Ahhhhh, I remember the first time I read Love Hina.... I blushed like hell cause it was one of the first mangas to come to Norway. (remember Manga Mania, Sammy?) Wasn't used to ecchi so I didn't know what to espect. XD But it was one of my fav mangas, I really like Ken Akamatsu's work - it was one of my main inspirations when learning how to draw manga style. We used to get the manga through a magazine with some mangas, but then that ended and Love Hina eventually came in pocket issues instead. But I have 6 dvds so I didn't continue on the manga, I have to save my moneys for the other mangas I read! X3 Gotta say that moments where Keitaro is all confused and in panic were my fav ones.
That's how it was in school for me too. They were more movie obsessed than for manga, I guess they asume everything Japanese was related to Pokemon. Though they always thought my random scribbles were cute. Though I have made some of my younger cousins read some manga, one of them is very obsessed with Detective Conan, I'm trying to get her to read FMA now that it too is in Norwegian. :3 Two others read Ranma 1/2.

:3 That's a pretty cute image, an angel feeding the animals - very adorable thought for the drawing. CnC The propotions are off, but it's just something you have to keep on training to notice, and how to change that. What I highly recommend you to do, is to check out some tutorials concerning how to build up a body and making a pose. You look like you're ready to learn about human anatomy. :3 When the drawing's of the whole body it's not too wise to concentrate too much about the face, even if it's very tempting. I can't really say that much crit to you this time, only that you start studying how the body works. This thread has plenty of tutorials listed so yeah. I don't like the text that much, but I think I see what you were trying to do with it. Making it something out of this world, right? But it ended up giving me a more happy feel than one out of fear. Try making it more simple, and see if the signature gets a different feel. Sometimes being blunt is more creepy. There's so much happening on the left side of the signature, on the edge of looking too cluttered, while the right side contains almost nothing. Can you do something about that? I like your idea with the sig a lot, you just need to pull some remaining strings together. :>

I feel so too, it's why I want to see them continue it. It might have a connection with the progress of the manga having such large gaps, I don't remember.
