    This is a public thread. People will see it. If they're interested, they'll post and support the idea. Just like with every suggestion made on this site.

    You could also go through the role play section and Visitor Message role players this link and ask them that way. If you don't know who role plays, then go to the RP Arena and look.

    It might seem like much, but if you're passionate about this suggestion you have to find support. I'm not going to make it official if you're going to be the only person using it.

    Okay, I looked at the site.
    • There will not be a sub-forum just for character sheets. It would be empty.

    I am willing to create a sticky thread for characters to be posted in, but only if enough people on would use it. If you can find more people on this site who would use it, then alright. I'll make it and stick it.

    In the meantime, if you want to post all of your characters in one place on-site, then you can do so in the OOC Lounge. In one thread.

    Okay, okay, can you PM me the Character sheet thing you're talking about from that other site, please? So I can see exactly how it's set up?

    I'm not saying I'll make one quite yet. But I'm willing to look into it.

    What image limit are you talking about?

    Also, just a suggestion, why don't you just use a word document to keep track of all of your characters? You can also use box.net or Google docs to do the same thing.

    I'm sure if enough people used it, it would be useful. Like I said, I have no problem with creating a thread for it. Just not sure who else would use it, and if there's really a point, since you can keep all of your characters in one place elsewhere.

    I wouldn't mind making a sticky in the RP Arena for people to use one post to edit in their different characters and keep track of them and such if they want.
    But at the same time, I don't think it's necessary at all and you can keep your character sheets organized yourself, off-site.

    So yeah. I don't mind. But we don't need it.
    I'll wait to see what more role players have to say about it, but there are alternatives to what you're asking for.

    Hmm.

    Well. I don't think I could really do much about it. I'm suffering, but everyone else is fine. I would definitely not want to just stay there and deal. So I'd probably quit and go search for somewhere else. Somewhere I belonged. ;___;

    @Makaze; Chevy got it, sorry. :c

    @Chevy;

    Recycled. In this scenario, you are American.

    You are 24, and very much in love with a foreigner. She is not an American citizen, but that doesn't particularly bother you, you figure you'll have her register shortly before you two marry. In this scenario, you would really love to spend the rest of your life with this girl, whether it's romantic or just as companions, and you don't believe in the institution of marriage; but you want to be bound emotionally, spiritually, mentally and legally to this woman.

    There's something about her that draws you in, and makes you feel alive. Like you have purpose and drive. As soon as she came into your life, it's as if the world came into color for the first time and your heart finally started to beat in tune to your surroundings. Surreal and beautiful, she's like a fantasy. She is not the reason you live, but is there by yourself to make the journey a more interesting and stimulating one.

    /&/

    A war breaks out between the US and the country your lover is from. You are from the US. In a fit of hysteria and panic, the United States government begins to deport people back to their own countries. They also begin a draft that you cannot refuse unless you are a veteran/handicap or ill, or else you will be arrested and executed for treason. Laws have been rewritten and discarded, the American people silenced and slaughtered by their own upon any sign of rebellion.

    Not wanting to get either of you killed, your lover is torn away from you and deported back to her country--the home front. You are drafted into the war, unable to contact her.

    While in the midst of war, you are trained to kill at sight. These people are 'bad'. You are mind broken, shattered and brainwashed into believing so. You aim for survival, you want to go home. You want this to be over, so you fight. You fight because you feel you have reason to.

    You enter a town full of people. There's supposedly uncover work happening here. Someone in this country is planning on orchestrating a mass terrorist attack, killing millions of people in the United States to avenge their country that's been torn apart and stepped on by your troops for years.

    During the mission, you lose contact with the other soldiers, underground and searching for the 'hide out'. You have your gun with you and several other weapons of war. All you can think about is surviving. You entire a room and see a group of people, speaking in their language, leaned over plans. They see you but aren't surprised. Among them you see the leader, and also a woman by his side. You recognize her as your lover. It's been about 2 years since this war started, but you remember her, and you remember your love for her.

    She is fighting because she believes it is right. Because she has been trained to. Because she believes the US deserve it and that this will help her side--her people survive somehow. She explains her rational to you, she looks you in the eyes, assuring the leader and other people that you are not harmful to them. You have an opportunity to attempt to take them all out. Their weapons are not visible. You believe she is wrong.

    Or you can turn around and leave, pretending you never found them.

    She claims to still have feelings for you and wants you to fight together. She will not be swayed and you will be killed if you oppose them verbally and without conflict.

    What do?

    @Vi; Nope. Born and raised in America (the US). My mom got the first four letters of my name from an actress. My dad added the last part on. They were 17/18. I think my dad was like, "hurr durr, this'll be cool!" I don't know. Oddly enough, I'm not the only one with my name in the US, but you are right to wonder.

    I dare you to write a serious two paragraph+ romantic, tragedy, horror story staring you and one other member of your choice. You and this other member must be in a romantic relationship as the story starts. The rest is up to you. I specify serious because it should make sense, and not be crappy on purpose out of laziness or whatever.

    The Beast: Part 5.5

    A few hours pass and you tend to her as best as possible. When things don't look any better, you start to think of a possible healer. Someone compassionate and intuitive, who knows what they're doing. [#1] You can't think of anyone off of the top of your head, so you ask What?. He mentions someone that he knows, and tells you he's willing to go off and send for them. You nod and ask him to come back with information about why Saxima is being searched for.

    When he leaves, you sit by her bedside and wait for him to return, keeping her warm and safe until his arrival.

    @Sforzato;

    Heart's Spell; Part Two - Conditions.

    You are immortal. You are called a Valen. The Valens are apart of an assembly of subordinates contracted power by their superiors known as the “Powerful Immortalsâ€. They come from diverse regions and their powers significantly differ, however each one of them desire reign over the same land. To win their right to KHVIDIA, the Valens formed a game to play, mimicking the actions of their predecessors. Winner takes all.

    Pawns (Members)

    The Pawns are the fundamental pieces on the Game Board that cannot be forcibly removed by the Valens. They are human and are unmindful to the Valens game at the initial start of it. The Pawns have no mystical abilities and are only proficient of reacting to the world and manipulations around them. The only control of the game they have is over their decisions.

    Rooks (Pieces)

    The rooks are the additional game pieces that are thrown onto the Game Board by the Valens. They have no hearts and their decisions and actions are controlled by the Players that cast them. Their sole purpose is to be used to manipulate the Pawns and assist their Player in winning the Game. However, despite this, they are the second most valuable pieces, even more valuable than the Players themselves (as the Players cannot physically enter upon the Game). A Player is able to get close to the Pawns and interact with them through their Rooks without breaking a rule. Rooks are still a risk to take, nevertheless. Rooks are capable of forming hearts and becoming a permanent piece in the Game. If this happens, the individual Player responsible of casting it out is disqualified and the Rook takes their place.

    Knights (DemiValens)

    The Knights are seven game pieces which can only be called on upon a seemingly hopeless situation. If a Player finds themselves trapped in a situation in which the enemy player can call “Check “upon them, then that cornered Player may call upon the Knights for aid (though it considered very disgraceful and borderline cheating). The Knights are very powerful beings who are in fact very unreliable. They posses their own agendas, unlike the Rook, and are known for being very cunning and uncertain in their moves. Their loyalty is doubtful, but they are still bound to assist in getting out of a tough spot. The hard part is getting them to leave the Game Board after the deed is done.

    Bishops

    The Bishops are what a Rook who gains a Heart become. Bishops are superior to Rooks and no longer have to take orders from the Player who cast them. They have their own hearts and own minds, able to do what they’d like, even assist the Pawns.

    Hearts (Spirits)

    Hearts are the key to the game. These “Hearts†are not referring to the muscular organ inside of a human. Instead, it is the word to represent the very passionate core and essence of a being. These Hearts are rarely seen in either the human realm or any other. It is a spectacular accomplishment for anyone to form a Heart, which is precisely why Rooks are granted some form of mortality if they succeed in doing so. To form a heart, one must also form a conscious and an agenda. The moment a heartless being begins to act out a specific purpose for an honest reason of their own is the moment they are granted a Heart.

    Check

    “Check†is called in the account of an immediate threat. A Player calls “Check†in the event of the opposite Player being in urgent danger of losing the Game. The lead Player is required to call this, to give the behind Player a chance to redeem themselves.

    KHVIDIA

    KHVIDIA is the world you are after. Vast, diverse and beautiful. Many different members and causes.

    The Game Board (Playing field, location)

    The Game Board is the playing field of the game in which the Pawns reside. This game board can change in occurrence to the Players wishes. This means that everything from the location, to the relationship of the pawns can change once one match ends. For example, at one point, the Game Board location may be at a school campus while in the next match, the location may be in the middle of nowhere. However, the Game Board cannot change in the middle of a match nor can it be in the human realm.

    Heart’s Spell

    Heart’s Spell is a forbidden form of gameplay. In the previous game played by the current Player’s precedes, a Valen by the name of SPDude called “Heart’s Spell†seconds before he would have lost the game. Heart’s Spell turns the game into a free-for-all, diminishing all rules and guidelines and permitting the most devious and unfair of moves. The game becomes an arms race, the Players entering upon the Game Board themselves.

    Rules

    ❖ If one player interferes with a Valen's plans by throwing another Rook (no hearts) into the game, the other Player(s) may steal a Pawn (member) for a short time.

    ❖ No player (Valens) shall physically enter onto the game board.

    ❖ An alliance shall be counted as one player. Punishment and rewards are equally distributed between the members of the alliance with the exception of an individual Player’s Rook (no hearts) forming a heart. In that case, the individual Player alone is punished.

    ❖ No more than one other Rook (no hearts) can be on the playing field from a Player (Valen) at once.

    ❖ A player (Valen) is disqualified if their additional piece (Rook) forms a heart and their own mind, becoming a permanent part of the game.

    ❖ A player (Valen) must always tell the truth. They are disqualified if they lie, through an additional piece or directly.

    Conditions

    Makaze wins so long as two or more of the pawns kill the other.

    CtR wins a on the occasion that the pawns form their own alliance against the players (Valens) and rebel, thus entering the game.

    Misty wins if the pawns give way to insanity and lose themselves.

    Chevalier wins if two or more of the pawns of fall in love.

    Sforzato wins if _____.

    > Write honest impressions for the members in lightblue.

    > Give yourself a condition. You will win if...? Consider the other's conditions. Keep it similar and fair. I may tweak it a bit.

    > Where will the pawns be interacting? Keep it simple. No powers, weapons. Leaves me more room to be creative. Give ages for each pawn. An example is a school, or something. Make sure the game board you chose will have enough positions and reason for everyone.

    I'd say Skyward Sword, but maybe that's because I'm obsessed with that and want it forever. ;~;

    But of course, PS3 has the most 'value'. As someone pointed out though, it's kind of pointless unless you can afford games for it or are really into the other features.
