Kuro gave the man a simple shrug in response. To be perfectly honest he was just doing this to kill time, least this was the way that it was looking like it would go at this rate. He wouldn't have to for much longer cause he could that Blake had made some progress and as currently following their second target. Hopefully someplace a little more private. If that was the case then he should regroup with them so that they could actually reap her. "I would beg to differ, but it seems like I have some other matters to handle. I'll catch ya later assuming you're still here." With that Kuro gave a quick wave before heading off in the direction that he saw Blake go. So far so good, they just needed to keep this up and they would have their success.
A very excited voice caught Kel's attention shortly after he had asked his own question. Upon seeing the excitable little girl, it took him a moment to realize who it was, mainly because last time he saw her she was an animal (You're senpai has noticed you Xara, rejoice). It was quite surprising to see someone from Nottingham given the amount of people that he met in that world compared to the ones that actually help. Wasn't as much as Deep Jungle, but still a fair amount. Following that realization Kel headed over towards the duo. "You were in the realm of darkness all this time, no wonder you were so excited to see the sun." Even in the presumed short amount of time he spent there he got sick and tired of all the darkness, so in her case finally seeing the sun must've been a gift from the heavens. This "conversation" was cut short by Yue answering his question from earlier while another person, Shades, walked up to them. Hearing that Yue was once an Harrier Class reaper was concerning by name just to begin with. Adding in the fact that it was apparently the most rigorous and cruel classes was a different layer. Interesting, especially given that he had no idea how reapers within this game worked and it looked like he wouldn't be given the chance to do so. Those questions were put on hold as he caught the pin that Yue threw at them. The skull pin that now rested in his hand was still a cool looking one, especially now that he could examine it as closely as he wanted to. His attention was grabbed once more when he heard the name of who he would be partnered with. "Okay then." Now he couldn't recall having very many interactions with Kaida (hence his bland response), if any for that matter, so this would be a first if the latter was true. On that note however, walked up to her and said. "Alright partner, you wanna take the RG or the UG?" Least he could do was to actually be the one to initiate the conversation between the two.

For the duration of Aeradel's synopsis of what she knew, Veilen pushed his confusion regarding the bird brother to the back of his mind and focused in on what she had told them. Listening carefully to what it was that she was telling them, he briefly thought about it and it did make some sense. He may have opted to lay low for the most part following the loss of magic, but he did hear a lot of rumors and keep what he heard from said rumors memorized. Fortunately some of the rumors had mentioned something about those towers, but nothing muhc in comparison to what Aeradel had just told them. "How do you suppose we get close to them, wouldn't there be demons surrounding them?" Veilen asked, his eyes glancing towards Rayen and the bird/brother that she held. Okay he was real confused and curious about how that worked and while this probably wasn't the best time to ask, Veilen wasn't sure just what would the best time to ask be. "One more, unrelated, question. How exactly is your brother a bird?"
Once more the glitch had happened and an opening had formed again. The path to actually hitting Ria was made and taken advantage of by Marley. Surprisingly the attack hitting had lead to a lot less heartless forming up and in turn making things easier for them in the long run. That said there was still quite a amount of shadows for them to deal with and Chrono was running low on rocks to hit them with due to the 'two rocks per shadow'. Just as he threw his last rock towards the shadow and fortunately made short work of it, something else stuck out to him. It wasn't more rocks, but instead it was a a piece of driftwood that was just lying off to the side. Now he could fight at close range and that piece of wood would be the closest that he'd get to using his keyblade. Heck with any luck this could help remind him on how to use his keyblade! With that realization, Chrono went over and grab said piece of wood and proceeded to wacking heartless with it. The timing couldn't have been any better for a group of three shadows had stepped up to face him. Their faces didn't have any expressions on them so Chrono couldn't tell just why it was that they had decided to single him out as oppose to attacking any of the others. Well except Cerdic who was still, presumably, still dealing with the horde in which he was currently stuck in. Thinking about it, it was probably because he was by himself in compared to where the others were. So that's what their game was, pick on him because he was alone and because of his lack of a keyblade. Okay, the latter was debatable, but the former was likely. In that case they shall be sorely mistaken as he brought down the the power of the driftwood upon them. The first shadow had leap forward in an attempt to harm Chrono and it was soon batted away from him and disappeared into dust. Shortly after this the other two shadows had chose to do the same, though they went with attacking him at the same time as opposed to one after another. In theory this made sense, but the end result would still be the same. The piece of driftwood was held upward and then brought down onto the two shadows and took down the both of them with it's size. Before setting off to take the Mark of Mastery, they were given a couple of gifts from Dreamer. One of which he felt like he wouldn't be able to use for quite some time, but when he could it would be nice to have. The other would be helpful for certain situations much like other spells that he had at his disposable. Dreamer had also given something to Yue in the form of three mice. It was an odd gift, but Yue made it clear that she would be returning them soon after they had finished up with their task. A bright flash of light had occurred after Yue pulled out a card of sorts and they were standing in an entirely different place. Kel was glad to be finally out of the realm of darkness, but he had no idea where they were. The surrounding compared to the other worlds that he's been too were much more modern even compared to his own home Solucia it was completely different. "This is quite the change of scenery. Still was coming here the start of the 'Reaper's Game' or is there something else?"
The answer that Allec had been given was a valid one. So long as whatever potential life there wasn't set on attacking them or refuses to hear them out, they should be able to resolve thing peacefully. The risk of that not being the case was still even present, but not one that they could make preparations with the current information at their disposal. Regardless it was a bridge that they would have to cross and thus they would deal with that risk when the time came to actually cross said bridge. When they were dismissed Allec had opted to go for a short walk before probably heading back to his quarters. As it stood right now there wasn't much that he could think to do and they wouldn't be setting off for another twenty four hours. He would likely have to come up with something to eat later, but that was something he could ponder during his walk if not in his quarters.
The shadows had once again geared up for another attack on their part. With rocks being his weapon of choice this time around they wouldn't help much in blocking the oncoming claw attacks. Seconds passed after Chrono had braced himself for the attack and nothing had happened. Instead two things had occurred. The first was that an opening in the heartless surrounding Ria had opened up and Chrono quickly took the chance to chuck a rock in their direction. Unfortunately the barrier heartless had reformed and blocked the rock that he had thrown. Well crud, if only he had thrown the rock faster. Or maybe sooner, but that would require him to be predict when the opening would happen again. As for the other thing that had happened, well Cerdic was carried off by horde. Chrono knew this because while he certainly had the worse memory out of the others, he did remember him standing within his field of view and there was a clear 'eek' sound right when the horde had appeared. "So, how do we get him out?" Someone had to ask and well, the guy who was still without a keyblade was as good of a person to ask. Not that he could actually do anything to get him out by himself. Scooping up another armful of rock, Chrono resumed throwing them at the various shadows that were around them. The trend of taking two hits to fully defeat them continued as he had already gone through six of the rocks that he picked up just to beat 3 shadows. There had to be a way that was easier that just throwing rocks at the shadows and something that he could actually use himself. The latter was really the most important part to that. Given their current location his options of improvised weaponry was limited to his bare fist and the rocks that were around them. The former he wasn't going to do given how much that it hurt being attack and charging in could end badly for him and he's still throwing rocks at the heartless, now at eight rocks used to beat four heartless, and that wasn't going to change at this rate. Now the next thing that Chrono saw was an odd sight to say the least. It looked like Daeni had stepped into the horde of heartless that Cerdic was currently trapped in and tried to do...something. All those heartless that were surrounding her and probably carrying her away along with Cerdic made it difficult to see whatever it was she was doing. "I see your point." Zephyr said with a quick chuckle of his own. Least now he knew why she was wearing the blindfold. Admittedly Zoey being blind wasn't the first thing that he thought of as a reason, but still it did make sense now that he knew. Having heard her question, Zephyr took a brief moment to think of his answer before speaking. "Yeah, it was the main weapon my teacher taught me to use. I say that, but i was more so she taught me the basic and anything fancy or unique I had to teach myself." His teacher did have a very unorthodox way of teaching him, but it did work out well given what he was capable of doing for the most part.
A lot had occured shortly after Veilen had spoken and during the time in which all of it was taking place, he stood there trying to process all of it. The very very short man that had started speaking to him was the first thing to caught him off guard, both because of his size and the fact that he had assumed that he was the leader. While this was the first time that he's seen her in person, the name Blackburn was familiar to him, so he gave her and her two sibling a quick no-wait a minute. One of her siblings was a bird. His eyes blinked a few times to make sure he wasn't just seeing things. Nope, she had indeed refer to a bird as one of her siblings. "O-okay. I'm Veilen, Veilen Celestia." Having introduced himself, Veilen's eyes spotted the bird flying towards the other table that he was standing next too. Then he saw said bird eat the little man. Said attempt had ended in failure and the man followed by introducing himself. Not at all the name he was an expecting from a man, like it didn't fit at all. This certainly wasn't at all what he was expecting the first thing he'd fine upon arriving here.
Can't say he was surprised by the response that Karina had given him. For better or for worse, usually the latter, her stubbornness was what defined her as Karina. "I figured as much. Well take care of yourself then." Karina had already gone off to return Kaida's cloak to her by the time he said his own goodbye. Kel then made his way back over towards the others who had decided that they were going with Yue to take the mark of mastery.
I'll join if you still need some people
After his first lucky display of combat that had taken care of four heartless, Chrono had made his way back towards the others. A lucky hit was a lucky hit, but he wasn't crazy enough to just charge in there with only his fists as a weapon. Maybe if he had a stick or something, then he just might actually do that.Though seeing as that wasn't the case right now, doing so was out of the question right now. A quick step to turn himself around revealed the shadow that was already mid leap in attacking him, practically leaving him with no time to mount a counter of his own. Chrono quickly held up his arms and braced for the attack that was soon to come, but instead of feeling something scratch against his forearms and possibly injure him, instead there was a cool breeze that had blown past him. Odd, but seeing as how it was Chloe looking in his direction he assumed it was her that had helped him and gave her a thumbs up. The shadows mounted a counter attack of their own and charged towards them. Something had happened during said charge and the heartless started to rain down upon some of them, himself being one of the unlucky few that were rained down upon. The various clawing and scratch that was delivered to him certainly hurt, not enough to bring Chrono down. Despite the trembling in his legs he didn't go down at all and stayed on his feet. After those hits Chrono was now opting to not run forward and attacking them with his bare fist and instead saw another way of attacking right at his feet. Rocks and slightly above average size at that. He bent over a scooped up a handful of said rocks and started throwing them towards the heartless. Them being very fragile was very helpful here seeing as it only took one or two rocks to actually get rid of them fully. No matter, there were plenty of rocks around for him to throw at the shadows and at Ria when the time finally came. Though he would have to be careful to not hit anyone in the back of the head with said rocks, well except Cerdic. That would probably be okay to hit him in the back of the head with a rock or two. Oh hey, during this monologue 4 heartless were defeated through the power of rocks. Neat. Total Words: 413 BP Spent: 20 Heartless Killed: 4 Heartless Remaining: 252
Kuro mentally sighed at the response he was given. He may have gotten a better response than the girl who had tried speaking with him, things had gone a completely different route than what he had intended. "Funny, but I don't swing that way." The response was a quick one before progressing on to his next question. "Then what would be a good excuse to talk to you?" At this point Kuro just wanted to keep him talking so that his partner would have better success.
"Oh and here I was thinking that I've found a kindred spirit to talk to."Kuro said in an very sarcastic tone of his own. Of course he knew that he wanted to be alone, but he didn't really care. He just needed to get his attention long enough to get him away from this crowd to put an end to his life.Still he couldn't rush things, he needed to take his time and not screw up with an already difficult target. "I too was drag here by a friend of mind. She said something about making a purchase or something. I wasn't really listening." The bait had been cast and just like Noctis waiting to actually catch a bite, Kuro waited to see if he would take the bait or at least show some form of interest.
So, can you speak to Bahamut for me?
Not much, just school related stress
