In the recent issue of Famitsu, Nomura has shared some tidbits from the next two games "KINGDOM HEARTS ReCoded and KINGDOM HEARTS 3D", which was recently announced at E3 2010. Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded - Re:Coded is being developed to allow more fans to experience the game, the DS was selected as most people have the hardware. - Another reason for the hardware choice is that Coded was developed with the lack of analog in mind. - The story will be the same as Coded, but aside from the event scenes the game will see many major changes. - The game is targeting more casual gamers, and will have an adjustable difficulty setting like The World Ends With You. - The design concept for Re:Coded includes elements from Coded with Birth by Sleep and Days. - The co-director of Birth by Sleep is supervising the battle planning for the game, while the same team will be handling the map design. - The level up system in the game will be an expansion of the ideas from 358 Days - There will be multiplayer elements, including avatars which can be unlocked featuring the characters from Birth by Sleep, as well as Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. - There will be a secret movie in the game. - Currently 80% complete. Kingdom Hearts: 3D - This game is not a remake, it is a brand new entry in the Kingdom Hearts Series. - This is the next stage of the franchise after Coded/358/BbS. - Sora and Riku will be the playable characters in the game, and they will be visiting new worlds. - There will be various hints relating to this game hidden in Re:Coded. - There should be more information and announcements at next year's E3. E3 2010 ended yesterday, but it feels like the event continues as we are now able to view the KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Coded trailer, which was shown at it's Square-Enix booth. KHInsider's "Ulti" attended the event and was able to record the trailer that was shown at the event. Now KH fans are looking for a sneak peek at KINGDOM HEARTS 3D and possibly a better quality video for KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Coded.
Hey everyone, Finding this out, I just had to share this story with you guys. Apparently forum member "AcmePunched" from MiceChat made a Kingdom key from the KINGDOM HEARTS series. AcmePunched brought the keyblade with her to Disney Land for the Disney characters to pose with until she was stopped. "A security guard came up to me and asked about the key," she stated. "I assured him it was just cardboard and foam, but he asked me about 'the story behind it'." AcmePunched mentioned that the keyblade was made from a Disney game. "He then proceeded to tell me that 'due to its size' it wasn't allowed inside the park, and that I needed to take it apart and keep it in my bag or put it in a locker until I left for the day." Hey everyone, This is a small update, but there's some good news to report about from the E3 2010 event. KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep has been nominated for IGN's "Best of E3 2010". Along with this title being nominated, KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep has also won an award for Gamespot's "E3's People's Choice Awards". KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep is scheduled to release in Spetember 2010. KINGDOM HEARTS ReCoded has been confirmed for release in Japan sometime Fall 2010.
The official website for KINGDOM HEARTS ReCoded has launched, but it's not what fans have expected. Link: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/kingdom/recoded/ KINGDOM HEARTS ReCoded was believed to be a remake for North America and Europe, but is it possible that the pieces are finally connecting? Nomura stated that there are still two more titles that will release after Birth by Sleep, before production begins for KINGDOM HEARTS III. So does this mean that fans finally know that these are finally the last two games before KINGDOM HEARTS III? KINGDOM HEARTS ReCoded and KINGDOM HEARTS 3D are both new titles and from the looks if it, this may be the last two side games as we approach the next best thing.
If we had anymore side games, I would want it to be based on Aqua. It's so obvious that she is facing more then we think. She can't just be sitting in darkness and not defeating anything during the time period. The 3D title should focus on just that. ...And then you can also make a title based on before BBS, where it focuses on Eraqus and MX.
I agree. I mean...there's always time to put out side stories as more of the bigger titles are released.
That was how the game was originally made, but it was only a beta at the time.
