"Mother was taunting her earlier."
His tentacles wagged happily like a dog as he purred.
He nuzzled her stomach happily.
"Who cares? As long as you're here, I'm happy."
"But it doesn't make any sense because you'd be dead too."
"Are you sure Nyx is dead?"
"Luana, have you altered your child in any way?"
He shrugged. "Technically, they're both dead anyway since they're vampires."
"Too late for that now. Seems Luana killed the little devil herself before she came back."
"How are you supposed to fight an enemy that hurts your loved one when you hurt it?"
"No, I mean she wanted to rip apart their relationship. She refused to let Luana out of her grip."
"Ages ago, when Luana was still a child, she and Sephiroth had a blood transfusion to keep her from her real father who wished her harm. In the process, Luana had a demon taken into her also, named Nyx. This demon wished nothing more than to rip him and Luana apart. If he killed the demon, he also killed Luana, so seeing no other option, he asked you to kill him."
"Correct."
"Can't you put two and two together?"
"Why do you think Sephiroth left and she was looking for a new husband?"
"Yeah, and?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
He purred happily.
He climbed on top of him and curled up into a ball.
He shrugged.
