"Fine," Edward began. "I'm sorry. It's just... Jinx, you need to tell us where they might have gone so we can get going now!"
"Don't talk about her like that!" Edward hissed, pulling his fist back and shaking his hand slightly. "You need her help and you know it, so don't insult her!"
"That's the best you can do?" Edward cried. "Ask Jinx to tell us which general direction they went in? They are flying, Van Helsing! We'll never catch them, and, even if we do, you will kill Dracula and then kill her!"
"They took her?" Edward repeated incrdulously, walking over to Van Helsing, anger glaring in his eyes. "You couldn't stop them?" Van Helsing opened his mouth to reply, but Edward cut him off: "No! You're the Van Helsing for Christ's sake and you couldn't stop them from taking her? What is wrong with you?!"
Edward looked around, staring at Beatrice and Jinx. Van Helsing had turned around and was pacing, seeming to be thinking very hard. "Well?" Edward cried. "What the hell happened to her?!"
Edward opened his eyes, then cried out, a large plain exploding in his head. He looked around and saw the two brides flying off, shrieking the third's name. He stood up slowly, holding the bump on his head and rubbing the blood off with the back of his palm. He looked at Beatrice questiongly. "What happened?" he asked. She pointed over to the tree where Marishka lay, now disintergrated into a pile of bones and ashes. "He killed a bride?" Edward whispered. "Oh... that can't be good. Hey," he said, turning around to see Jinx landing and Van Helsing shouldering his gun. "Where the hell is Hannah?"
"You protect the vampire, werewolf?" Verona asked. "That is very foolish." Edward still had Van Helsing's silver bulleted gun in his belt and drew it now, having no other weapon. "What do you plan to do with that?" Verona asked, grabbing the fornt of Edward's tunic and yanking him two feet off the ground, barring her sharp teeth. "Something other than dying," Edward responded despite his breath being caught in his throat. He cocked the gun with his thumb, not knowing their was only one bullet left, and raised it to Verona's forehead. As he pulled the trigger and half the bride's head exploded in a mist of grey brain matter and blood, her nails dragged once more along his neck. The vital arteries along his throat spurted gouts of blood, making him lightheaded. He had just enough time to see Verona's head starting to grow back to its original shape before, despite his efforts, he passed out cold.
"Van Helsing, listen to--" But his sentence was cut short as Verona flew down and knocked him clear off Sorin. He cried out as she flung him against the nearest tree, sending fireworks of pain up his spine. He heard Hannah cry out and the other brides shriek with pleasure as Verona landed in front of him, grinning widely.
"Van Hesling," Edward said from beind him, his ears starting to prick at the sound of beating wings only he could hear. "Something's--"
Edward sat silently on the horse, Beatrice in front of him holding her horse's reigns, Jinx behind him. He only felt slighlty awkward with her arms around his waist.
OOC: Oh, yes: mrs baggins is SO COOL she is playing VAN HELSING AND DRACULA! those are some serious, yummy skittles!!!
OOC: BURN!!! lol BIC: "It's a good thing I put you on a horse with the farm girl, huh?" Van Hesling smirked as Edward walked back to Sorin. Edward said nothing in reply. He had to know eventually, he tried to convince himself mentally. The question of the boy's death was going to hang their forever and drive me insane! I had to say something...
"I think we should get moving," Edward said. "If everyone can agree to let each other live for now. Hannah, I'm sorry--" he began, but her sharp, hurt gaze cut his weak sentence from his mouth like a knife.
"You don't have to be alone," Edward said quietly after a moment. "We are here, and, for some unknown, ridiculous reason, we want to stay with you and help you... if you let us live till then."
Edward realized he felt the same as Hannah. He nodded, looking at Van Helsing. "She's right, you know," he spoke. "Neither of us had a choice to become what we are... you cannot blame a good soul for being unwillingly corrupted." OCC: does dracula have a cough/ cold? :guiltygearXpc37:
BIC: Edward suddenly seemed to come to his senses. "No," he stepped in front of Hannah. "Don't."
Occ: *GASP!*
"She did it," Edward completed suddenly, pointing at Hannah. Everyone fell silent and Hannah gave him an incredulous, furious look. "She's a vampire, Van Helsing. She didn't mean to, but she killed Henry."
OOC: *TRUMPET BLAST* the real hannah-poo has RETURNED! BIC: Edward, having no idea was came over him, jumped down from Sorin and walked over to stand by Jinx. "She didn't do it," he began. Hannah shot him a look, but the tension in the air was too much for him to keep silent.
It's her, Edward thought, his werewolf inuition starting up again without his consent. She's in the tree... by why hide from us? Van Helsing said she knew him and Hannah... I guess not very well, huh? Edward caught Van Helsing's eye and gestured slightly with his head up the tree. The other man cocked his head slightly, not understanding, and then nodded.
