@Slaughter; If my date knew what I wanted. Though...I'm unpredictable, so it probably wouldn't work very well, if my date was guessing what I wanted, based off of 'knowing me well enough'. I tend to try something new each time I go out to eat, unless I'm not feeling too risky. xD; If we talked about it before hand and I mentioned to them that I was looking to get something and he ordered for me when the waiter came, then I'd be cool with that.

Otherwise, it would just result in an awkward moment if they said I'd be getting one thing, and I was actually planning on ordering something completely different.

Agreeing, to an extent? That's what I'm saying by partnership. Whether it's for some of the more serious things that I mentioned, or just for dates and stuff, I would prefer either us both paying for ourselves, or treating each other from time to time. I don't think it should just fall on the guy, nor do I think it should all fall on the girl ... in my case. lolol. But I am not opposed to being taken care of in any case.

No. But there's a difference between someone wanting it and someone's life revolving around it (which is semi-what I was referring to.) The amount of people who seem to think that being in a relationship is the only thing in life that could possibly make them happy is saddening, to say the least. It honestly annoys me, personally, when someone's consistent 'life problem' has something to do with the fact that they're romantically lonely. It's natural to be sad about the single life, and to feel lonely sometimes, but when the only reason someone is miserable and depressive and feels like life is meaningless is because they're not dating someone, it's sad.

This of course, becomes more understandable with age. I'd probably sympathize more with someone older than thirty, witnessing friends and family getting married and having children, alone for like 20 years.

    That's an interesting perspective.

I somewhat have an issue with that? I mean, idk. Everyone on this forum is relatively young, lol. I was dating someone on KHV for a while, and now we live together. I pay for everything. Every date. I also paid his way for school. I recently got a car, and I drive us everywhere. Before then, I paid for the bus. I bought him a bus pass. At one point, I gave him my money, so he could pretend to take me on a date and I could pretend not to be paying for it. /lame

He took me to prom last year. I paid for his tux and shoes. I paid for my own flowers and corsage, excluding everything else I paid for. I paid for his plane tickets. I pay for the groceries, gas. I bought him a new wardrobe, bed, etc.

I was fine paying for everything, starting out. But honestly, 9+ months of catering to someone who makes no effort whatsoever to do anything... yeah. That's kind of a bother. I'm independent and can pay for my own things, but I guess that I'd prefer an equal partnership. I can't psychically or financially depend on him for squat. I guess, for me, it would actually feel nice to be taken care of, at least once, for one day.

    No.

The good feelings only last so long for me. Actually, they only last during the crush/courting period.

Soon after comes either despair or monotony (or both). Neither are worth anything to me.

Non-romantically, though, yeah love all around

I wish more people were like this instead of whining about how alone they are simply because they aren't in a relationship. Independence is attractive.

It does for me personally, but I don't judge other's. It's a preference. I find myself generally (romantically) unattracted to anyone younger than me despite maturity. Unless said person has a lot going on in their life and is ahead of me in terms of schooling or career or both, I am usually disinterested. I don't know why. I guess because I'm still young, so anyone drastically younger than me is a baby in my eyes. I'm a baby in my own eyes, how can I take a 15 year old seriously? Plus, I would feel like a pedophile.

Older than me is different, somewhat...Honestly I would be turned off by anyone younger than me in any way, but older than me has some more room. Now that I'm an 'adult', I'd be comfortable dating someone 1-5 years older than me without feeling like they were creeping on me. My perspective on the number-aspect will probably change as I get older.

I'm not one to religiously cling to these 'limit's I have. I'm sure that if I fell deeply in love with someone who was say, 18, I would be pretty open-minded about it. And like I said, I'm more concerned about what's going on in their life. I can't imagine trying to get a career going for myself and moving out, etcetc, while my partner is venting to me about high school homework. So long as we're on the same page, or they're ahead, I'm cool. Otherwise I would feel more like their parent or older sibling. This is said from experience and is simply my opinion and personal preference.

    Thank you. *___*

Mmkay. So, I've gotten 2/4 confirmations. One person has seen the PM and thread but has neglected to respond. The other hasn't been online. I'll wait for the one who hasn't been on, but I may go ahead and replace the one who seems disinterested before the 24 hour limit, so everyone else has enough time to record and work on it while I'm offline.

I've opened the thread so that those who have confirmed their places can pick what they want. Before I go away (in a couple of hours) I am going to contact one of the fill-ins.

And sleep doesn't exist in my world, Cat. Its just "change msn status and refrain from posting on khv for 4-5 hours to rest wrists from typing all day. Lurk. Repeat 20-26 hours alert online."

    Zero to Hero
    Deadline: Before April 26th.

    Notes;

AHAHAHA, good luck. Who suggested this? xDD Oh man. What a great night.

Ahem. But seriously. There are a lot of 'ad libs'. Lots of gospel 'Aaaaah!'s and stuff. Feel free to do those, lol. Oh god. I'm sorry.

Now the way this works is that I'll have this thread closed until the singers are revealed and reply to my invitation. No one claim lines except for the ones who receive the invitation. This song was chosen randomly, as will the four singers be. You'll not know who you're singing with until I get a reply from everyone.

The deadline is shorter than a week and always will be unless the song is really long or in another language. There are only four people singing as opposed to 13+ so we really don't need more than a couple of days. That being said, there is no drop-out grace period. If you reply to my invitation and say that you can do it, I'll be expecting your lines unless there is a emergency.

If you KNOW you're going to be too busy to record in the next couple of days, then please reply to the invitation letting me know you'll be busy and can't participate. If I don't get a response from you in 24 hours or less from the time I send you the invitation, I'll be generating a new number to take your place.

Keep in mind that there is a difference between busy and not knowing the song well/not liking the song. If you're going to be fickle depending on the song choice then this project may not be for you. The potential challenge/unfamiliarity is part of the event/game. Try to stick with it. I will always try my absolute best to be respectful towards you and the things you absolutely cannot do. I will re-draw if your name comes up and you've stated you're uncomfortable with the type of song.

I also promise on everything I love that I will not be tampering with any of the randomization of it all. I will hit generate, and that is that UNLESS two of the same numbers come up or the song that's chosen doesn't have a find-able instrumental.

To pick your 'parts', all you have to do is post when the thread is opened (I'll let you know) and chose the shape you want.

    The Song?

    Lyrics/Parts:

Black Lines = EVERYONE records that part.

    ♦ = Andrew

    ♥ = Saxima

    ★ = Mish

    ✿ = Sumi

When all of the shapes are black, I've received all confirmations.
When a shape reverts back to red, it means it's taken by another singer.

    [♦] Bless my soul
    Herc was on a roll
Person of the week in evry Greek opinion poll

    [✿] What a pro
    Herc could stop a show
Point him at a monster and you're talking SRO

[★] He was a no one

    A zero, zero

    [♥] Now he's a honcho

    He's a hero

[♦] Here was a kid with his act down pat

From zero to hero in no time flat

    There he goes again
    Sweet and undefeated
And an awesome 10 for 10

    Just to watch him flex

    [♦] And this perfect package
packed a pair of pretty pecs

    Hercie, he comes
    He sees, he conquers
    Honey, the crowds were
    Going bonkers
He showed the moxie brains, and spunk

    Bless my soul
    Herc was on a roll
    Undefeated
    Riding high

    [♥]And the nicest guy

    not conceited

    He was a nothin'
    A zero, zero
    Now he's a honcho
    He's a hero

He hit the heights at breakneck speed
    From zero to hero
    Herc is a hero
    Now he's a hero
    Yes indeed!

I tried to wait for one of the other judges to initiate, but alas.

    Everyone

Initial impression was that everyone was slow to post. The first post was made two days after the opening post, and then ... no one else really did anything until a day to three later. Had I not extended the deadline, a handful of you all would have been disqualified. If you're confused, speak up and say something. Another tip is to not wait for someone else to post. This was a partnered challenge and a few of you intentionally waited for the other partner to post when you were capable of posting yourself. If you're stuck on ideas, brainstorm and figure it out. I personally believe posting is better then not, even if you personally don't think it's good enough. Unless the role play is officially turn-based and you have to wait, post. Take initiative.

Another thing is that there were a lot of ... unfinished ones? I'll say it again, but I generally extend the deadline when it's asked for, so if the reason was too little of time, then that could have been avoided.

    Pair critiques.

    Tale_Wind x Wigglz

Very nice start, Wigglz. c: Immediately interested me and such. You two had great chemistry, imo. Detailed/effort-showing posts, wit and communication. On top of that, you finished! There was actually an end in there, I'm so proud of you, lol.

I don't have much to say, I really enjoyed reading that.

    miaulement x flowergothic

I really like the kidnapping idea! Good job.

Alriiight. Here's another one that's inconclusive. The kidnapped scenario was really good, but nothing really tied itself together. For example, why drug and kidnap someone just to give them an escape? It was anti-climatic, I guess, and in the end, flowergothic didn't post again so, wondering if you two talked this out and thought that was a good note to leave off on or if flowergothic just didn't post again.

    Nights x Master of Keyblades

Thank you for starting off, MoK. As a team, you two were pretty good.

I liked how Jaden built off of Nights' knife thing. The scenario in itself wasn't very specific, I suppose. I understood that you guys were surrounded, but I didn't know how you knew each other or ... anything other then that. You were just there. And in the end, Nights never replied again. I'm not sure if you guys talked the scenario out or not, but it was all inconclusive. Nothing really happened, so that's a disappointment.

    Individual Critiques.

If you're not here, I don't have anything specific to comment on.

Spelling. I noticed a lot of spelling errors. v: Easily solvable, nothing else much to add.

Sometimes your sentences don't make much sense to me? Like a word or something will be missing from making it a complete sentence, which isn't incomprehensible, but I advise you to read through your post before you hit submit. Other then that, you have some posts sometimes that I think could benefit if you put more effort into them. Last season we had a problem with people writing too much, this season we have a problem with people writing too little, lol.

I may add some more later but yeah, that's it for now. I'll wait a couple more days. If the rest of the judges don't post by then, we'll move onto the voting without them.
