    Um.

English teacher made me take my Minnie Mouse Christmas hat off in class, in fear that I would be associated with some sort of Disney Christmas gang.

    School is stupid.

Julianna started to shrink further down into her seat, bright green eyes darting nervously from Wyatt, to Behemoth, to Frost and then averting.

    Uh-oh.

This continued for just a few moments longer, until finally the bell rang. Upon hearing the sound, Julianna sighed out in relief, pulling herself up and stuffing a couple of books into her bag. Lunch. Finally. Class had ended. Jullianna wasn’t really much of an instigator, and being around fights generally made her nervous. It was more of the tension than anything, and she figured that if she could calm down and loosen up a bit, she’d be much more willing to get involve and actually do something. But she wasn’t sure, of course. She was never sure. ‘Maybe’ was one of her favorite words, and perhaps it was because she was a Garudas, but she was a bit on the indecisive side. She preferred to go with the flow and live in the moment.

Swinging her book bag over one shoulder, she made her way down the halls, humming absently to herself with a tiny bounce in her step, her strawberry-tinted curls tickling her ears. She might normally cruise the cafeteria at this particular moment, but instead she decided to eat her lunch outside in the fresh air. She had packed herself something nice and simple, the way she liked it. She preferred everything to be simple, really. From situations, to the clothes she wore, to her hair-style and green-themed jewelry. Right down to the flats on her feet, wings fluttering at her ankles.

    She felt content…for now.

--★ Okay, so as true as my previous “absence makes the heart grow fonder†speech was, I still feel like a pretty big hypocrite. I couldn’t even begin having fun until I found Jake, and if I had found out that he went home then I would have probably found my way back too. Does that make me clingy? I don’t know whether to feel cute or pathetic. But seriously what the hell do you expect? Four years of being around
someone constantly and…frankly, it f’in sucks to be away from them. Besides that, he’s so sweet. Who else do you know who names stars? STARS.

Oh, by the way, I don’t approve of his smoking habits but I’m not going to bug him about it. Tobacco kisses aren’t as bad as they say. ~ <3

To be or not to be—I wish that were really a choice.

Immediately Jessica’s eyes locked on the twinkling stars above, cold fingers laced with Jake’s warmer ones. She nodding quietly towards the sky, eyes scanning and memorizing the scattered shapes and patterns above the two. Her lips curved just slightly into a small content smile before her attention left the circle of stars and reality seemed to settle back in. The muffled bass resumed, beating rhythmically into her chest, the cold bit at her skin and the time began moving at a quicker pace. The reason being, of course, some drunk chick sprawled out on the snow now. She was yelling something obnoxious, but

Jessica merely narrowed her eyes in the direction as a fairly awkward girl came out to help her.
She sighed, squeezing Jake’s hand instinctively and noticing that she recognized both of those girls. It wasn’t like that wasn’t to be expected, they went to school together, but Jessica didn’t necessarily feel like getting caught up in conversation…especially with Casey looked a little lost. Without asking, Jessica began to tug on Jake’s hand, using her long hair to hide her face and jabbing Jake softly at his side, signaling subtly that he should put out the cigarette and come inside with her before anyone started a conversation with either of them.

    Reactions

Yes, thankfully. The 11 year old's leg is fine now, it had just broken. And the youngest was in the hospital for a while but is perfectly okay now, thank God.
I think part of my reaction had to do with the fact that they were family. Had it been someone else, I'm sure the panic would have just been mostly empathy, and I probably wouldn't have been so quick to act. I would have assumed someone else had called 911, where in my personal situation I was very quick to do so myself. :/ Kinda sad, but I think it's a natural reaction.

I do laugh when I'm very nervous though, but more like...walking in the woods in the dark with a friend nervous.
