She put it on Ifrit and it stayed as it was. "Looks like it's true."
"Maybe it's immune to fire somehow?"
She nodded and let go of the aeon and noticed the plant creature that was in her hand the whole time wasn't burned. "That's weird."
"Why not?" "Almost."
She clung to it again. "I won't stop until you stop acting so depressed."
She hugged Ifrit's head, ignoring the burning pain that came from the action.
She hugged him. "You have as much of a right to be happy as anyone else in this family."
She smiled. "Daddy likes making that noise too."
She leaned her head against his as she moved her massaging hand down to his back.
She stroked his hair lovingly. "I do."
She held it up to him and it clung to his arm. "Seems that it likes you."
*Chuckles* It's not a pokemon and mandrakes' tops look more like onions. "Plants don't twitch when you poke them." She tugged on it and pulled out what looked to be an inch-high person connected to the leaf by its head that was red all over, had little beady eyes, and three fingers and toes on each hand and foot.
She noticed an odd solitary leaf about half an inch high sticking out of the ground. She poked it and it twitched slightly. "What do you think it is?"
"But that doesn't mean we can't."
She shrugged as she gently fingered a blooming blackberry bush.
She led him out into the garden and sat next to a flowerbed. "Big sissy says that this is all mine."
She smiled mischievously. "Somewhere."
She stood up and tugged his hand while carrying the flower and Stripe in the other arm.
"It's a present from you."
She made the glass flower open and close.
