was more strict in BBS than in the next games about Sora and co.
What more about Donald? You forgot to add and I don't have the link for the quiz.
The sketchbook drawing was the help Roxas needed to enter the secret room under the table at the library - he drew in the crown because that was the only sign missing on the table.
Barbie Girl - Aqua. I bet it's on youtube, listen at your own risk.
