The girl giggled, twisting around slightly in the covers with a smile. She laughed again when she felt more fur brush up against her cheek. It must be morning. Kanon wasn't the type of cat to wake you, unless you needed to be be waken up. Her eyes fluttered open and she winced as sunlight hit them. She picked up Kanon and moved him to the side, patting him on the head in thanks and climbing out of bed. She could hear the heavy footsteps of members trudging down for a last breakfast before they left. For a moment, she her heart started to quicken. She hadn't forgotten, had she? There was no telling when they'd have a chance to settle down again. And then, she saw it. Her weapon was still leaned up against the wall there, glistening in the golden rays. She breathed out deeply and stretched, climbing out of bed reluctantly and beginning to get ready for the day. She sighed, hoping things would go well and that they wouldn't run into any trouble. Very briefly, her mind wandered back to the previous night and how Valin had helped her. She wasn't quite sure what she would do now. Part of her really wanted to see him again, but the other part... She shook her head, looking at herself in a mirror and smiling. "Ready, Kanon?" She questioned, looking over at the cat whom was sitting there staring up at her happily with a mew. She laughed and scooped him up, strapping her weapon awkwardly to her back and grabbing the one bag she even bothered bringing around with her.
