I don't see why it should matter, but I'll oblige anyway: I like it because it feels like a cartoon from my childhood. It was developed for TV by Lauren Faust, the incredible mind behind Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and The PowerPuff Girls. Cartoons nowadays don't carry the same messages that those shows did, which taught you to appreciate everyone no matter what because they were special in their own way. Cartoons from past 2002 are mostly senseless violence or just plain, unfunny, stupid, simple-minded comedy. My Little Pony shows that friendship is all anyone really needs, because no matter what, your true friends will always stick by you, no matter who you are or how much you change.
