It's because I failed to initiate the first quote, so when you quote it your quote is getting messed up by when i said [/quote] in my text. If you try to quote this it will quote up to said, then have [/quote] at the end. Here->[DOUBLEPOST=1359084666][/DOUBLEPOST] in my text. technically, it's equally correct either way. The site was just programmed lazily.
My guess is either the programming is really bad, or they're trolling you.
No one arena duels anymore though >.> I mean.. people would probably duel you if you challenged them, but it's been a long time since anyone issued a challenge.
One of the enemies on that level wields the Horse Slayer lance, and another wields a Halberd. Both do massive damage against mounted targets like Seth. If either of you are having sight range issues, Colm has eight sight range, and you can buy a staff called Torch for Natasha or Molder that will let you light up a rather large area around a target point. If you visited the highest house in the level before, you will have revived a torch consumable item that will increase your view range to eight, but cause it to decrease by one per turn until it's back at the usual three.
Oh.. Poor Franz. I'm surprised you could carry him though. I suppose the mounted and flier aid bonus are pretty large.
I mean don't use the rescue command to pick them up and carry them away on a flying horse. Simply kill the monster slowly walking towards them from the fog, or end the mission before the monster gets there.[DOUBLEPOST=1358995312][/DOUBLEPOST]You can actually have Vanessa carry one of your more powerful units and drop them in with the citizens, then have them rescue one citizen, and take it's place to fight the spider, although the spider gets heavy defensive buffs from the mountains.
Don't rescue the citizens, either have Vanessa kill the spider if she can, or just try to finish before the spider gets there.
As I said, everyone is really good if you actually use them.
Yes, but if you don't train anyone else you'll have issues later. I personally don't use him because he starts so powerful, and he steals so much exp.
Ever heard of Blitzkrieg? They're riding Wyverns, and I'm not sure how much of a thing fliers are for Renais. Although I do know Pegasus Knights are a big deal in Frelia. If you can outrun the messengers, you can outrun the news.
The great thing about easy is that there's literally no difference between it and normal, aside from the tutorial :P
Apparently if the enemy can't counter-attack and you double attack and the first hit pierces and you do a lot of damage, you can end up dealing damage to them again before their health bar finishes decreasing from the first attack, which causes the game to freeze. And this can be avoided by turning off animations.
No.. I think it was the other promote, wyvern knight. It's a bug with the pierce ability happening, so it's with whichever class gets that.
Wyvern lord has a glitch with javelins, so if you use them you risk crashing the game. I thought he came pre-promoted wyvern lord though.. Now that I think about it, he wasn't. I can't remember his other potential promote though. And I don't think they Wyvernlord gets good resist. Wait, no that was knight wasn't it..
I like the Falcoknight better. Cormag's defense is solid, but his resist isn't very good, and his defense isn't enough to make him stop worrying about arrows, and he doesn't have the speed to dodge them like a Falcoknight can. That being said, while my Tana can survive one shot from an arrow, and is fast enough to double return with a javelin, she can't survive two shots. Both of them probably stop worrying so much about arrows in the higher levels though. @Brook, vain.
That's the thing: Everyone at their full potential is amazing. I had a level nine unpromoted berserk Ephraim mow down half of an army of mages, while my level four Falcoknight Tana soloed the level's boss, a general, in two rounds then moved in and singlehandedly took down the other half of the army without being hit a single time. The other eight people, who I hadn't been leveling much, struggled to beat a mixed force that was approximately equal in size to the groups of mages that Tana and Ephraim were killing.
You were complaining about the dragons.. Is it possible to have him fight a dragon?
You can have brilliant fantasies about killing him without actually killing him y'know.
Joshua can be a boss, yes, but no more of a boss than Eirika can. They have the same pre-promotion stat caps, and while I haven't looked at their bases and scale rates, I doubt his are much better. In Fire Emblem anyone you focus on leveling can become godlike. In Sacred Stones the one exception is Tethys, as she is the only character who can never do damage. I'd argue that Eirika is better than Joshua as she can equip the Rapier, and one of the Sacred Twin weapons of Renais, plus when she promotes she becomes mounted, thus having higher mobility, and increasing her con and aid scores at beat Joshua's. That said, Joshua and Eirika are very similar pre-promotion. Edit: Checking the growth rates, Joshua has 10% (additively) higher HP growth chance, while Eirika has 5% more strength skill and speed growth, 10% more def and resist growth, and 30% more luck growth. Base stats are hard to tell, as Joshua is level five when you meet him, but it looks like his HP is 4-5 points higher, his strength 2 points higher, his skill and speed two points higher, his luck a point lower, and his defense and resistance comparable. This means at level fifteen, Joshua averages 5-6 more HP, 1-2 points higher in strength skill and speed, 1 point lower in def and resist, and 4 points lower in luck. Pushing that out to level twenty, HP tends towards 6 higher. strength skill and speed tend towards 1 higher, skill and speed usually max out anyway though, def is still about one lower, while resist tends towards two lower, and luck tends towards 5-6 lower. so at 20, they tend to have about the same number of points, but he has a lot more of them in HP which is, in my opinion, the least useful, while having two less points in the combined str/resist/def, which I think are generally the most useful. How useful Def and Resist, which Eirika wins in, are is debatable, given that they should be dodging most hits, but Eirika's high luck makes her better at dodging and hitting if skill and speed cap out, and at criticaling and avoiding criticals either way. While Joshua's str makes him do a single point more damage on each attack, and three more on criticals, Eirika takes one point less on normal physical attacks, and three points less on physical criticals, while taking two points less on magic attacks, and six points less on magical criticals, which quickly beats out Joshua's 6 more HP, especially when facing weak enemies. Joshua may do more damage per hit, but he'll be hitting and criting less, for a potentially lower overall damage output.
