Kitty, will you make a new thread once there's an update, or just post it in this one?

You don't mind it the colouring is quick, do you? Also, what are the colours on the old guy? I can colour it for you if I squeeze it into my schedual.

Wow, that's big.... When you fix the size of a drawing you should think about the resolution it was scanned in. For image editing the bigger the image is the better you can work on the details, but when you upload it on the internet it should be as small as you can allow it. Currently your drawing has 200 as resolution, which is too big - edit it to something between 72 - 100.

For the drawing itself it looks very nice. :3 Pretty choice of colours too, it makes it all look so sweet. Though you should try to cross shade with the colour pencils when you colour the art, it will help prevent these "gaps" in the colours.

Absol493, give some more thought about what you think about the signature shown. A single sentence like that says very little, and won't help the artist at all. I'll keep an eye on your future posts.

Anywhoo, I like the boldness the overall sig has - it's very different from what I've seen in this forum so far, and is a fresh breath. :3 I'm a bit unsure about the two circles to the top left though, are they really needed?

    Moved to Traditional Art.

Those are rather nice - what I mostly like a lot are the colours, especially on the first one because it has a soft feel effect going on. :3 Very calm for the motive, quite suitable. I'll do as you requested and give the full cnc on DA. (kewl, our countries are neighbours! X3)

Anywhoo, it seems to me that you've done a mix of both traditional and digital tools - when you do that you need to keep in mind that digital colours will be sharper looking than colouring pencils on the paper will turn out after the scan. Also, the pencils will have created a texture that one digital tool alone (I mostly speak about the airbrush tool) can't create, you'll have to do some tricks beforehand. Point is, if you decide to go for a mix you need to know what you're doing. If possible you should play around with the layers' functions in the program you used, make sure the colours won't steal the attention from the traditional art just because they ended up too powerful.

Sorry to hear that. But just to make sure you're alright you should stare at Konata being weird. Randomness usually helps. :3

I dunno the other advantages - you can make polls and add stamps to journals.

Money better spent on PlayStation games imo. :x

There is absolutly no need to get a subscription on DA. In my opinion. One time I got a subscription free for a week from DA, it quickly ended heh. Mostly the advantage is that you can look at more thumbnails, read the newest comments without opening them and bling up your journals. I just don't think it's worth it. And I've been on DA since 2003.

Shounen/shoujo ai is the more sweet and innocent type, while yaoi/yuri is more agressive let's-get-it-on type.

I'm simply too busy to keep up with them anymore. I noticed that l was slipping loong before I joined KHV though, I just finaly did something about it now. And it doesn't help when you're always the one doing all the job alone. >>
