The best of course is taking classes, that way the instructor/teacher can show you how to make changes and what to pay attention to (you won't believe how many students had problems with drawing a simple cup of tea) - though you can also buy/borrow tutorial books, there's plenty out there. Protip, you'll want a realistic tutorial before How To Draw Manga, don't trust blindly on their propotions. And of course, there is the internet - thousands of tuts, almost hard to know where to start.

Your picture of the logos is 308 x 800 - I recommend you just put the hearts next to eachother instead (horizontally), it's the hight of it that's the problem.
