I don't know if any of you remember, but a while ago i posted about possibly getting a dog for a birthday present from my best friend. Well, she found a breeder, chances are i'll be getting a dog soon! That's the good news, here's where it starts getting bad i guess. My sister's been looking around for a kitten. Not any kitten in particular, just a kitten. She started looking when she found out i may be getting a dog, so i guess it's sort of like "if he gets something I want something". She'll be getting a kitten from one of her friends long before i get the dog, my birthday present. Thing is, we have 2 dogs and a cat as it is, so i'm not even 100% sure that my parents would let me keep my dog, let alone after my sister gets a cat. Basically, my sister may have ****ed my chances of getting the birthday present i've wanted for years. Any advice?

OOC: Not quite sure how long this'll have to drag out before Horus meets the Earth King o.o BiC: Still on the way to the Earth King, multiple thoughts were running through Horus' mind. Would a king of the Earth Kingdom really bait a trap for a firebender? Does he even know i AM a firebender? What will he do if he discovers it? Am i making the right decision? he panicked. His breathing quickened. His attitude changed after a few seconds. So what if he DOES try to execute me? He's an earth bender, i'm a fire bender, i should be fine.

Damn, i suppose not many people would use it anyway. It's just there are some RP's that i used to be part of that either i got completely ignored in, or the owner left for a while and people took it as an opportunity to turn it into THEIR RP, instead of sticking to what it was originally about, and it's irritating me whenever someone posts in it.

I know there's a way to subscribe to threads to see when someone posts, but what i want to know is this: Is there a way for a user such as myself to hide a thread, so that i cannot see the thread i wish to have hidden?
"Fought well? Well, i suppose it's your call. What exactly does this king want to see us for though?" Horus questioned, following the earthbender. He tried to think of what it could be. Could it be a weapon? A reward? His heart skipped a beat as a new thought came into his mind, one he dreaded immensely. What if he wants to execute me for being a firebender? Is this a trap? he wondered, beginning to panic.
"You seem familiar.." Horus said. He couldn't quite place his finger on who the person was, but something about him seemed familiar. He gave a thumbs up to show that he was indeed alright, and a half hearted grin. He wasn't quite sure if it was the appropriate response, but it was the one he gave anyway.
I quite like it, it's an entertaining show o.o
Horus got up. He was dazed, but alive. "W-what?" he stammered. He tried to look for the opponenet he had been fighting, but he just couldn't move his eyes past the flames around him. "Why would they do something like this? This place had no reason to be attacked" Horus stated, thinking aloud. He stared at the person that had saved him. And why did you save me? Are there others that would do the same? he pondered.
Horus slammed into a wall. He'd gotten cocky, that he knew. He'd been helping the people flee, when a soldier, presumably fire nation, demanded he stopped helping them and let them suffer their fate. Horus had told him that what they were doing was wrong, but the soldier hadn't listened, instead attacking Horus with small fireballs. Tired, Horus hadn't much chance. He took fireball after fireball, gradually being worn down. And now here he was, on his back, looking up at the soldier that had bested him, praying for a miracle to save him. Well, maybe this is how it was supposed to end.. he thought.

After finishing off a few more of the fire nation soldiers, Horus stopped, breathing heavily. Not used to such extensive combat, he tired easily. Taking a deep breath, he ran straight into the center of the blaze and began trying to help the people that couldn't fight back flee.
Horus was practically screaming at the fire nation soldiers to stop now. He was hesitant to use his bending skills in case he was seen. After weighing up the consequences, he decided he wouldn't let another kingdom fall to the fire nation. He threw a scorching out fireball at one of the soldiers, and kicked back another one away from himself. Each attack was getting more desperate than the last, and it was showing, but he was trying.
Horus heard a scream, and instinctively turned to look at what had caused it. His heart seemed to stop. The Fire Nation was attacking. He took a deep breath."This is the day i've been waiting for" he said quietly. He leapt off the building and sprinted over to where the majority of the fighting seemed to be taking place. "Fire nation! Leave this place!" he demanded.
