Well Zephyr wasn't used to seeing something like this either, but this was probably where the age gap played a part in this as well as experience. The latter more so in Zephyr's case. Moving on from that, if Roderick said that he was fine then he would believe him. Looking back at the riddle, Zephyr read it to himself one more time before trying to come up with an answer. What runs but never walks, often murmurs, never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never speaks. Despite sucking at riddles, this one actually sounded familiar to him and after thinking about it for a bit, he came up with something that sounded like it would fit. To him anyway. "Maybe it's a river."
Let the record show that I am interested in joining this
The punnet smell of blood hit Zephyr just as hard as the sight did and it was almost enough to make him gag. Fortunately he managed to hold back the urge to do so and instead took in a deep breath. Their target was a serial killer, so he needed to prepare himself for other sights such as this until they found and dealt with him. Shortly after having done so, he looked towards the riddle that Roderick has mentioned. The fact that it was a riddle that he was looking at caused him to mentally sigh. After reading it thought, he was relieved to see that this particular one wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be. "You can take a breather if you need to, I'll see what I can come up with." Zephyr told Roderick. Taking into account their differing ages he couldn't expect him to handle something the same way that he did.
Kel had been pretty out of it ever since arriving in the Realm of Darkness, his hesitation from back with the confrontation with Aux had brought back some unwanted memories. Said memories would have left him feeling noticeably irritated if he wasn't doing a good job of hiding it so no one would question him. That said it made him even quieter then normal (which is saying something) as Beuce tried his damest to strike up a conversation. I-spy wasn't a good idea with all the darkness, romance would've been the last thing on his mind even if he was in his usual mindset. It was a nice gesture though and did help to ease his mind off things. Kel gave Beuce a simple shrug to his response, his home world fortunately wasn't a broken planet, though thinking about it how did that work? That aside it did have a normal light and day cycle as well. Then he noticed it as well, the bright pillar of light clearly out of place compared to all of the other darkness that surrounded them. "No clue, but looks that way." Kel followed behind Beuce as he headed off towards the beacon. Hopefully whatever was waiting for them at the beacon would prove to be of assistance.
It certainly was a good thing that Roderick was able to figure it out, cause while he was making on his thought and slowly coming to the correct answer, Zephyr wasn't exactly having the same luck. Things like Anagram were not his specialty at all, nor were riddles or anything along those lines really. Maybe he should've read a book on how to solve these oppose to all those legends and heroes and such he read as a kid. "If that's what you think it is, then let's go for it." Having been brought out of his thinking process by his partners conclusion, he agreed to his suggestion. It was certainly better than the nothing that he had come up with.
Zephyr and Roderick shall hunt down Jack the Ripper
"I see, well we can see for ourselves after we picked out a mission." Zephyr said. He seemed up for going ahead and taking a mission , which was good in a way. It didn't leave Zephyr feeling like he was in a rush to go or something. "Let's see what missions are up then."
"Hmm, that could be an issue." Zephyr said. His understanding on how weapons worked so hearing that Roderick could only keep his weapon form for a limited amount of time was surprising. It wasn't the first time that something has potential cause a problem, but comparatively this was much less of a issue so he'd manage. That said he had to take into account his partner. "We'll be fine, if it comes down to it, I'll find a way to manage." Zephyr said encouraging.
Zephyr returned the friendly gesture. He was glad that he was a weapon that he was familiar with, that was good to know. That did away with any fears of having a weapon he knew nothing about or how to use. "Guess this is where we go find a mission to take." With a shrug of his shoulders, Zephyr released the handshake and looked towards the Mission Board. He didn't know what the missions were or which one that they should pick. Hopefully Roderick would have an idea on what to choose.
So this was to be the start of Zephyr's time here. Find his partner weapon and take a mission with them. Other than the obvious lack of details in his summary, it sounded pretty simple. Speaking of which, he should probably go ahead and find them. Right as he had found his partners name, Zephyr head someone calling his name. The person in question was probably his new partner, who else would it be? He made his way towards the voice and saw a brown haired kid. "Yo, were you the one calling my name?" When his first attack did nothing Kruez wasn't surprised, in fact he was preparing to increase the space between them when his lightning attack had struck it's target. The tendrils had vanished, followed by an insane laugh from Solomon. His grip briefly tightened on his weapon as the wall of undead appeared before the necromancer along with the tendrils. Getting in close wasn't the best of options given the circumstances, plus Kruez was better from afar anyway. To deal with the situation before him, Kruez decided to make a slight change to his current weaponry. Allowing magic to flow into his guns, the numbers on them changed. The one on the left changed to a 'I' and the right one turned to a 'III'. The 'III' engraved gun was aimed towards the the encroaching tendril and fired a spray of ice that would freeze them in place. The other one fired a roar of flames towards the undead meat (and that is used loosely) shield. His attack wasn't expected to rid of the issue right away, but with any luck it would provide an opening for him to use. In the interest of time and plot progession as well as Moksha being tired, Sweallow gave his name to the man who had asked.
This won't stop me from being a Ninja or Mage Knight. Not being eligible for Black Mage will stop me from being a Mage Knight.
Arriving at the castle to see Dreamer leaving with the Cornerstone of Light was not the first thing that Kel expected, nor hoped to see. The Cornerstone of Light was probably their last chance at having some fighting chance at driving back the heartless and yet it was being taken away before their eyes and there was nothing that they could do about it. To make matters worse, shortly after Dreamer cryptic message to them Aux showed up. On the one hand they were severely ill equipped for this fight, but on the other hand it could've been Nequa. Either way they would've been screwed but somehow it would've been more so for him in particular if Nequa was standing before them. The situation turned grimmer went Aux had openly challenged them despite their weakened states. In any other situation Kel would’ve been up for a chance to fight, but this wasn’t one of those moments as shown when Raisor stepped up first to fight and the first one to fall. Following Raisor everyone else who challenge Aux met the same fate. Glen, Beuce, Stratos, all of his comrades that he’d come to know through his journey vanished into vortex above them and what did Kel do about it? Nothing. Not a damn thing. While everyone else actually step forward to fight despite the situation and actually tried to do something and even then the one things that he actually attempted ended in failure. When Karina and attempted to walk past Aux and avoid fighting, Kel tried to reach out and stop her. If he had done so sooner then he might’ve succeeded, but instead he was a second too late as she too was sucked up into the void. Now Aux stood there, taunting the ones that remained. Clearly he was enjoying this. Having all this power over them, showing them how weak they were. Aux’s taunts had been the final straw. Kel was sick and tired of this, less so Aux - even though he was pissed at him - and more so himself. He was tired of him freezing up whenever he was rendered helpless. This wasn’t the first time that this had happened and just like back then, he did NOTHING. So no more, without wasting another second he lunged forward and struck Aux in his gut. The attack did nothing but amuse him as he returned the favor by doing the same thing to Kel. Difference was that his attack hurt like hell compared to Kel’s attack. Air, blood and spit came flying out of Kel as a result as well as him going airborne a bit. That was all that was needed for the vortex in the sky to start pulling him upward towards in. Still reeling from the attack the last thing that Kel was able to do was to look upwards the Aux and show him not a face of despair, but one that still held on to hope.
His plan had done it's job and grabbed the attention of the werewolves, problem was that of all of the werewolves attention that he could've gotten, he had managed to attracted Graysons. Well shit. Now there was a freaking alpha about to tear into him, why does it seem like werewolves have it out for him. His first thought would be to use his new bow, but if something were to happen that would cause him to move, he would be screwed. Instead he set off another two orbs of light towards him. The first one was more of a solidified beam with the hopes of slowing him down enough for his second shot to deal it's damage. The second shot splitting off into multiple fragments, all aimed at Grayson. While doing all this, Sien made sure to move out of the intended path of the werewolf. Regardless of whether it worked or not, he wanted to keep as muhc distance between them as possible.
The match up had been set. While Veera was to deal with the undead Aaron, Kruez was to deal with the necromancer himself. Whether this was to be good fortune or not he wasn't sure, but it was the hand he was dealt and there was no other options but to play it. In an instant after Solomon had made the first move Kruez reacted by taking a quick step back to increase the distance between them as well as calling forth of his personal weapon of choice. The gun engraved with a '0' in his left hand was used to take out the approaching tendrils before they could become more of an issue. The other other weapon was a similar looking gun, the primary difference being the 'IV' engraving on it. This one was aimed directed at Solomon and once the trigger was pulled, a blast of lightning was launched towards the necromancer.
Wasn't aware I was in a bromance
