What is generally the deciding factor that makes you like, love, or hate music? Meaningful lyrics? Cool sounds? A catchy beat? For me, it's a good melody and good vocals. I'm unsurprisingly picky about music but I'm not extremely picky about any one thing. Basically, it just has to sound nice on my ears. When it comes to lyrics, they can't make a song but they can certainly break a song. A good beat is nice but for me it's entirely supplemental and not what I listen for.

Yeah I've seen the mask and really wish it had stayed. I'm still pulling for a classic Goblin at some point, even if it is the Ultimate look which I love and thought we were going to get in some capacity in this one given the transformation sequence. Well, agree to disagree I guess. I liked him as Harry and GG, though not so much what he was given to do. And I was really excited for mech Rhino (before I saw any pictures) because I thought we were going to get something like Ultimate Rhino (awesome) but instead we got Michael Bay Transformer Rhino. talk about disappointment. and I didn't even notice what the hands looked like. I was too distracted that he had GUNS. ugh. and as soon as he got down on all 4s my thought was "nope. you've totally ruined it." Costumes are still a thing superhero films are trying to get right and this absolutely blows my mind considering we have a guy in a red and blue suit swinging around on webs.
Hey, I would rather have a forgettable suit than that yellow/green abomination. And since this franchise is taking a lot of cues from Ultimate, the costume is somewhat source-accurate so I'm not complaining too much. And the guys blue and made of electricity doing Dr. Manhattan-style stunts lol. He doesn't need a good costume to be remembered imo. I liked the lightning bolts on it. What won me over was the scene where he and Harry enter the office and you can see the full costume, it looked nice. Okay. Just looking at Green Goblin's costume, I don't hate it. I do hate it for still being some dumb suit like in Raimi's (though it looks infinitely better), and since they already had him becoming goblin-like I have to wonder why they couldn't have just done something with that. But I do think overall he looks kinda cool. I never got a good look at the glider though. And that laugh. I got so excited in the theater when I heard it. I really don't like Rhino at the end. It's like they were trying to do Rhino without doing Rhino. First of all, how dumb is it that a GIANT RHINO SUIT has guns. Come on. But at the same time, we got a Rhino suit and that's pretty cool. I think the change in his costume without explanation is a simple matter of "you know what, this looks better in every way so let's just pretend it was always like this." I don't really need an explanation as long as they just go with it. I'm more than willing to look the other way and not ask questions given how beautiful it is. finally eyes that are white and the perfect shape. i cant get over those eyes.
So this is obviously a pretty polarizing movie, but I think we can all agree that this is one of the best looking superhero films out there,... right? And I don't mean quality of cg, though it is pretty darn good, I mean just overall aesthetic. The costume is easily the best of all the ones on film. Easily. And while I didn't hate the one before this, this one is perfect. And most importantly, the color palette. I know a lot of people had problems with the first one being too dark, though with it being a fairly bleak story, I don't think muted colors are out of place. And let's be honest, it's not that dark. But 2 got it perfectly. Those colors, man. I can't get enough. This movie looks stunning. Spider-Man has never looked better on screen, and I dare say no superhero has looked better either.
I just remembered I have to finish Person 3 fes. and 3rd Birthday. and Patapon. and Scribblenauts Unmasked. and Final Fantasy XII. and finish reading Scott Pilgrim. I finished the 3rd book a couple months ago and just.. stopped. I have the boxset though so it's waiting for me.
I hesitate to say "too soon" since we're approaching 15 years... but it feels too soon. Idk. Sure I guess not everyone feels this way, but I have a harder time understanding the person who wants to go to this museum than the person who wants to make it.
