I actually thought about this after a movie like Cloverfield. Anything is possible, quoted from most Old People. I mean, this is the world we're talking about. We've invented so many things, so many accomplishments; and yet we're supposably 'stopped' by the big flat screen in front of our faces. I still think there could be a way to bring these fantasies to life. We just have to find it.
