When Crow had seen the plasma shot being fired off towards them, it had been after Brianne had shoved him out of the way. The shot had gone into her shoulder. He would need to take a look at that once they were back on the ship. Still seeing her arm go limp was concerning for the for the medic. With Commander Lightwood having dealt with the pirate who had fired at them, Crow carefully got back onto his feet. "I'm alright, I'm more worried about you commander." He said, following behind her.
Zephyr's search was providing little results due to a mixture of him not knowing what to be looking for what would be helpful as well as a lack things to notice. He didn't think much on when Vyle had mentioned that the water was polluted for he didn't see just what could be gained from that bit of information. When he was about to move on to a different place, he heard the voice of someone else. He turned to face the newcomer and saw that it was a woman on horseback. It appeared that she too was no the trail of Solomon. Just how many people people were after him. Behind the female newcomer Zephyr saw Teliana, but more so he saw that her hands were engulfed in flames. The sight of this had cause a wave of caution to wash over the mage. He wasn't sure what had prompted an action like that from her, but it couldn't have been good. His next action may not have been as noticeable as Teliana's, but with a slight adjustment of his posture, he took a few precautions of his own. Kruez didn't guess either, though he did have one based off the story that Solomon had told them. He looked at the coffin and the hellish symbols that had surrounded it. None of the symbols down there he recognized at all, which in a way could've been for the best. Not being able to move in his current situation sucked, even if it was more so just for the lack of comfort. he doubted that even if he was in a somewhat more comfortable position that he'd be wouldn't still be restrained in some way.
Creed watched as a portal was formed with ease by Hestia. The blackening veins on Brianne's skin showed that her change was still progressing. There was no way for him to know that what exactly this would do to her, but he could make some guesses. Still that wouldn't deter him. He had made up his mind and he was going to stick to it. After taking in a quick breath, Creed walked through the portal that Hestia had made. As Vo gave the explanation for the reasoning behind this trial, Valister did the one thing that he could do and listen quietly. Hearing all this lead to a better understanding of the reasoning behind these trials. Prior to hearing this he had just assumed that ti was to simply test them before helping them, which he wasn't exactly wrong about that. Valister took note of the domes walls cracking before responding to Vo's question. "I have an idea." Valister left it at that before acting on said idea. The cracks on the dome's wall had reached to where one of his arms were trapped. Prior it would've have been nearly impossible to break free, but now it was closer to actuality. Mustering all the strength that he could manage, he forced his arm through the rock and patted/smacked Vo on the back. If his idea was correct then this was at about half of what Gaia wanted them to do.
"Yeah, I was." Creed replied. His paraphrasing attempt had ended with confusion from Brianne and Corvo going out to check to see what he meant. Those weren't exactly then results that he thought he'd get, but thinking back to how vague that he was with his report, it was probably lucky that someone else had decided to go investigate after what he had told them. During this time Brianne had turned to give her weapon to Roxanne as Rhett had spoken. Her reaction to this had completely surprised him and caused him to take a step back. In the time it had taken Brianne to leap towards Rhett with what was likely the intent to harm, the lady that he'd seen outside had appeared and restrained Brianne from continuing with her lunge. The sight of this had cause the nephilim(?)'s words to resurface in his mind. "It seems you and I are going to have a similar battle of self acceptance soon." A picture of what she meant was further given clarity within his head, which lead to the next thing that he had said. "I'll go with you." With everyone attacking the werwolf with some sort of attack of their own choosing, it looked like they had managed to do some damage. Right as Sien got ready for another attack from the beast, it had turned out that they had managed to beat the werewolf. Following behind the others, Sien simply shook his head in a 'no' fashion to Alarick's questions. Maybe someone else knew. Gaia had appeared not to long after their arrival at the village and informed them of another trial. Just how many of these trials did she have for them to take? "I choose to stay here and rest." It may not have been the outcome that he was expecting, but it wasn't by any means a good thing. Being trapped in the earth dome with the earth manipulating fairy. Normally he wouldn't shrugged in response to Vo's criticism, but he wasn't exactly in the position to do so. "Never thought it was." The vampire replied with. He'd left a few moment pass before speaking again. "So what's the point of all this?" Valister figured that he might as well as while he was stuck here.
Crow had overheard what Commander Lightwood had Lieutenant Winters about splitting up their forces. If their home transport was under attack then he couldn't help but to wonder just the two back at the transport were doing. For the time being the only thing that he could do was to hope that things hadn't taken a turn for the worse while they were gone while he continued to follow behind Commander Lightwood.
The pain that went through his entire body was soon put to rest through the use of Steel's Ultra potion. It became much easier for him to stand on his feet and charge forward at the shadow blot to attack it. Which is what he would do if not for the Bloticle's that still needed to be dealt with. Kel attacked Bloticle 4 with Combo
They had been noticed a lot faster than he thought they would, but there wasn't much for them to do other than address the one who had spotted them. Not surprisingly Koldo was the one to do the talking to the soldier, coming up with a story that would hopefully be believed. At the end of Koldo's tale, Damion took a quick glance towards Lexander who had fallen on one knee as part of his act. If he was trying to imply that Lexander was injured prior to their 'run in with titans' then it would be a bit more believable. Least from where he stood. Titan's aren't known for easily letting go a catch once they have one and Lexander getting caught by one would pretty much be his demise. Silence had fallen between the two shortly after Gale had given his answer to Tessa. While the latter had chosen to look out the window his gaze lowered as he started to thinking about things. While he held nothing personal against rain or storms in general, some of the moods that usually accompanied them was usually left him with mixed feeling regarding the rain. Dreariness and sadness were some of the things that first came to mind in regards to rain and on the other hand there was a calming effect that the rain had that he did take notice of enjoy. If he had to pick some kind of middle ground in all this, it would likely be that he preferred light showers opposed to full blown downpours and storms. Gale's attention was drawn from both the table and his thoughts when Tessa had asked why he was here. Well it wasn't anything related to any plan that Adelina might have set up. The decision to spent breakfast with Tessa was one of his own making. "Well I wanted a chance to talk with you more. We didn't exactly get much time do to so while we were helping Veera." Gale answered.
When they had arrived at the village, the strong smell death was extremely gut wrenching. Up until now everything that he heard about Solomon had not only been fairly recent, but pretty much saying that he was a threat and not someone to be taken lightly. He may not have doubted doubted any of what he was told, but seeing the actual aftermath of his work was something completely different. After standing there, basically frozen stiff, he took in a deep breath. He'd agree to follow along with them so this was no time for him to be getting cold feet. They needed to find a clue of sorts and standing here wouldn't help with that at all. "I've understood that for quite some time now." Kruez muttered to himself. While Veera's plan to get the two of them to escape in exchange for herself had failed, Keenan's outburst had lead to Solomon choosing to him to be let go instead. What Kruez would've like would be the option to be removed from the un dead restraints, but that likely wouldn't happen anytime soon even if he asked. So he didn't. The mage had started talking about his backstory, to which he partially listened to. He wasn't all that interested his descent to madness. Xross wandered around, searching for something to do. Sweallow, fortunately, remained unconscious for the time being.
Another surprise dodge from Kel proved to save his hide when the bloticle unleash a massive attack. It had managed to bring down both Karina and Hikaru as well as summoning a bunch of smaller blots that had started to heal it. In other words, those smaller blots had made themselves prime targets. Kel attacked Bloticle 2
As the three talked around him regarding things things that didn't involve him, least before he would've that this didn't involve him nor should he know about it. Now he was treating this as something to keep in mind. Hestia and Yuri. Right now they were nothing more then names to him, however one of those names came with a title. Yuri was the vampire king and if he was needed for them to get Hestia for assistance against the Seelie Queen, then clearly they were people of power. How much power Creed didn't know, but clearly enough do that having them on their side would be a good thing. "I'll do it." Creed spoke at the suggestion of checking outside. It would be better than just standing around here. Instead of looking through the door, Creed opted to look through the window to check outside. Plants grown larger than normal and someone treating Clarity were the first things that he noticed. Seeing Clarity's injured body came as a shock to Creed which momentarily drew attention away from the fact that someone he didn't recognized was treating to whatever injuries that she had. . Last he saw her she was inside and looked to be in better health. His eyes scanned around slowly before seeing the next surprise, a flaming cat. So plants, a person healing Clarity and a flaming cat. Noted. His hand moved away from the curtain and he backed away from the window before turning to head back to where he'd left. Upon stopping in the area, he spoke up once more. "There's a bunch of overgrown plants, some lady treating Clarity and a flaming cat." Valister time to contemplate what to do was cut short by the oncoming pillar being sent towards him. A quick roll was all that was needed to get out of harms way. So far the one solution that Valister had in mind was to break through the dome of earth and get to the person inside. Beyond that will come when we get there. The vampire took a quick moment to get up on his feet, he dashed towards the dome and swung at it with his fist. Hopefully his vampire strength would aid his at least denting the dome. If not, then it would be completely likely that there would be a pillar of earth hitting him in the face in his future.
Amidst the firefight between them and the space pirates, Crow kept his head down. Sure he was trained to hit a target, but that wasn't in the heat of a firefight. In this situation something as simple as poking his head out to shoot at them could easily result in him being shot at and potentially killed. Even with how loud everything was around them, Crow was able to hear Commander Lightwood and with a quick nod of acknowledgment, he followed behind her.
While Sien had managed to avoid the initial swipe attack that was meant for him, there was nothing he could do about it's second attack. The teeth sunk into his arm causing a pained cry to sound out. After having been thrown aside after being bitten, he slowly started to make his way up. It hurt to just move his arm, which sucked given that in order to use his bow and arrow, he would have to move his arm to use it. On the bright side he still had his other arm and he only needed one to use his magic. Outstretching his hand, Sien fired off a concussion beam towards the werewolf.
And so, the shitty situation got worse as Reitain now had a choice to make. His wind wall may have stopped the lances from impaling him, but it didn't stop the demi god he was fighting from finding another way around. When he saw the lance pierce it's way through the wall of wind, Reitan briefly thought that avoiding it would be easy. Then out of the corner of his eyes he saw yet another weapon break through the wind towards him. A Zweihalder. This kinda hindered one of his plans of actions for unlike the wind wall, this plan wouldn't stop the two weapons from striking him unless he left his lance behind and that wasn't going to happen. With the two weapons quickly approaching him, Retain had to act. He slightly changed the angle of his lance as the end started to glow red. Imperial Lance First Stance - Amaterasu! The wind was blown apart by the resulting explosion that had blasted Retain out of harms way. Well harm from Kalak anyway. It may have been his own explosion, but it still caused damage to him shown by his now tattered clothing. Landing on his feet didn't help either for as more blood pour out the wound, further dampening his pant leg as well as bringing him down on one knee. At this rate he wouldn't be able to stand for much longer, let alone fight. Despite this there was still fight in him, so he forced himself back onto his feet with his lance held out in front of him oppose to using it as a crutch.
While no answer was given to his question, it soon didn't matter for Brianne and pushed her away off of him and turned to the nearby wall for support. She declared that she wasn't going to be going anywhere despite any risks to her health. Not exactly the answer that Creed was hoping for, but he knew that she could handle herself so perhaps it was for the best. Then someone else had arrived, Brianne had named the man Corvo. He wasn't sure just what to think of this guy and it wasn't because the first thing that he had done upon walking in was to give out orders. No, it was what Brianne had said that lead to this uncertainty on Corvo. Sien's confusion at what the werewolf had said turned into surprise and further confusion at the sight before them. He wasn't even given much time to process what was going on before the beast swiped at him. Getting hit would probably hurt like hell, thus he stepped back as quickly as he could to avoid the attack. Just what exactly were they supposed to do here? Seeing the fairy form the dome around her as well as start raising up pillars of earth around her. Seeing as how she went ahead and made a dome of earth to surround herself, Valister assumed that it was either for her protection or a requirement to use her magic that was calling all these pillars of earth. If the former was the case, then maybe they were supposed to get past it somehow and get to her.
While Vyle had pretty much given him a straight forward answer to his questions, Ana on the other hand had treated him as if he was her younger sibling by flicking his forehead and ruffling his hair. He didn't think it was going to be as simple as then finding him and 'saving the world', but he willing to believe. Besides, he actually liked the younger brother treatment that he had gotten from Ana. It helped to remind him of the better times that he'd spent with his sister opposed to the incident that frequently haunts his mind. The brief thought of said incident had cause it to attempt claw it's way into his mind, but Zephyr shook away the thoughts before they could settle. When the hooded figure was revealed to be Aaron, Kruez was surprised, but not to the same level that Keenan and Veera were. He'd only briefly seen him when he'd first arrived at Kaer Morhen and they didn't really say much besides introductions. Despite that he was still surprised that he had been killed at some point. Next up came the offer form Solomon and the counter offer from Veera. If it proved successful, then it would likely save both their lives at the cost of hers. "Well if you'd rather be publicly executed for that, then by all means go for it." Xross simply said. It wasn't much longer before the trio had gone in the quest to find a way out of the city, fortunately for them Xross had no interest in helping them beyond that point and simply headed the other way. Now the question was what was he going to do now. Seeing as his main source of entertainment for the time being had left on a quest of escape, he would have to find some other way of passing the time. Sweallow is unconscious, just felt like making that known.
She had a point, he certainly would be safer sticking with them oppose to staying here. Not saying that he didn't trust the two who he would be staying with if he was still to be staying behind. One of which was a pilot so she probably had as much combat experience as he did, maybe a bit more. Hell maybe even less. He didn't know for certain. Then there was the guy sleeping, that alone limited how helpful he could think he'd be in a firefight. As they left the ship, Crow did his best to look around for anything that stuck as something of potential harm to them. Though that became fruitless when the security team had been spotted by a spotlight. Following that they found themselves to be under fire. Following Commander Lightwoods instructions, he quickly moved right towards the low wall where she was, keeping his head down as he did.
It was clear that the demi god had wanted to put and end to their fight and as much as he hated to admit it, this was a good time to do so. He may have been still able to at least defend him, but that was really all he could do without further injuring his leg. Which had put him in a tight spot given the two shadow lances that had appeared in front and behind him. Since dodging was out of the question, there was one thing that he could do that would help him in this situation. Imperial Lance Third Stance - Susano-O! With his lance already being partially in the ground, it was easy calling forth a wall of wind around him to deflect to two shadow spears. Reitan knew that this wouldn't work for long, especially given that this wasn't the first time that he'd done this and unlike the last time he'd done this, he was in no shape to use this as a cover for another attack. This was quite the shitty situation that he's in. A shitty situation with a few ways that Reitan could think would get him out of it.
In what was likely a stroke of luck for them, Roxanne had appeared in their path. Creed had no idea just who the Seelie Queen was, but going off of the panic tone in her voice, it wasn't hard to tell that she wasn't someone that he wanted to encounter. Before he could take a step in the opposite direction, someone else had appeared out of nowhere in front of them. Once the surprised had passed, Creed recognized him as someone else who had been at the safe house prior to all this. He had said that it was hell outside, which served as another reason as to why they shouldn't go out the front. "Alright, I'll do what I can." Not only was the pretty much the only thing that he could do, but it was likely the best thing that he could do. "Is there a back entrance we can use?" He asked. Creed didn't know the layout to the institute at all, so he'd decided to ask before he headed that way. It had appeared that Gaia had decided to let them pass. Learning that information from the werewolf had let him with mix feelings. On the one hand he was glad to know that they had managed to pass, but on the other hand if Gaia hadn't decided to show mercy to them, what would have happened then? Well worrying about it wasn't going to get them anyway. Bottom line was that they had passed. Making their way back to the clearing, it had looked like everyone else had made it pass their trials as well. Masque was the only one who had appeared to be upset, but for completely different reasons that what he would think. Upon hearing that the second trial would be starting, Sien silently followed behind the werewolf. Hearing the vampire's warning him on the consequences on trying to harm others, Valister nodded. "You're Queen won't have to worry about that." The brekaing of Masque's mask was a surprise as was Masque's reaction to it being broken. The vampire knew very little on the man that he had been partnered up for the trial and from thsi he coudl assume that the mask that was seemingly broken meant a lot to him. The warlock was given the option to either stay behind or follow behind his assigned group. The choice was his and regardless of what he choose, Valister followed behind the fairy named Vo.
Once the ship had reached a complete stop, Crow had went along and checked his weapons as he was instructed. He may have been primarily a medic and lack any real combat experience, but he did have some basic knowledge on how to use a gun. Once everything was all set up and accounted for, Crow awaited for Commander Lightwood to give them the rest of their orders. That was when he had noticed an contradiction in the orders that he was given prior to arriving and the orders that he was now given. "Excuse me Commander, before we had taken off you told me to stay behind on the ship so I'm not at risk of being shot." He wasn't sure if she had simply changed her mind or made a minor mistake. Regardless of which, he had to ask to make sure just what exactly was he supposed to do.
Admittedly Zephyr felt at ease during the time Ana had the fog lit until they had reached the outskirts of the area. Normally Zephyr didn't mind the fog all that much, but to be honest right now he really didn't want to go anywhere near that place again. There weren't that many things that could make him be that tense in an area, least that he was aware of anyway. Vyle had noticed a trail for them to follow. At first Zephyr silently followed behind them, but as the silence went on he made his way towards Ana and asked. "So if we do end up finding Solomon, what's the plan?" In one short instance the silence was filled with the sounds of a piano and that was followed by a vast amount of the undead rising up from the ground beneath them. It wasn't long after that Keenan and himself were pinned down. The pungent smell of death was the primary thing that Kruez could smell for the time being. In their current situation there wasn't much that they could do. The figure holding the witcher swords had caught his attention as well, but he didn't say anything on it for Kennan had already asked the one thing that he could think of. "And who's the one who choose to intervene in the first place, shame playing the royal card didn't work like you thought it would. It's not my job to intervene in your flawed decisions." Xross retorted. There wasn't a single hint of instigation nor encouraging from Xross that lead to Talon's decision to intervene in what lead to him getting him shot and arrested. "I didn't think getting shot would affect you're memory." Xross sighed, now on to the girl who had just showed up. With the arrow of the girl was notched back and aimed at him Xross was about to say something, but it didn't appear that Xross needed to do much for Talon had tried to talk her into lowering it. Though seeing as how that has never stopped him before from saying something, he did so anyway. "Are they really innocent, can you say that for certain knowing nothing about them." Xross of course knew nothing about them either and for all he knew, they actually could've been perfectly innocent. "Though I suppose that depends on how you look at things." And with Xross's view on the world, no one was truly innocent. "But I digress, running away won't solve anything. Unless you take out the root of the issues, running away only delays the inevitable." The distract part of Sweallow's plan had worked to perfection. The bear had opted to ignore Terra and head straight for him. Now for the current issue at hand, dealing with the bear. It had already bit into shoulder. Pain surged through his arm as the feeling of blood sliding down his arm was felt. There wasn't much time to worry about that though for not only once the bear finished with her shoulder, it would likely move on to another limb of his and after being knocked to the group had left him in a brief daze and he barely had any strength to move.
