Completly true - yet it takes skill to create something beautiful, either it's from scratch or touching it up. That's what we have in common. :D

Here's hoping the drawers won't end up in a war against the grafick makers. *for some stupid reason, that's what appeared in my head when another list was suggested*

I always did wonder who made it... It's the only one I've seen, but it was what attracted me to investigate the forums in the first place.

It has a steam/smoke effect more than anything (not sure if steam is good for Mustang or not *shrugs*), but it doesn't look too shabby at all. :> Other than that I have nothing.

Bwah, so many good ones are already mentioned!! Though I have only seen one post that had to do with Disney (not Donald/Goofy/Mickey), I also agree a lot with that one.

For some reason, Xigbar not revealing anything to Sora as he was dying was pretty awesome to me, he was strong to the very end. >:3

Demyx pretty much equals dishonor if anything - concidering his mission and all. :x

Damn you, Repliku - now I can never take his speeches seriously anymore, lol.. :D

.. "Kingdom Pants, the pants of all worlds!"

    Well, that was Maleficent's line.

    Hey guys

I wish our cats were allowed to sleep in our beds... Mom forbids them to enter any area that isn't the kitchen or living room.

    Lol member

Well, no matter who I met I would be very frigthened at first.. I'm weird like that, only once have I met a fellow DA user (rimfrost, anyone?) at Raptus last year. Which was quite random.

I'd want to meet plenty of people tho - but the person closest to me geographically would be Christhor. :3 It'd be pretty funny if one day both of us are walking in the park surrounded by museums, lol.

OMG, I remember when we did this in an assignment!! :D You should finish it, the result may satisfy you loads.

A tip from me: You have to think the opposite of what you're used to. Here you can't make shadows, only highlights. (it takes so little to completly mess up, trust me on this) So pay extra attention as you work on it, here's an example of white lineart on a black background if it helps to inspire you:

While you're on the sketching stage, I'd try to make sure the arm/hand doesn't end up looking twisted out of propotion.

The concept itself is very good and interesting - there's something about a black/white background and a single object with a single colour that stands out - that attracts my attention.

Though make it less sharp concerning the b/w background, and it will look very good! :>

I propose that someone sticky this thread, if that's the case. Wouldn't want it to get lost in the maelstrom of threads..

At any rate, I am concidering to draw a background for my PSP (most likely I'll draw Fran from FFXII), but if there's someone who would want to mess around with it to look more like some of the signatures I've seen here then that would be grand. (I haven't started yet, I am procastinating and mildy busy - but just know that I hope a background can be done one beautiful day)

(lined paper is usually a no-no in art, but if you were bored in class I can totally understand)

You should study some anatomy, now's a good time to start. I don't know if you were aiming for a realistic style or manga style (or your own style) for this guy, but there are measurement issues - like the eyes shouldn't be placed higher than the ears unless you're looking up at him, the neck is too short, the chest area is extremly flat looking.

The best thing you can do is to study propotions of the human body (if you have an art teacher at school , he/she may know something useful - I learned some tricks from mine before I started attending an art school), there's different ways to do so but I say try it all if you can:

~Use live models - if you are allowed to take drawing classes then I highly recommend that you do that.
~Build them up as stick figures with joints, then go from there.
~Study how other artists have drawn people in their tutorials, there are plenty of books for everybody, there might be some available in your nearest library or bookstore.
~Don't draw only humans - draw everything, it will give you a wider perspective of things and will help you to become better.
~There is also the internet, but you can easily get lost or get misinformed.

I'm not sure if it will help you, but here's a site with tutorials that started to get me on the roll. It helped me with the basics at least.

    Good luck. :3
