Yeah, we're gonna need more details. xD I mean, the idea of converting something like that into a role play is fine, if that's what you're asking. There's nothing wrong with that. But I'm curious to know exactly what the mechanics would be like.

You should post something like this in the OOC Lounge so someone can seriously help you, or offer to.

    Introduction

Welcome to Role Play idol, an original role play competition! 'Original' role playing (on KHV) is the acting out of a particular character you create yourself, from scratch. From name and age to bio and personality, you create this character and act them out in a story-like format with other players.

So, do you enjoy role playing, competitions, or just writing in general? What about if you need help sharpening your role play skills, want to get back into it (or start it), or want to meet and interact with new people or role players? This competition may be for you!

Uh, sure. But what is it?

This will be an OC (original character) competition, meaning that each contestant will have one original character to create and compete with throughout. There will be a different 'season' each month, but this is for season one. If you sign up for season one, you do not have to compete in season two or onwards. The competition with be a month-long one.

There will be several different challenges and themes, and this will work in an 'American Idol' style. There will be four judges. You can not compete and be a judge at the same time, but no matter who you are, you can apply to be a judge. There will be no more than 12 contestants a season, and around ten or so challenges running three days each.

At the end of each challenge, the panel of judges will give their critiques to each member on their performance, and there will be a vote off period. Contestants and judges will be able to vote for their favorites, with no voting for themselves of course. The prize will of course be being crowned KHV's Role Play Idol for season one, and you also receive a pin!

Okay, so I can just sign up and do whatever I want then?

...No, lol. Here are some guidelines/rules.

♣ There is no voting for yourself and when you vote, you must put a valid reason for why you're voting for who you're voting for in a post.

♣ Please be original. Your character cannot be from another anime, game, etc, unless the challenge causes for them to be.

♣ Your entry OC must be as simplified as possible. That means no powers or anything weird like that. Why? Because some of the challenges might conflict with that. Don't worry, the competition isn't that straight edge. You'll get to play with some powers.

♣ No god-modding. Yes, this still applies. No power playing.

♣ Do not ignore the other contestants. Interact with everyone fairly.

♣ Activity will be important, but you have three days to post between challenges and voting periods.

♣ Try to stay in character.

    ♣ A judge cannot be a contestant.

♣ You must have two characters. A girl, and a boy. They can be the same person, just gender flipped with different names if you want, but you'll see why this matters later.

♣ Don't bring drama into this. If you're paired up with someone you dislike during a challenge, and/or you get voted out, don't rage. Just deal with it, or try again next time.

♣ You cannot have your friends vote for you. I think I said it before, but people outside of the competition can vote for the contenders, but must provide a valid reason for doing so--like everyone else. If I find out you've asked your buddy to go vote for you and BS some reason, you will be disqualified. It is unfair and dishonest. Same goes for constantly voting for your friends, and for not voting at all. All contestants and judges are required to vote, FAIRLY.

♣ I reserve the right to add more rules before the competition starts, so check back here often if you decide to sign up!

Alright, whatever. How do I sign up?

Just fill out the sign up form below and wait for the fun to begin. :] This form can be short, by the way. You don't have to work hard at it. Remember, two characters. Male and Female.

There are TWELVE slots open for contestants (if less than that sign up, then we'll rearrange some things). TEN rounds and voting sessions, and FOUR judge slots open. There's no way you'll be denied, if you apply. I won't 'not' accept you, so give it a shot.

Wait, what does a judge do, then?

If you are a judge, your job is to read the posts, and follow the competition. Before the poll goes up, all of the judges will critique every contestant on their performance, and state who they think is the winner. The judges will have to have private conversations to mutually agree on who is the winner for that challenge (majority vote), and that person is immune from the poll. You guys aren't actually apart of the competition, but you help with the voting process, and eventually, crowning the winner. Your sign up is nonexistent, anyone can be a judge, even if you don't role play. Just be fair and send me a private message. Anyone posting on this thread about wanting to be a judge will be tsk'd and denied. First come, first serve. You cannot be a judge repetitively. If you are a judge this time, you cannot be a judge for season two. However, you can be a judge for season three.

Rayna's eyes were--as usual, panning and darting around the library as she took in it's splendor. She merely nodded, and squeaked something incomprehensible in Ben's direction when he spoke to her. But this absent-minded behavior only lasted a moment, before she came back to Earth. There were others now, crowded around them, and Rayna felt her cheeks start to burn. She was shy enough as it was, making herself look like a fool was not getting her anywhere, obviously. She lifted a hand with a small wave to the others, "Hello!~"

She folded the paper up and stuffed it into her bag with the others, sinking further in her spot as her eyes glazed over.

Her lips were chapped, eyes sunken in, hair frizzed and tangled. She probably looked like a mental institute patient, but the rest of the group didn't look any better. Even with the awestruck, deer-in-headlights look she had, she had managed to drink everyone in. The fact that she was surrounded by humans, not zombies, and that the screaming and fighting from earlier was fading into the distance, overpowered by the rumbling of the tires on the gravel beneath them. She was amazed that she had made it. That she was alive right now, heading to safety under the protection of the military.

She took a short glance at Jake, eye brows furrowing together. She still had no idea how he figured it out or where he had heard it from. It seemed like impulse to her. Either way, she sighed and rolled her eyes, leaning back into her uncomfortable seat and considering letting sleep take her.

Her body was stiff, fingertips curled around the hem of her torn uniform tight. Her knuckled were white, and her lip was bleeding from being chewed on so much over the course of the bus ride. She was shivering, and she couldn't tell if it was because she was cold, or because she was scared. Xioimara hadn't come back, and now they were riding away.

Was it her fault? Maybe she should have stayed behind, but she just... She just wanted to get out of the way right? It was an accident, right? She wasn't dead, right? She had just missed the bus, but she would catch another and everything would be just fine.

But somewhere in her gut, she knew this wasn't reality. It terrified her. That woman had saved her life, taken care of her. If it weren't for her...Vanilla would have been dead a long time ago. The small girl couldn't even register the fact that Mia was there, and part of her didn't want to. Her and that boy had completely abandoned her. Her arms wrapped tighter around herself, a small whimper leaving. It was too much now, and the tears began to flow.

First of all, sorry you're going through this. It sounds like crap. >> Second, I'll answer what I can to the best of my ability, so sorry if it doesn't do any good. xD

How long does it take for a period to become regulated? I figured it'd just take like two or
three years for me but it's no where near being regular.

I'm not a period expert, so I have no idea. For me personally, it took about a year to become overall consistent, though sometimes it has it's...irregular moments.

How many of you have taken birth control? Were there any common symptoms, did it regulate your period, did it actually help with cramps?

My boyfriend came to visit me for prom and stayed for about a week, and before he did, I was scared the PMS monster would eat him alive and make prom night miserable, so I went to my doctor and started birth control so that when he came, Mother Nature would be locked out. B|

When I did it, it made me feel a little nauseous...I have a weak stomach, and my body doesn't like meds very much, so that could have been why? When I first started it was like that, but it's a cycle type thing so as time went on, I felt better. I skipped the period for that month though, I'm not sure if you're wanting to get rid of it all together or just help the symptoms. When I stopped taking it, it took a little for my period to normalize again, but it's fine now. The first one after that period of time was very light in comparison to the others. But I got none of my symptoms, just...A little sick. But water helped that, and then it was fine, and I felt great.

Edit; I also have friends who take it to get rid of it all together, until they're older or something, and they talk about it like it's nothing. Friends (more like acquaintances, really) have spazzed out on me about how I don't want to get rid of it. xD Apparently to some people it's just the thing to do.

Unless your mom comes in there with you, I suggest asking your doctor about it anyway. I mean, I'm sure they'll suggest something to you, but you know. It's kind of your body, not your moms, and she can't feel what you feel, and if it's really that bad, I say ask the doctor's opinion on it.

What symptoms did you have on the first day your period started?
Did any of you have it as severe as I've been getting it?

Uhh, the very first day? I felt nothing. It was just like, "wut." I started that in 6th grade. Now, usually, what happens...Um. I get really bad cramps. It runs in my family, bad periods. xD So I get awful cramps, head aches, fatigue, nausea, but nothing unbearable. I've always been able tolerate it. I've only had a couple of days I had to stay home from school because of how bad it got, but I could still deal with it.

If you fainted, or something because of the pain, and it was that bad, keep in mind. Your period has to do with your reproductive system, and blood loss. Anything causing that system to hurt unbearably should be looked at, regardless. ._. It might not be a problem with that, but maybe something else? I don't know, but I'm glad you're going to a doctor for it.

    Feel better soon!

I didn't think of the notification 'floods' being a factor because I wasn't sure how active other groups were (considering most are dead)--in general and related the activity to that of VMs and PMs. For you, (P), I see how it could become a hassle considering the Voxli group, but other groups don't seem to be that active at all, so I didn't think the notification system would become annoying, so thank you for bringing that up. (And Kelly, too.)

I'm not so passionate about this that I'll fight for it if there's an alternative. I just want a way to get notified when someone posts in a group I'm apart of or created. I thought briefly that maybe making it automatic would encourage more activity, because I don't think very many people subscribes to groups and they're forgotten about, often...But if they do, and subscriptions provide the same service, only optional, then that'll do.

Honestly, I don't know what subscribing to a group does exactly to inform you so someone should elaborate on that, please. If it's the same as what it does for when you subscribe to a thread, than that should suffice. Meaning, it'd show you the thread that was posted in and who last posted in it, etc. I've never subscribed to a group before.

Well, to test the dimensions that I randomly had, I drew a smiley face at the bottom of a 1279 x 2559 photoshop canvas to see if it'd end up at the bottom of my page, and it did.

I don't know if that helps. Lol. I don't know what fluid width is, though.

I watch it for fun. I'm not really immersed in it right now, but meh. It's not that bad. I like how real they all are. On Glee, things can become caked up and exaggerated easily, so the fact that these contestants are just people makes it worth watching to me. I'd be a little irritated with a 7-episode guest star prize, and that's coming from a Gleek. That's not even a full part. B|
