You're the first person I've seen with photography in this forum so far, in the art section at least. Very nice twist. :> Some of your pictures are pretty awesome, like the ice and sunset one. My favs, they has this strong effect that is sharp yet suitable. If I can offer any cnc, I'd advice you to get a hold of PhotoShop one day, the possibillities you can tweak around with are endless. *I do that in computer class, but I'm still a rookie*
This version is much better and suitable for the image. :3 If you want, you can play around some more by adding another extremly weak colour to that it's not just white in the background. There are many posibillities to create a light magic effect - for this I can imagine warm colours like yellow/orange/red.

So far, I can only come up with three things I'd like to be remembered for. 1 - If not as a comic artist, I'd want to be remembered for making illustrations. Maybe for books and stuff. 2 - For being an animal friend. 3 - For beating a record in a beat-em-up game or similliar. (I've read about Tekken tournaments, wish I was good enough.... hmm...)

The comp editing isn't horrible, but it isn't great either - it is a mix, but that is what will happen if it's your first time trying something like this out. The best advise is to play around with the options of the program ( what program is it, btw? It doesn't have to be Photoshop to become awesome. ;3 ), if there are layer options then that's a good start. Should you find the time, you could search the internet for tutorials based upon the program. About this one - the white on the hair is too much. The impression is that there's a sharp light from her behind, but the white on the hair gets a "choped up" feeling.. It would work if her hair actually was bending in a direction, but it's not so I'd make it one whole line of LIGHT OPACITY instead of two hard whites. The hair accesory became too sharp compared to the rest of the picture - you should make it softer like the colours and lineart is.
I'll admit I like the old paper texture thing going on, it could become something nice if it wasn't too empty on the left. You could add your favourite quote there, for example. It's pretty nice, but could have more as a signature.
