Edward made a more serious face. "I'm sorry," he began suddenly. "I'm sorry you got hurt. I should have moved faster, made a quicker movement, sensed what he was about to do... then you'd be fine right now..."
Edward laughed. "You sound defiantly better," he smirked, turning her rather sharply so she had to look up at him. "That's a good thing, right?"
Edward opened the door to the inn's room slowly so as not to disturb Hannah if she was still sleeping. It was dark, just as he'd left it with the heavy curtains closed against the strong afternoon sun. Hannah was still fast asleep, and Edward chuckled at her trousled, messy hair and slightly open mouth. He sat down next to her, trying even to hold his breath enough to stop her from waking. He ran a gentle hand across her cheek, admiring how chilled her skin was against his. He smiled when he turned slightly, and he nudged her shoulder. "Hannah," he whispered. "Are you ready to get up yet?"
"Do you both mind if I go inside and check on her?" Edward asked. "The sun is starting to get to the point of the beginning of sunset... and Van Helsing wants to go, though he really doesn't say it aloud."
Edward thought as he walked back to the stables: I should tell Van Helsing about what Charlotte let me know... it's vital information. But he and his thoughts are not being very kind to Hannah right now... I will keep my information till I see fit... Edward saw Jinx standing outside the room with Beatrice and he approached slowly as to try and not interrupt them too much. "How is she, ladies?" he asked.
"When do you want to leave?" Edward asked, coming into the stables once more, his arms now free of any gorey burden. "We will wait for Hannah to get better, right?"
Edward muttered something under his breath, gathering all of Elijah that he could under the cloak and turning toward the forrest. "I'll put him out there," he mumbled, and then turned to leave the stables and go into the nearby trees. He walked along, trying to ignore the smell coming from the body. He trudged through and past several areas of trees, and then finally found a ditch nearby that was full of leaves. "Perfect for you," Edward grunted, and tossed Elijah's body into the trench, leaves poofing up and flying around the air in a flurry. Edward turned around to go, running a hand through his hair. Hannah better feel well soon, he thought. We need to go but I'd hate to force her into an awful carriage ride with a wound that will probably heal very slowly in that location...
OOC: you KNOW lestat is sexy and there's nothing you can do about it! he lives forever!!! ^ ^ ^ "YOU KNOW I'M HOT! WANT SOME?"
"What?" Edward asked. "Now? What the h.ell do you expect me to do with it?"
"Well," Edward said as he reached Van Helsing and Carl. "It's good to see both of you again. What can I do to help?" ^ ^ ^ "OKAY, SOMEONE NEEDS TO SIT HERE! WHO'S IT GONNA BE??"
"You rest," Edward said, leaning down to kiss her cheek. "I'll be back soon." He stood, and then went over to the window to shut the heavy cloth curtains against the late afternoon sun. He walked quietly to the door and shut it silently behind him. Van Helsing better take a while getting ready,Edward thought as he walked toward the stables. She needs to rest... OOC: ^ ^ ^ "YES, I AM A SEXY BEAST! WHO'S NEXT??"
"No," Edward said, going over to the bed again and pushign her back down onto the pillows. "You're in no shape for a long, bumping carriage ride and you know it."
"It's okay," Edward spoke, wanting to reach out and hold her, but stopping himself. "I understand. I.. wait..." he stood and walked to the window. "Yeah," he said to the window. "They're back. I can see the carriages from here. Van Helsing will want to leave soon."
"Really?" Edward asked. "Why? Is she bleeding?"
"Good," Edward said to Beatrice, not looking at Hannah. "I'm sure Van Helsing will want to leave by nightfall."
"For now," Edward muttered. "You'll need to eat something soon, and I'll still be here if you need help." "Can Sorin pull a carriage with Lexi?" Edward asked, looking at Beatrice once more.
"You don't have to do anything," Edward whispered to her, and then turned to Beatrice. "Well, that's very nice of you!" he said, taking the cloak and laying it next to Hannah.
"Correct me if I'm completely wrong," Edward began nonetheless, "but wouldn't... drinking something make you stronger and better?"
"You saw me rip out throats from live creatures," Edward replied softly. "I think I can deal with unpleasant if I must. Plus..." he paused, laughing. "I want to help you."
"I..." Edward began, unsure. "I can get you something, since you're in no shape to get up and go out. I bet... something would help you feel better and get stronger faster."
