WHAT IS THIS? It's just a collaboration type musical thingy with KHV members. Anyone can join. ANYONE. All you have to do is post the lines you want, record them, and send them to me on time. You can find the songs we'll be singing here! There are no auditions, no microphone restrictions. It doesn't matter if you think you're an amazing singer, or if your mic is fuzzy, all I ask if that you have fun with it and turn your parts in! HOW TO RECORD! You can find this here. RULES? Have fun! Send your lines to chorus@kh-vids.net in MP3 format. The lines in gray should be recorded by everyone. Once a line is striked / struck out, it means it's not available anymore. Please RESERVE your lines before you record. You can post in the thread with what lines you want. When you send your lines to me, you must have your lines timed to the instrumental in ONE long file !TIMED TO THE INSTRUMENTAL! PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME YOUR LINES IN ONE FILE BUT BACK TO BACK. INCLUDE THE SILENCES! Once again...TIME your vocals. Sing to the TIMING of the song. Sing to the song. Remember that I don't actually want to hear the song behind your vocals. If you sing along, wear headphones so your mic doesn't pick it up OR have the song really low while you record. If I hear it, the audience will too and that makes it sound bad. Please read don't pick lines that are back to back. (ex. 1, 2, 3, 4) Space them out throughout the song. Please help fill out the song. If you have the time, please pick the maximum amount of parts. REMEMBER to record the GRAY LINES. Otherwise, when the chorus sings together, your voice will not be included. Anyone can sing the gray lines, but I'm less likely to fit you into the video if the only thing you sang were the gray lines. (When it's much harder to fit everyone in to begin with.) If you sing the entire song, send me one version with JUST YOUR LINES and another with all of the lines. It's hassle to cut them up and the entire process takes longer. Please. I. Just. Want. Your. Lines. Stop sending me your lines in a long file WITHOUT TIMING. Space them out with the instrumental. No back to back lines meaning singing "the seaweed is always greener in somebody elses lake, under the seeeea, the carp plays the harp" etc, please stop. Sing your lines, and only your lines, and let the silence stay there. Please don't sing lines that aren't yours unless they're in another file that you send. Just sing your lines. Only your lines. Gray lines = sing them please? ;c It's a hassle to pick apart who sang them and who didn't and then only show those who sang them instead of showing everyone at once, so I usually just show everybody--which is stupid because it's obvious when everyone is not singing them, lol. Please sing them. Pay attention to the notes at the top of every song. I will tell you if it's okay to sing along with the original singer or if you should try to sing with the instrumental only. If you ever need a reference, just ask and I'll sing you one. If I provide a reference for extras like harmonies and stuff, please follow it. That's why I provide a reference. Not to be a control freak, but just...sometimes it sounds really bad. Really, really bad. Harmonies should be in-sync and they're more technical than ad-libs. Ad-libs you can have fun with and be individual about. Harmonies, however...Uniform and leveled, otherwise it's silly. It's like the difference between a solo and a quartet. You can be as unique as you want in your solos, but if you're singing with someone else and decide it'd be a good idea to go full-out screamo then it sounds bad and it's unfair to whoever you're singing with. There's a time to be uniformed, and a time to break free. I try to balance out the 'uniformed' and the individual parts. I've been lax about the renders, but it's really helpful to pick one where the character is standing up. Head to toe is the best. It's better if there are no weapons or unnecessary...accessories. A good example is the 500 miles video. So awkward when your render has a sword or something. There should be absolutely no background. Noooo backgrounnnnd. I'd render our images myself, but I'm horrible at that so please help out. ;c I've considered just drawing everyone a render to use because that would be a lot easier for me in the long run--but would take much longer. Legend Gray Lines = EVERYONE records that part. { ♥ } = Duets. TWO people can claim that part online. [ ... ] = Solos. ONE person can claim that. Only ONE solo per singer. This MAY change depending on how many people join. ♂ = Male ♀ = Female // = Anyone can sing/optional/adlib. If it's confusing now, no worries! She had rolled over onto her stomach, peering down through the glass with dark, wide eyes. Her lips curved up into a full grin, head cocked to the side and chin resting comfortably in her palms. Maybe she would give them a bit longer on their own. She was feeling rejuvenated and filled with anxiety, an excited giggle providing evidence of her restored voice. The rest of the pawns were proving themselves to be much more interesting than previously assumed; from the Lady's pathetic attempt of a warning, to the Victim's efforts to suppress some sort of homicidal instinct. The finale should be an interesting one. "Oh, good, they're all insane," Her voice was still quieter than before. She rolled onto her back, feeling the dark skirts of her dress tangle and twist around her hips. "See, Crestatia? I can manage this. I can manage an interesting game." Her eyes glared past the clear dome ceiling above, and off into the lonely whiteness beyond. Part of her thought she heard a hum of a response, but that was impossible. Crestatia wasn't allowed here anymore. Things had already seemed to be settled down by the time Bellatrix had started to return from the hall. How annoying. The woman had opted for going to sleep, and as she traveled the halls, she passed the her and Daxam. Alexandria looked a bit odd herself. Odd enough to maybe fit in with the rest of them. She had that glint of something in her eyes. Bellatrix didn't bother taking her own off of the young human for a while. She smiled, but just briefly, before turning her face forward again and descending the main staircase. She was both glad and disappointed that she didn't have to suffer through dinner with the lot of them. That was usually the time they spent getting to know their victim, and vice-versa. It was actually one of the most fun events meant for them all. A time to spoil their guest, and mull over their plans. To skip it meant this situation wouldn't last very long. The girl would be dead sooner than later, which was both sad and satisfying to think about. Without consulting Dona (as he was occupied with his wretched wife), Belle made her way to the kitchen. It smelled wonderful, for what it was. At least to her, who didn't necessarily have craving for human. Elizabeth had been preparing all of this, only for it to go to waste. Sad. "She decided to go straight to sleep." The witch murmured, eyes taking in the splendors before her. The kitchen was full of exotic smells--and heat. Warmth swept over her, bringing a faint flush to her cheeks. Bellatrix was well aware of her fragility and physical humanity in comparison to the other's of the demon variety. She carried herself in such a way that the difference was not apparent to those outside of the family. She isolated herself on purpose, her voice thick with arrogance and pride. She didn't enjoy speaking with them, interacting with them, waiting on them, killing with them, or anything of that sort of variety. Thus, she constantly wracked her brain for some sort of explanation. Some sort of reason they had all ended up stuck together and why this situation seemed so much different from what she could remember feeling from before. Why? What had changed? Why them? Why her? Why was she there? But instead of showing all of that confusion to the girl before her, she simply waited for her reaction to the news she had shared.

Congratulations to the both of you making it this far. You've done wonderfully throughout the challenges. Thank you for your patience as well. Here are some of the critiques you got throughout the season... Midnight Star Spoiler: Hide|Show ★ My problem with the post was that it left me a tad under whelmed. There was nothing wrong, per say, but there was that special ‘je ne sais quoi’ missing. I know this next piece of advice is gonna sound like complete BS, but try to find some kinda magic into your writing, find a point you’re trying to get across, make us feel something. ★ Some missing punctuation, more on the boy's side than anything, and could have used some more detail. But those are really the only bad things I see here, expect maybe adding in a bit more emotion next time. ★ Always put the effort in to use words in their entirety…. ★ There's just something kinda vague about the whole thing, though, that I can't quite put my finger on. ★ My only critique is that if felt like it fizzled out near the end. I don’t think that’s out of laziness, but because that same sense of heightened emotion was gone. ★ If there’s really one thing that I have to say that I can’t quite get into about the post, it is that it doesn’t seem to correlate too smoothly with the character’s defined personality. I understand that her “shut in†sort of nature is one that is stayed by a rather vicarious inner fire. However, I feel that such a personality is one that requires more brooding time. P Spoiler: Hide|Show ★ I must express that you need to be careful. When asked to use both of your characters in a challenge, try to use both of them a good amount. ★ You're obviously a very good writer, I'd just tone it down from 'best selling novel' to 'kickass role playing post' if I were you, if you get what I'm saying? ★ Maybe a bit graphic considering younger readers may of stumbled upon it, as there are some on the forums. A warning next time is in order. ★ She just sort of appears first as a caged creature of some sort, and it seems she just magically gets into Faust’s pocket without any real how or why. ★ It’s not that a lot of detail is a bad thing or something like that. It’s really just that you took a lot of time and shoved a lot of detail into what was essentially a single experience or happening. ★ However, though the detail was vivid and well written out Jayn made a point that this is for rp, and not mini stories. So perhaps a little cutting back here and there. It was still a wonderful read either way. ★ Your post was very good and very detailed, but, to me, it seemed to read as something more for a novel than an RP post Anyway.
