y'know considering i took a philosophy class last semester and we talked about Sartre i'm ashamed of myself for not thinking about him and all that But yeah, I got what it was about thematically, I just didn't think it was that interesting. Maybe on another watch I would think differently but I always thought Lemonhope was annoying. And not the funny annoying like Lemongrab.

IT'S ON JUST READ 525 I think I'll be caught up sometime early June. I could have been much farther by now but when I was reading Thriller Bark I slowed to a crawl, was a little burnt out after Enies. maybe i'll save the last couple chapters for my birthday if i make it in time. that would be sweeeet.

Not really. What someone likes is an opinion, but what's good is less subjective than that. And the only time people equate popularity to good is when they're trying to defend something blatantly terrible. Avengers is a good movie that also made big money. That doesn't mean Twilight is as good as Avengers, it means it's as popular. or more. and then there's Bayformers.
eeeeeh I don't agree. Frozen is at least (from what I've heard, haven't seen it myself) a good movie, whereas Twilight is not, which is a big part of why it's annoying -- the fact that so many people could go crazy for something so shit. At least here people like something because it's good. but yeah the fandom is ridiculously annoying

Surprisingly, I think my favorite episode of the season was Earth and Water. It completely changed my opinion on Flame Princess by making her an interesting and sympathetic character, and maybe even one of my favorites. Before that I was totally uninterested in her. I don't know if this would be my favorite episode if I sat and thought about every single one (because S5 is basically amazing episode after amazing episode) but it's definitely one that left a big impression. FP was great in this season in general. But oh man, now that you have reminded me of AT I'm sad because I don't have anything new to watch or no season to binge. I've never had more fun watching a show in my life. The show just makes me... happy? Like, I can't describe it. Just sitting down and watching an episode really quick or watching an entire season, something about the show gives me all kinds of warm feels. gonna start having withdrawals or something I NEED MORE AT IN MY LIFE. Once I start buying comics again (money's been really sparse recently) you can bet AT is going to be one of my pulls.
Yes, I've pointed out that, regarding Jiku, if she is mafia we should not lynch her yet. I have my doubts about her alignment, it's impossible to tell based on her posts alone, but since she's playing the game so passively there's no harm in keeping her in the game for now. Someone has to be the last mafia alive and if she's mafia it should be her as things stand now. We should try to root out the inactive and ones influencing others first.
Does reverse-racism necessarily follow from a predetermined extent of racism? Because I don't think anyone here is arguing that racism towards a majority is anything like racism towards a minority, but if reverse-racism is simply racism against a majority then it definitely is a thing and I don't see how people can say it's not. I have yet to get a clear definition of what reverse-racism actually is, and it seems that people arguing its existence simply disagree or aren't on the same page on what the definition of it is. I think you would be hard-pressed to find any people saying reverse-racism doesn't exist who would also say that racism towards a majority doesn't exist. But at the same time I think people who say it does exist are simply coming from the perspective of racism on the whole, not just institutionalized racism. Again, racism being discrimination based on race, not talking about to what extent unless specified.

What basis would there be for having that suspicion? No one is going to come forward and say that they're the doctor or the detective (unless they're trying to save themselves apparently) so there is nothing to inform that, especially considering Senpai said very little. And there's nothing to set her apart from the other quiet ones to draw that suspicion. And if he was mafia he wouldn't have voted for her, he would have voted for someone else to try to get us to lynch another townie and then kill her at night. two birds one stone. At least, that makes more sense if you're the most influential person in the game and mafia. I don't think he's mafia. And, just throwing this out there, Bite the Dust did not die last night despite coming forward as the apparent doctor. Not making a judgement based on that, just making sure we're all aware of it.
@DigitalAtlas but yes i think that's a good idea. As evident from the results of the last day, we need some form a consensus or clear direction. At least then we would be working together rather than against each other, and perhaps make it easier to tell who among us is mafia. And I'm not going to be the one to call them out, last time I tried that we almost killed an important player, or at least one I'm not willing to lynch if they are who they say they are. Ah, I see.
