He rubbed her back. He chuckled without humor as he looked at his shaking hands. "Weapons of war aren't meant to know love."
He opened it and held his arms out to her. He sat on the edge of the cloud with his legs dangling off the side. "What am I doing falling in love again?"
"I'm nothing but a naive fool who trusts too easily." He said as he stood up, causing Garnet to slide to the ground.
"I'm not your father, so why do you care?"
"Go on with your traitorous mother." He said coldly.
He chuckled mentally. "A liar and a traitor. I'm glad I got out of your grip while I could. However impossible that scenario might be, the puppets stay with me."
"Then who in the name of hell's child is she?!"
"Blame yourself for that."
"Why should I tell you even if I knew?"
He kissed her head before falling asleep.
He purred softly to help her sleep.
"You came to me first."
He cradled her in his wings.
He hugged her tightly. "Mine." He growled possessively.
"That's why I said future."
He leaned down to her ear and whispered into it. "My future wife."
"To have you as mine."
"I told you, to mark you as mine. Plus that proves it isn't a dream since you felt it."
"It is real, dear."
He licked her head.
