You hesitate with the match. It is your last one after all. What if you need it later? Instead, you tuck it back into the matchbox and move closer to the door. The frightening sounds are faded now and you have a sudden burst of confidence! You turn the switch to your flashlight to on and shine it directly at the door. When nothing happens, you peer down into the hole. It seems like a door knob is missing? You shine your flashlight towards the hole and narrow your eyes.

When your light shines directly on the hole, a collection of mist forms around it. You reach out your hand and grasp what feels to be a makeshift doorknob. When you remove the light, it feels as though nothing but air is there. ​

You turn off the flashlight. You can feel the group huddle closer to you in the darkness and you wonder why. What can you possibly do? Why are they all following your lead? You're nothing but a scared little kid. A coward with a flashlight. You're nothing. Nothing. Nothing. And still, your friends inch closer and closer behind you. Somehow during this whole thing, you've discovered something inside you didn't even know you had. Perseverance? Survival instinct? Regardless, you've become the leader. You briefly wonder; would things have been different if you had given up the flashlight...?

The mist thickens and the whispers intensify. You feel as though you're being watched, and a low moan reverberates around you. The fear is still there, but it's battled fiercely by determination. You can do this. You can get out of here.

Spoiler

The feeling of being watched dies away with a few more passing moments. You are alright. ...Though the sobbing from behind the door has yet to stop.

Um. You have to actually post what song you'll sing, with the instrumental, following the rules. And you'll have to get your part into me by tomorrow.~

Good idea. It's only three pages and the conclusion isn't clear (will be elaborated on either here or in the sequel), but it'll give you a good feel for Declarations and the nature of the old Coordinator and Crestatia.
