Because to some people, video game characters who have impacted their life in some positive way are more important then random people they don't know let alone care about. And once again most people are just saying it would be pretty cool if these people stopped, we're not gonna go to their house and force them to not dress up as Rider.

If he does whatever he wants then at that point he has no right to ***** about people acting a certain way to him when he has given nobody a reason to act any other way. Also "don't look at him" is a stupid suggestion as sight is a sense and telling someone not to look at something that isn't being obstructed is awkward and puts unnecessary strain on the body. I never said ANYTHING was wrong with being selfish, but just don't act selfish and then tell people to accept your selfishness let alone expect them to accept it because for the most part that kinda **** pisses people off. They're to do and act any way they want just as we are.
