I'm guessing with the way it ended they just assumed everyone knew there would be a season 2. That being said it was an alright ending, definitely looking forward to the rest of the series.

First OVA is out and subbed. Spoiler: Fanserviceigurashi Ep 1 Well, it's obvious these new ovas aren't meant to be taken seriously. That being said the first OVA was absolutely hilarious, it was a lot like the first episode of Rei. I couldn't stop laughing at Mion shooting an AK74 at Takano and Keiichi. In fact Keiichi's reaction to everything just made this episode flat out funny. So yeah, nothing serious but hey... it's more Higurashi.
