I picture you as Eowyn actually - warrior woman. :3
Opened again, continue with your buisness. :3
My teacher always told us to only use the tools we had when it came to pencil drawings. All it takes is how lightly or hard you will control the pencil as you shade. Another tip is to use a rubber lump thingy meant to use on pencil and coal/chalks when you erase - they're very good, and won't get all that dark like a regular eraser would. I recommend that you look for one of those too. :3 You should be able to find them in stores that has art supplies. The ones who is all about art are the best to go to, as they will know about the stuff that they sell and how you can use them. But it might cost, I wouldn't know how the prices are in your country. But always stick to quality or the ones that you feel comfortable using. Another store you could try are book stores or ones for office equipment or similliar. Book stores that have pens and markers will also have pencils. But if you can find a store with cheap prices that sells a pack of such pencils, it wouldn't hurt to try them. It's just something you'll have to decide for yourself, but the pencils I tend to use says KOH - 1 - NOOR HARDTMUTH ~ TOISON D´OR and are in black and yellow on the outside. If not movies, then perhaps games? If you want the drawing to look like it's during the time of Ancient Egypt itself, you should use colours as well. I learned in art history that they used to paint all of the buildings in colours, but most have faded away in time so we don't see them that often. One game I know of that has an Egyptian stage is Soul Calibur 2. Maybe do a search on gamespot?
All Europeans must go to bed. NOW. Because I says so.
Wait.... Sounds like you should switch the answers. What's a crowbar.... >> Good idea: Listen to your inner child. Bad idea: Listen to your inner troll.
*munches* It is a shocker... I hope it's an early April Fool joke even if she said it wasn't.
Kitty will be... ;.;
Hide from your family before they track me down and hurt me.
^ both. Good idea - eat cirtus fruit. Bad idea - give citrus fruit to cats.
I am sad..... ;.; Only one week left and then she's gone!
Awwwww....... If she's a DA user I'd check her out. She sounds like a nice person. :3 And now that you mention it.... yeah, she was on that list..
Finaly I see my name!!!! Who's Roxas-chan? :3
*cries tears of emo - for real* Aw hell... I've only known you for about...5 months. But damnit, you're one of the reasons that keeps dragging me to this site!!! Your personality is amazing!! I'll remember you for many years to come, I always do when there's a member who I truely admire and feel connected to - you're insanely fun to talk to, and will always help out whenever I am being a poor poor newb. Everything you have put into a post is gold, your fingers work magic along with your mind - maybe that's something in common for people born in the year of the Dragon? (hells yeah I'm bringing the Chinese Zodiac into this!! You can't stop me!) I'm not sure if you remember, but my first reply to one of your threads was in one with a cat dressed up in who knows what and I thought it was animal cruelty or something. XD At the time I didn't know that you truely was this forum's own little cat - with huge respect. I hope to this day that it wasn't offending, I was new to your presence. ^^;; It's been loads of good times with you.... Either it was through the insanity that the spamzone will always contain, through MSN where there are no limits whatsoever *inserts Felicia smiley*, in the super secret section as secret as the Order of the Phoenix, PMs whenever MSN wasn't an option or I was being my lazy self well you know how I am... I haven't had this fun in a forum for quite a while. And never been nearly that active on IMs before KHV. You're one of the persons of my interweb life that really stands out. And your addiction to Legend of Zelda makes me curse myself for not having a wii. ( .....wee.. ) And I swear to all holy forces that when you helped me out with those mangas I thought I would never get my feet back to the ground again, I was flowing with happiness!! <3 Should you ever visit Norway - me and Sammy simply MUST be your guide. Fjords and smalahove, it's what anyone should need in life. :3 And lurk on MSN once in a while, eh? Sneak on like a stealthy ninja cat, extra stealthier than your regular ninja. I will miss you insanely loads, and I wish you all well with your choices from here on. *huggles* I will do my best on the painting, and I'll also send you chocolate once it's ready. :3 Thank you for everything.
^ Made a typo that was meant to be huggle a cat. > Feeling sleepy at 11 PM and is disturbed by this. v Will look outside the window to see if anyone is peeking in... o.o
Kiss Me Godbye - FFXII ending, I'm lazy.
o.o Can I watch...? :>
Nearly Headless Nick comes to mind..... Imma sorry for not finding a Phoenix Down for you.. ;.;
But I'm at class. =.= And the first time I read the signature question I was confuzzled. XD Kitty, how full is your inbox now....?
The drawing looks pretty good so far. :3 With the right tools, this could become a really wonderful piece. I definatly recommend you to shade it, but promise me that you WON'T use your fingers to smudge it - it will only ruin it, smudging pencil art is a big nono. Crosshading will do wonders, and if you can get hold of different types of pencils you can get a good balance of light and dark/grey and black. (HB, 2B, 4B and 6B will work well combined) Can't really help you with the background, but I recommend you look for references to inspire you - for the best result. Also, with backgrounds the perspective rules are extra importaint so keep that in mind. If I were to change anything..... I'd want to define some toes on the foot closest to the viewer. Not much is needed, but the foot looks a little too twisted atm. Keep going! ^^
We have a subforum dedicated to drawings now, so: Moved to Traditional Art. That's a pretty nice ballpoint pen drawing. :3 It's sometimes smart to use only ballpoint rather than pencil, it is good practice to recognize which parts of the drawing is the most importaint to get down. The creature in the lower right looks very adorable... VERY. :> I'll just point out that when you draw the upper body, it shouldn't be smaller than the head. Unless it is a very young child which tend to have big heads. Next time you draw a guy, you should try to imagine the upper body shaped like a big bean, one that you could fit the head inside - that's roughly how the size of the chest would be.
