There are always "groups" of friends and such, but even in my schools that I've gone to (I'm in America, and I've moved around...A LOT.) The "clique" thing is just a high school stereotype that's blown out of proportion and glorified. Not saying that there aren't kids who are more popular than others, and people who kinda sink into the background. But it's not normally like, "WE'RE THE POPULAR KIDS." But of course it's more exaggerated in American films, TV Shows, Hollywood, all that jizz. Though I've also seen movies and such from other cultures and countries who exaggerate the same thing. c:
