On his way to the docks Lumen didn't fully know what to expects beyond some sort of monster. People would have the same reaction to a monster of any caliber that had appeared before them, so the lack of them shouting what it actually was wasn't helpful at all. The actually arrival did help to give an idea of what it was he would be faced up against and that was because of the giant the sea that had just risen from the sea when he had arrived. His medallion was vibrating like crazy which wasn't all necessary cause he could still see it. A variety of thought s had gone through his head, the prominent of which was to how he was supposed to handle this situation, the second was that the girl by the fire was the one he saw back at the tavern. Perhaps she would be able to shed some light on all this. "Mind cluing me in as to what's going on?" Was what he asked upon approaching her.
The sight of the cyclist being derezzed before them was more than enough to affirm the risks of partaking, but if they wanted to get the access code they needed to get to Sark and to do they, winning in the arena was the quick and only way for them to do so. It was concerning with the fact that the only vehicle that he's had experience with was his glider and that functioned fairly different compared to the cycles. Geez they hadn’t even been here all that long and their lives were already at risk. This new GM really wasn't holding anything back on them. “If my partner's up for it, then so am I.” Not that he would've been opposed it anyway.

It being a police offer that was asking about this didn't change his point, well it didn't change it by much. Now with this information Zephyr was now curious about the reasons that the officer was here and asking about that kind of thing. As curious as he was, which admittedly wasn't all that much, asking about it would be asking about personal matters. "What do you think we should do?" The final say all this did was better decided by Dylan, least the way he saw it.
And I counter nominate the turtle @KHGrl15
As he thought Dylan would be the one to go open the door and Zephyr briefly caught a glimpse of who it was at the door right as his attention was drawn towards something much more puzzling. At first Zephyr thought nothing about Kara walking towards him and at the time why should he? He figured he just happened to be in the way of the general direction she was going. Her playing with his hair however very quickly broke mold that he wore on his observative face. The blush on his face was a clear indication of that, but it was added by the fact that his body went as stiff as a board. Even if he wasn’t inept at speaking with people, this was not a case where that matter cause it would not help with his lack of skills when it came to women. This was only short lasted for him due to Kara’s request. “R-right.” Now he could work on regaining his composure as he walked up to the door. He stood next to Dylan right as he heard what the guy wanted. “Usually random people don’t come up and ask about those kinds of things and even then it’s still pretty personal.”
First off Chrono wasn't sure just how to feel upon hearing that Alder was still withholding information regarding what the extractor could do. Especially with the grief that he was given before all this. Not that Ria took him up on that offer anyway. Still it irritated him. A lot of things did right now and being trapped in this circle wasn't making any of this better. Seeing Relli suffer the same fate as Xen and Chole, the sight and feeling behind the two were slowly starting to become familiar to him. He sat there as things progressed around him, Mora mentioning five crystals that would get them out of this circle and Cerdic and Daeni going off to break said crystals. "Where did those crystals come from?"
A newcomer had been the new voice that he had heard upon his return. Having another person around would be helpful at times given how few of them that they currently had. There was nothing much for him to not about her at first glance, outside of her attire. Compared to what it was that he currently wore it was a step above for sure. Initial impressions were good so far, she hadn't done anything that gave him any negative vibes or anything to those nature. "The more the merrier I suppose." Was the best that he could come up with in when it came down to a greeting of sorts, though what he said probably didn't even count as a greeting. By his standards it was close enough and that was the important fact. Perhaps he would come up with something else to say while she was conversing with Kara. Elsewhere there had been a knock on the door. Was someone else going to apply or was there something needed of them? Zephyr would find out when someone, probably Dylan, opened the door.
Looking int he direction of the two that Aislinn had mentioned and found that it was Stratos and Hikaru who had gone through that portal. Every other portal had at least two teams had into to in, especially the one that he initially suggested going through. Beuce was dragged in by his partner before the next pair went in. Come to think of it, the last time he's been to a world and was actually able to interact with Hikaru was all the way back in Deep Jungle so it could be cool being able to talk to him again. "Fine by me, let's give them all the help we can." Out of all the places that Kel has been to, this one took the cake in looking the most unique compared to them all. Everything around them was lit up in some way or form, including their attire. "Certainly a set up from Nottingham." Definitely beats being a fox. Kel followed his partner through the stands of illuminated people as she approached Hikaru, Stratos and the one they appeared to be talking to. "Hey guys." Was what he said towards Hikaru and Stratos, then looked towards the other guy and waved followed Aislinn's gesture to him.
It would appear that the answer that he had wasn't quite what Kara was hoping for, which confused him at first given that he had been honest. The mentioning of a sense of humor had done more than enough to tip him off as to what he had missed. Zephyr wasn't quite emotionless or 'lacked the ability to react', but what he was however was out of touch when it came to interacting with people. It was a problem that he was aware of and wanted to remedy at some point, but that would be no easy task. That didn't make him oblivious to things he could physically see, hence his muttering of the word "impressive" as Kara walked off and leaving him to his books. Oddly enough reading didn't seem all that appealing anymore.
Lumen once more nodded at Vecelav's words before finishing his drink, words that were conveniently timed due to the sudden noise that he as well had heard. The older witcher had already gone off to investigate whatever it was that had before he could response to the words of luck he had been given. A small amount of time had passed before Lumen had headed out as well, filled with curiosity as to what was going on and if this was what the Path had in store for him. The noise and subsequent panic outside was much more evident once he had stepped foot outside of the tavern. People were running away from the same direction, some in fact shouting something about a monster. Things had started to become clearer after hearing that, but the picture wasn't complete quite yet. For that he would have to venture there to see this for himself. Lumen took in a quick breath of the cold air before heading to where the people were running from.
Zephyr had just gotten to put his book back on his shelf when someone had started speaking to him. The voice belonging to Kara and to her telling him to not go snooping around through the groceries on the table, he simply nodded and responded with a "Noted". His eyes scanned his bookshelf for anything that he either hasn't read before or felt like reading again. He did this for a few moments before deciding that it was better if he paid attention to Kara while they were speaking. "I heard you the first time and yes, they pretty much are magic and swordfights." There was also the occasional legend thrown in there to spice things up but overall most of his selection consisted of those two aforementioned things. He had already turned to face her before giving his answer. "Anything else you'd like to know?"
Zephyr didn't really have any reason behind his decision to reveal his name other than he figured that it would be the polite thing to do in this situation. This was coming from the guy who had not only been shunned growing up, but on any other day would've kept on walking back to his destination. To say that he was out of practice with this sort of things would be an understatement. Despite this he had managed to get a name in response, Rigel. He made sure to make a note of said name as he shrugged. "Seemed like the polite thing to do." Once again, he was out of practice. In fact after that very impromptu introduction of his, he had no idea just what to say next to him. In fact his leaving was probably one of the better things that could've happened. Once he had sufficiently gone off, Zephyr sighed and headed back on his way towards Haytham's Investigations. This time he didn't any stops along the way until he was at the steps of Haytham's Investigations, in which case the only stop was to open the door and walk inside. First he saw the groceries on the table. A pleasant sight, one that he had no need to dig through right now. Then came the voices. One he identified as Dylan, the other on the other hand he had no clue as to who it could be. Perhaps it was someone with a job for them or just someone he did know. The latter was probably true regardless of how he looked at it. Zephyr then headed back to the room that he had claimed as his own so hat he could put his book back and perhaps find another one to read.
Zephyr had hoped that the answer to his would be something a bit more...elaborate than what he was given. Admittedly it was probably all the stories he'd read getting the better of him slightly, after all it wasn't like he'd asked if it was a magically enchanted or anything like that. Now that would be a severe case of his stories getting to his head. Nevertheless the answer he was given was a simple one and was followed up by a question. "No, but there are some rare cases." It wasn't quite a lie, he rarely went of his way to interact with random people he saw on the streets. Seeing as he was the one who started the conversation, he might as well have be the one to introduce himself first. "Zephyr. That's my name, figured I might as well tell you."
All was quiet for Zephyr as he focused all of his attention into reading the book that was situated before him. A common trend of his was to find someplace quiet remotely quiet to sit down and read, today spot of choice being a bench. Other than the sounds of your average bystander walking by, which he was used to toning them out. Having about one last chapter to read, he figured that he would head back to Haythams Investigations afterward. A chapter later and Zephyr closed his book and pocketed it. Another book finished meant that he had to find another one to read to keep himself occupied whenever it was that he had down time. It would be helpful for him to form an idea on what he wanted before looking for one, but he could do all that another time. What he needed to do now was to head back. On his way back he happened to walk past a church right as someone else had exited, the person themselves didn't interest him however the sword that they carried on his person did. Weapons, namely swords were something that he had always held a fondness towards. He then approached the man to ask a simple question. "What kind of sword is that?"
Upon seeing everything transpire between Ria and Mora, only one thing came to mind that he could say to her. "Look I don't care what you think about me, but I told you so." Was this the time to be saying that, no. Didn't change how he felt about the whole thing. She had started choking shortly after he had said that which made the timing even worse. The feeling of helplessness washed over him once more upon Marley's body disappeared. This time the feeling weigh heavier upon him due to the memories he had remembered. Chrono has no idea just what Cerdic was planning but he really did hope that the journal actually wasn't hidden off somewhere. It was something that he was still wanted read given that it was the first thing he remembered prior to all this.
And with Master Choma setting off they were left to their own devices. Shortly after Torrin had thrown in his own two cents by telling them to strengthen their bonds with each other. Doing so would make sense, but just how would they go about it. This did not seem like the ideal situation to just suddenly start chatting each other up. Illiana had been the only one to start walking in the direction they were supposed to go and hearing the violin being played, it was clear that Tinarah hadn't gone anywhere yet. He knew not to bother her while he was playing and he wasn't going leave without her, thus he opted to wait until she was done playing before speaking with her again.
At first what Battousai had said was sounding like a decent strategy, one you likely hear in a storybook of some kind of things you'd hear in a fantasy tale of sorts and quickly went downhill at the mentioning of getting drunk. The only way that Veilen could see that working would be if one any of them could somehow fight better while drunk as oppose to while they were sober. A possibility, but did not sound like it was worth the risk. Rayen's fears were understandable, this was a time in which one could loss a loved one in the blink of an eye. "Your sister and your pe-er brother feel the same. It's why were doing all this."
As he was told the tale form the witcher, Lumen did the polite thing and sit quiet while listening to everything that was told to him. What he was told shouldn't have been too much of a surprise when compared to what he had planned to do in general. in fact the hadn't really given it much that as to what he would do upon leaving Novigrad. "That's quite a lot that you have on your plate, certainly more than me. I'm still uncertain as to what I might be doing once I leave." Admittedly he hadn't given it much thought, something that taking into account his primary reason for being here was the rumors he's heard, made sense.
His curiosity as to why the woman was there was answered at the end of her explanation when her identity was revealed. Lazuli never would've guess that there was actually some truth to all the stories he's heard regarding them. It was fascinating to say the least, but there was that small hint of concern as to what this might entail. The sounds of footsteps behind him along with some additional voices indicated that others had recently managed to find their way here, and without the assistance of Qrow he might add. "Just how many more students are you expecting to arrive?" Unrelated to the reveal that had just happened, but something hew as wondering all the same.
