If you mean BACKGROUNDS and SCENERY it was to save money. It's a lot easier for somebody to draw 1 background and use it multiple times than it is to keep redrawing new ones/the same ones.

Dead grumbled as she was pushed to the side. "Watch it, you *******!" she yelled after him, fixing her hair and outfit. Blinking her eyes, Dead could have sworn she saw something move in the shadows. Shaking her head, she finished fixing her clothes and stomped over to Ethel. "Looks like Damnation just left the building. That means you have free reign I bet. Go anywhere you want so long as it's down here and all." she commented to Ethel. This could be pretty interesting, getting to wander around this new place and she couldn't pass up the opportunity. "Since you obviously have been here before, why don't we go explore? Or you could at least show me around." she said, placing her hands on her hips. Doku's dreams were pretty eventful tonight. Instead of them being nightmares like they were earlier, they were full of her and the baby inside of her. Doku dreamed about staying around with Valinton and raising the child together. It was then that, towards the end of this dream, that she woke up. "What a dream. If only it were possible to live a life such as that." she sighed, sitting up. She checked the clock on her phone to notice it was nearly morning. How long had she slept? "It has been only four hours..." she sighed, pressing buttons on her touch screen. Going to her address book, she found Valinton's number and called him. She waited until he picked up, if he ever picked up, and began to smile. "Hello Valinton..." she would say. "Yes, I am at home...I was sleeping a little bit. Would you happen to be in the neighborhood? If not, could you at least come to my home and sleep for a little while with me?" she would finish, before getting off the phone and laying back down. She would then fall back asleep until Valinton came to her home or until morning arrived.

Ananta listened to Kross' responses and could easily tell that she was overloading him with questions. "Sorry." she said, scratching her cheek momentarily. She nodded at him saying he didn't want to talk about it. Whatever happened to him, it must have been something pretty bad if he was as touchy about the subject as he was. Kross then mentioned Anta, asking her if he was her son. "Yes...he is my son. From a chapter in my life that's finally over. Maybe we can talk more in private, Kross?" she suggested, turning towards the other end of the hallway. "Mostly because there is a big group of people surrounding Glen." she chuckled. Ananta didn't want to talk about personal matters in the open with people who didn't really need to hear any of it. She grabbed Kross' arm and lead him towards a small break room at the end of the hallway. She sat down in a chair and sighed with relief. For the first time in a long time, she could finally have a moment to sit down and rest, talking with an old friend. "What happened to you? I know it's probably something bad, but I want to know what happened. Twenty years is a long time, you know." she said, firmly, to Kross. Anta was hoping Karina would be ecstatic to hear that Anta wanted to protect Dawn and someday be her husband. He didn't expect her to slap him and tell him no. After being slapped, he rubbed his cheek where she slapped him. His fingers ran across the scars, remembering how he had protected Dawn against the giant heartless. It was then that Karina noted it would end in pain and that she wasn't there for most of their lives. "It's true that you haven't been with them for all of their life, but that doesn't mean you can just stand here and start deciding things FOR THEM." he yelled. Anta stood up with an angry expression on his face. "How dare you yell and slap me. If it weren't for me, you probably wouldn't have even had the chance to SEE DAWN. I SAVED HER WHEN SHE WAS GOING TO DIE." he continued to yell, tears forming in his eyes. "It hurt knowing that she might have died, BUT I DID MY BEST SO SHE WOULDN'T. And you want to know WHY I did it?" he paused, huffing. "Because I love her and would be utterly lost without her." he finished. With a swing of his hand, the door to the room opened. "My mom is in the break room by now, why don't you go talk to her. Maybe you'd learn something about what happened. Maybe you'd learn about differences in CULTURE as well." he growled, sharp teeth bared at Karina. He was giving her the same look as Ananta did all those years ago before she had attacked Karina and bit her.

In COM I think the fact that Marluxia gathered Sora's memories into cards may have jumbled his memory on how to use his magic and other abilities. At least, that's the excuse I'm going with. In KH2 it was because he was out of commission for a whole year, so he couldn't keep up with his studies. In KH3, he may just have to relearn everything because of his training. That, or he might start with some magic. Who knows.

Ananta heard Gexln walk over and speak with Xero. He even held her hand and made her cry. This reminded her of her late husband and brought a tear to her eye. It was true, they didn't have the best of relationships, but she was happy enough. She couldn't say the same for him, however, but she was happy at least. Placing her hands on her hips, she chuckled at the two. "I'll leave you two lovebirds alone then." she said. "Don't do anything stupid, alright?" she said, winking and walking away. Ananta closed the door and turned towards where Kross was standing. Looking further down the hall, she spied Anta, Karina, Dusk, and Dawn walking into a room. She almost wanted to follow them but she knew they'd be fine. They had Karina, if anybody were to attack, they'd probably die from a single punch from Karina. Ananta stepped slowly towards Kross until she was right in front of him. Kross had grown since their journeys years ago. He was now at least an inch taller than Ananta. Raising her hand, she checked the height difference and frowned. "Wow, you got taller. What did you do? And why is your hair white?" she asked him. The last time Ananta saw Kross, he had brown hair and was pretty short for a guy, now he's taller AND has white hair? "Did something happen? Tell me all about it." she smiled, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall with him.
Gexln's words permeated her brain and heart. "You are a nobody and yet you are showing some type of remorse. Both of you are. Which makes me wonder a few things. Are Nobodies truly without hearts? Can they truly go on and never have a heart and only mimic the feeling?" Ananta spoke, trying to understand what was going on. "Or can they actually have hearts once again if they are around those with hearts long enough? That is what I'm wondering. My wondering is confirmed when I see those who are Nobodies speaking strongly of certain things. And Xepphiras confirmed my thoughts, what with her words and all. R speaks with emotion for her, but that is something I'm not sure of." To tell the truth, Ananta wasn't sure if he was a Heartless, a person, or a Nobody. Ananta finished healing Gexln and looked at him. "Okay, you look better now. You're always going to have that scar on your chest, but other than that you should be fine." she said, poking at the large scar where he was stabbed. "I'll heal your friend, Xero, now." she said, walking over to her. "Why so blue? Where are you injured, if at all?" she asked Xero. "Hey don't be mean to me. I haven't done anything wrong, I promise!" he said, raising his hands up. They arrived in one of the many rooms and he shut the door behind them. He sat on the bed next to Dawn and looked at Karina. "What I wanted to tell you isn't really that big of a deal and you don't have to tell me your thoughts yet but..." Anta said, clearing his throat. He wasn't sure what or how he could tell Karina that he wanted to be with Dawn forever. He even promised her he'd protect her, or at least he thought he did, and that was pretty important to him. "I kinda asked Dawn if someday she'd let me be hers forever. I'm not exactly the strongest of guys, but she makes up for it. She's got your strength. Now, I'm not the best healer, but I can really hurt stuff with my magic. But that's just how our world is. Girls in the Seven Sages' families are destined to be healers or a Sage if they're the youngest daughter. Boys are destined to be defenders and protect the Seven Sages." he told her. "So what I'm asking is if you'd give me your approval or not. I haven't asked Eon yet...but I'm asking because my mom trusts you and Eon and Dawn and Dusk. That's why Dawn, Dusk, and I grew up together. Either it was me staying with them or them staying with us, we practically were raised as family. But I care for Dawn more than a sibling." he finished. He stood and bowed down on the ground.

Dead gushed at the monstrous roar. Hearing Colossal stomp around always put butterflies in her stomach. "Ooooh~" she said with glee. "Colossal...is happy! He must have ate someone or something delicious." she wiggled around. Dead readjusted herself and cleared her throat. As much as she relished hearing Colossal roar, she had to keep up appearances. "Eherm, well, with that out of the way, we should probably be careful as we leave. Of course, we COULD just stay here and eat at the kitchen. If there is one, at least..." she grumbled. Yes, she enjoyed hearing Colossal roar, but in the end, she would never dare go against it. Certain death is the only thing waiting for you if you go anywhere near it. "Maybe we can even meet this Damnation guy." she nodded. Turning around, she walked out of the room and stepped into the hallway. She knew nothing of this place, but she decided to wander around and take a look at it while she still could. Who knows if she'd ever need to come back here some day. There was another door here and it was slightly open. Stepping towards it, she heard a threat being made towards someone and she could only frown. "Jeez..." she said to herself. Turning to Ethel she asked, "Who's room is this?"

Spoiler: Notes This is just a small story about how my OC Ananta's world came to be. She is a character in the roleplay Kingdom Hearts SOS. A lot of the words here may change at a later point and I will update this thread with more to the story as I get the inspiration for it. Many names words will reference the Hindu goddess Adi Parashakti. If anything I write contradicts what is written about that character, please inform me so I may make appropriate changes! Ages ago, there was a world that had a large crystal in it's center. This crystal was what made the inhabitants of this world live and thrive, giving them the energy they needed to do extraordinary tasks. Women were able to heal and mend wounds that would almost certainly be fatal. Men would create things for the world. At first, they were divided and could not come to an agreement on who would rule over this world. It was then that a man rose to power who would end up destroying the world. His name was Asura and he had a following that grew by the years. By the time he had grown to be eighty, he had grown tired of playing around with the rulers of the world and waged a war. He won and soon they were keeping all the precious energy of the great crystal to themselves. Unbeknownst to them, a smaller group of seven women gathered together to take him down. While Asura had the power, he could not control the Great Crystal as much as a woman could. It was then that the group, calling themselves the Seven Sages, were finally able to cut off the energy supply to Asura's army. The Seven Sages charged into his castle and defeated each of his men and sparing the ones that did not fight. The leader of the Seven Sages, Adi Parashakti, confronted Asura himself. He gazed upon the leader of the Seven Sages and bowed to her. He swore fealty and was spared the same fate as many of his own men. In time, the world was returned to what it once was. There were still some people who disliked the Seven Sages taking control over the world, but they did little or nothing about it. Years passed and it came to be Adi's wedding day. Over the years, she and Asura had grown close and agreed to a grand marriage. Preperations were made and after many months, they were at their wedding day. Upon the altar, graced by the Great Crystal's light, they began to speak their vows. Behind them, the Great Crystal began to grow dim and crack. Liquid seeped out of the crystal, as if it was crying, and poured down onto the altar. By the time Adi and Asura had made their vows and were wed, they were both swept away by the torrential water. Adi herself soon passed out, holding onto her husband. After what seemed like an eternity, Adi awoke upon a beach with her husband. Gripping her crystal, she looked down to see it had gone dim and barely had any light left in it. Standing up, she woke her husband and told him of the situation. They both agreed that they would reside on this world and try to recreate their own. Gazing upon a great tree in the middle of a town, they smiled and began to approach. They soon learned that they were in the 'Realm of Twilight' and that the tree was named Yggdrasil. Once they were settled into their own home with their own jobs, they decided to finally have a child. Months passed of them trying to get Adi pregnant, that they were beginning to lose hope. Eventually, Adi was sick one morning and went to a doctor who told her that she was indeed pregnant with a child. Excited, she told Asura and they both agreed to name their child Anta once it was born. The nine months went by fairly fast, but Adi couldn't help but feel as if her energy was being drained. The final month of her pregnancy left her bedridden, unable to even stand for longer than a few minutes, she was in immense pain. On a cold day, Anta finally came into the world. Adi did not make it. As soon as Anta was born, Adi passed out, her body disappearing. The only thing left that confirmed that Adi even existed was her crystal that laid on the bed.
