Chrono felt a chill, a chill that had momentarily distracted him from the growing desire to hit to Dentro. He hadn't even known the guy all that long and he was already really starting to get to him. As for the chill he had felt, it was a fleeting feeling and in the time he had experienced it, he was only able to wonder why he'd felt that. Maybe I'm just overthinking thing. When they had gotten to the city the situation that awaited them matched the reactions that Milo and Princess Kida had before. The sight of the injured guards and fleeing civilians prompted Chrono to speed up while still staying behind Dentro. There was no way to know just how far away from the rest of the outsiders they were and he hoped they were close enough to prevent any other damage from being done. Upon passing Glyde and Illiana, Chrono briefly slowed his pace. Long enough for them to see him as well as his motioning for them to follow him before speaking back up once again.
There were two things that Lea had told them that had caught the most of Vallus's attention. The first being that whoever this Nequa person was, in some form, a former teammate of his. Depending on how well they knew each when they teammates they could get some information regarding how to deal with her. Assuming she wasn't possessed. If she was, then that little detail could very well not be of any help at so all. Next was when he cut himself off. The natural wonder on what he was saying afterwards intrigued him. When he choose to speak however, that wasn't what he questioned Lea about. "Do you know for certain whether or not she's possessed or doing all this of her own will?"
The longer that Chrono listened to Dentro speak, the less he knew how to feel about him. He did have a point with what he was telling him, it was the way that he was saying it that irked Chrono. While he may have had no idea what Dentro meant when he mentioned and 'energy source', both Milo and Princess Kida certainly did and were not happy to hear that at all. The brief summary that Milo had given him was plenty to pass on the severity of the situation to Chrono, plus with how everyone was looking at him expectantly. His hands were pretty much tied, leaving him with only one real option to do. "Alright, I'll see if there's anything I can do to stop them." He then turned towards Dentro. "If you saw them earlier, then you can lead us to them." In actuality he probably could've found his way there using the directions that he was given, but until he felt a little bit more certain about Dentro, Chrono wanted to keep an eye on him.
Following the events at the docks, Lumen took it upon himself to at least start walking around to get better familiar with the area. That way if there was any shortcuts that he could find or come up with, he could use any of them to traverse around at a much quicker rate than before. It was during his walk that he noticed a couple of people form the docks still grouped together. His pace slowed down upon noticing the group of guards that had confronted them. It was impossible to make out what they were saying from where he was standing, but he got feeling that it wasn't good.
"I'm sure that they're fine." Kel said. With all that they've been been through, he didn't doubt the capabilities of this teammates. Most of them anyway, despite there only being one that fit into that category. It did still suck that there wasn't anything that they could do to help from their end though. Waiting and hoping for the best was about all that he could come up with.
Well someone was clearly bothered by the rather justified question that the students had, that being said the next person who had spoken up had given them a sort of better explanation to what they had been put through regarding fighting Agni. Lazuli kept what she had said in mind cause going from being knocked out in one blow to being able to take out eight students in a single blow was a pretty significant leap in strength. Following all that things had started to calm down among the students Lazuli took this as a chance to briefly look around until his attention stopped on the quiet girl that was a part of his team. He recalled that he was going to make an attempt to speak with her before they were put against Agni. She may have been 'speaking' with their leader by the looks of it, didn't mean that he couldn't just join in on their conversation. When he headed towards them, that was exactly what he planned on doing when he said. "Hello there teammate and leader, I figured some conversing might do us some good."
Once inside the building, Chrono thought that they would be able to get some form of a breather. A fleeting idea that was quickly swept away when Chrono heard the additional voice outside. It belonged to the last person that he wanted to deal with right now. The frustration that still lingered was shown with the clenching of his fist and yet Chrono endured this frustration. Soon enough he would have his payback. Having made that decision Chrono ignored the rest of what Ria said and put most of his attention towards watching Mora open up a trap door before them. He briefly wondered just how many trapdoors there were here, but that wasn't what was important right now. Whatever it was that was down there and how he could find out something new. Anything that was down there, he would be sure he was the first one to read it. Didn't help that Cerdic was the first one to head down, prompting Chrono to follow shortly behind him.
The idea of meeting the other outsiders did sound appealing, but Chrono didn't think it was a good idea for him to up and follow them without at least letting the others know where he was, more so to avoid Tinarah worrying about his well being. Going by himself wasn't much of an issue, even if he'd be the only one with a way to effectively deal with the heartless. That was all put on hold when someone else had strode up to them. Princess Kida had already asked the first thing that he was going to, so Chrono instead listened to what he had to say first. He didn't like the way that this guy, Dentro, smirked at them. "If you saw signs of a fight starting up, why didn't you try to intervene?" Dentro already made it known that he had a keyblade of his own, so trying to stop a fight shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Chrono shall take the Defender ability with an HP and AP boost
It was only a short break that he was given when a barrage of questions was thrown his way. Chrono did nothing to stop the man known as Milo from shaking his hand. "I'm part of a different group." Was the easiest of ways of explaining it. Still now able to get a closer look at him, Chrono doubted that he brought the heartless here. At least intentionally anyway. Chrono turned to look towards Princess Kida as she approached him as well. For demonstration purposes, Chrono held up his keyblade for them to see clearly. "Not sure if this counts as technology, but this here is a keyblade." Briefly turning his hand over to give them a full look at the details his keyblade had, he continued speaking. "Its the best weapon to use against the creatures you saw me fight, we call them heartless." His keyblade soon vanished from his hands which allowed him to briefly rub his hands together. "You said expedition team before, where are the rest of them?"
Seeing Sark's hand approach him while he was still falling from the air as a result of his last attack, Kel braced himself for the impact. The impact never came as a bright pillar of light shot past him and directly into Sark. Now he had plenty of time to land on the ground to some form of safety. Sark was finally defeated when Tron himself shot a a stream of energy that resulted in Sark's own derezzing. Aislinn's pat on the back was returned with a thumbs up from Kel. "Us three in particular, quite a while. Though it varies person to person." For example out of all of them, he's fought alongside Hikaru the longest and strictly within this world, Stratos the second longest.
There was a brief sense of accomplishment as the flame clone had vanished before them, which didn't change the grand scheme of this situation nor the lack of confidence that Lazuli had regarding this whole situation. The few moments after the clone had vanished past and the next attack from Agni was sent their way. The large wave of flames took them all down with ease. Everything had started to go black and the last thing that Lauzli thought was Why didn't she start off with that attack. When he next woke up, he was in the process of being helped to his feet by Qrow and being moved a helipad. A little late, but better late than never.
Unfortunately after hearing about some sort of escape tunnels, there was nothing else that Zephyr heard that he could consider useful to his objective. Just useless chatter about practically everything but anything that could be considered helpful. It was a bummer and yet, part of him wasn't surprised by that. People tended to that in these kind of situations. Before further getting lost in his thoughts, Dylan had approached him. "Only thing I managed to overhear was a royal guard mentioning a escape tunnel."
Aeira wasn't the only one who was getting annoyed with the way that Tango was speaking to them. The lofty way he spoke was really getting to him as evident by his grip on his weapon tightened. By this point he had gone from hiding behind the pillar to just standing next to it in plain sight. The threat was still around, but by this point it didn't seem like anything would happen. This assumption of his was further reinforced when someone else had arrived to the scene from out of nowhere. The shear contrast between the two of them was almost exhausting to watch. The spectacle that was 'Lima' didn't last for much longer as she vanished with Tango. When the dust had settled after the sudden disappearance, Lea had spoken about what they should do next. "What do you plan on having us do when we get back? Cause if we do have competition, sitting around waiting isn't a good plan."
The combination of failed dodging attempts and being slashed by the heartless's trident had left Chrono in the beginning stages of exhaustion. Despite being able to stand on his feet and hold up his keyblade, his breathing was starting to become much more labored. This was the last heartless left and muhc like its former comrade, dealing with it would be easy. Using as much strength that he could muster, Chrono moved forward towards the heartless as quickly as he could and struck at it with a downward slash. His blow succeeded in cleaving the heartless in two. "Finally, that's done." No sooner had he said that he fell down onto his rear in order to his his legs a break for the time being.
The sudden sight of the heartless floating in the air had caught him off guard and prevented him from making one last attack on the darkside. This didn't change much as Chrys had dashed off to deal the final blow to the Darkside. With everything that he's had to sit through recently, the fact that the Chrys was still alive was very much a well needed relief. The Darkside slowly began the process of fading away like defeated heartless always tended to do, removing the biggest obstacle. Still that left the swarm of smaller heartless all around them, something now easily avoidable for all of them. "Let's hurry up and get to the house now."
Kel used aerial slam
Kel attacked with Fist Bump
Having made his back to the others after his first attack, Kel looked up to see that Sark was still dealing the effects of their first strike, granting them another chance to strike. "Count me in, I've been wanting to see what I can do now." Kel replied to his partner, taking note of the cherry blossoms that had started to fall. He knew exactly what that meant as well as how to respond. Both his keyblades were place on top one another before being moved to his side and just as cherry blossoms on his own making had started to fall, Kel closed his eyes. It was during this state that Kel focused purely on on where Sark was, waiting for the right time to strike. The moments that passed felt like an eternity until the first cheery blossom landed on the digital ground. At that moment, Kel lashed out and unleashed his attack. He too ended up on the other side of him just as Aislinn had done. Now that the damage had been dealt, Kel had gone back to dual wielding his keyblades in preparation for his next move. Kel used Zantesuken
