"Thanks, i really needed that" Glen said gratefully to Eon. He looked at Ratigan. "Damnit, he's just not slowing down!" he exclaimed. Suddenly Glen heard a voice in his head. "Hit him into the gears, Glen, the gears..." Rienzel's voice said in a ghostly tone. Running over to Ratigan Glen spun around and hit Ratigan with all his might, attempting to knock the rat into the gears of the clock.
Caleb was getting more frustrated by the second. He pointed at his eyes. "You see these dark circles here? A lot of people think i'm some kind of gothic kid wearing eye makeup, you know what it is? It's the effect of not having any sleep for weeks, because i'm always having to protect the town from one thing or another. You are NOT leaving until i know for certain that you're not involved in this in any way. People are depending on me to protect them, and if i just let people go walking away purely because they want to leave before i know whether or not they're a threat, i'll be letting them down" he said. He raised both of his katana. Despite the other nobodies and heartless, he was becoming more and more convinced that this guy in front of him was up to no good. "And i never let people down!" he yelled, ready for a fight.
Gexln stood silently for a moment. He hadn't been asked that question before, nor had he given it much thought. After a brief moment, he answered. "Well, when i become the strongest, there will be someone else trying to surpass me, so i'll have to keep becoming stronger and stronger, and never lose. That is my penultimate goal, and that is what i will achieve" he declared. Kaxar blushed a little bit and stepped back away from Beuce, unsure how to react. "I-i'm sorry, i haven't fallen from anywhere, you've got the wrong person" she exclaimed. She kept walking back until she bumped into Verox. "Oh, sorry!" she apologized immediately. Verox smirked for a second at Beuce's comments to Kaxar, and even moreso at her reaction to them. He was going to have a little fun to liven the place up. "Not a problem at all Kaxar, to be touched by a goddess such as yourself is truly a privilege" he said in a friendly manner. Kaxar wasn't sure how to react to Verox's comments. She felt as though she was being made fun of, so she backed away from the both of them, being very careful not to bump into people. Her cheeks felt as though they were on fire, herself not being used to attention from anybody. Spoiler Caleb walked over to the two and using one of his katanas he gently pushed Satsujin's katana down. "There are strange creatures roaming around the town, frightening the townspeople and killing innocents, and here we stand bickering like children. You two can resolve this later, for now we need to get rid of the rest of the things in the town!" Caleb announced. He then turned to look at the man that had scared the Nobodies. "And you, don't even think of running off after R just yet. I'm not sure what your involvement with all this is just yet, but you're going to help us resolve this issue first, is that understood?" he questioned in a semi-threatening tone. He didnt like to play the role of hard-ass leader, but so long as the town was in danger he didn't care what people thought of him too much.
Kaxar was still in shock as she arrived at the tower. That was the first time in a long time she had seen someone die, and it was not something she wanted to experience again. She hadn't known Emerald, but the thought of someone dying when they hadn't done anything wrong upset her. She slowly walked inside the tower, and when she got to where the others were she heard the king ask who they were. She swallowed the feeling of sadness, trying her best to overcome it. "My name is Kaxar, and i'm trying to free a friend from the darkness that he cast upon himself" she said simply, her voice giving off a vibe of sadness. Verox was still waiting. He wasn't quite sure yet what to think of the king, and he wasn't entirely sure of the others either, but the way Kaxar spoke of her friend intrigued him. From what he knew, he'd only ever heard of one person willingly letting darkness consume them. He didn't know that many people, but was it possible the friend was the same Nobody that Verox had allowed to live? He shrugged off the thought, continuing to wait. Gexln followed R. He still wasn't entirely certain about R. Part of him got the impression that R was just someone trying to obtain peace through whatever means necessary, yet at the same time he seemed to possess a unique way of doing things. Even in the fight between the two of them, R had seemed oddly calm, and even ending the girl's life he had again visually appeared very calm. Caleb turned Satsujin right as he finished off a couple of the berserkers. "I have no idea who you are, but thank you for the assistance" he said, turning his attention back to the remaining berserkers. His shock only increased as the figure scared off the Nobodies. While it was a good thing the Nobodies had left, he didn't like the fact that they seemed to fear the figure. Caleb himself had taken out many of the dusks quickly with relative ease, and yet they had barely reacted, what had this figure done? He didn't let his guard down, keeping his blades raised. For all he knew, this could be the reason the Nobodies were there in the first place. "I've never heard of that name, perhaps you would be better to ask him" he stated, gesturing towards Satsujin.
Glen was taking far more damage than he planned. The battle was beginning to get very dangerous for him. Drinking his Hi-Potion, he felt instantly rejuvenated ready to continue the fight.
Down went another Dusk. Caleb was wielding his blades with expertise; as the strike from his Viking Sword ended, the swing from his other hand which held the Spadroon was already beginning, cutting through the Dusks quite quickly. The Dusks were surprisingly beginning to show hesitation now in their attacks, trying to avoid falling like the ones before them, but that wouldn't stop Caleb. He was down to two Dusks now. He launched the Viking Sword at one, and the Spadroon at the other, ending them instantaneously. Caleb let out a sigh, though the Dusks were quite weak alone so many of them had taken a toll on his energy. Ten Berserkers materialized behind him and quickly moved into position to surround him. How many of them are there? He wondered. Caleb took a deep breath and re-summoned his Japanese katana in his right hand, and then summoned yet another one in his left hand. "As long as i draw breath, i won't let you hurt the people here!" he yelled out, running at them with both blades held out ready to attack.
Glen yet again attempted to attack Ratigan, wondering just how long it would take before everyone was able to work together to bring the rat down.
Gexln followed through the dark corridor. He had understood R's response perfectly, but he didn't like the feeling of talking in the language of the dark. He said nothing as R approached the girl, but was genuinely surprised when R killed her. Had he ever killed someone out of kindness? Had he ever thought it was possible to kill out of kindness? No, yet here was R doing just that. He just stood there, watching, unsure of if he should say anything, or what he would say if he decided to. He said nothing but instead pulled the hood of his coat up. He would wait until R had finished, and then find out where they would go from there. Caleb unsheathed the japanese katana. Launching himself at the nearest dusk, he dashed alongside the dusk and slashed horizontally, ending the dusk in an instant. He then heard a swift movement behind him. He turned around in time to see a dusk swinging its arms at him. Reacting fast, he raised the japanese katana to block the attack. He then leapt backwards and into the air. Raising his katana up high, he cried out "back down!" before hurling the blade as fast as he could throw it straight through the dusk, impaling it. He landed on the ground beneath him, too far to retrieve the katana. He could just create another one if he had to anyway. Looking around himself, he had noticed the dusks reacting more aggressively now, swarming towards him. He sighed in annoyance. People were depending on him, he couldn't afford to waste time! He had an idea. "People are relying on me, i won't let them down!" he exclaimed. He held both his hands out to his sides as a small amount of light enveloped each one. Once the light subsided, in his left hand he held a Viking Sword, and in his right a Spadroon. His eyes narrowed slightly in concentration, his determination to protect the residents of Twilight Town even stronger.

Spoiler Caleb was running as fast as he could. He'd heard rumours of Seifer and his gang going to the forest earlier, but nobody knew why. Then creatures had begun appearing, Nobodies and Heartless. Coincidence? He doubted it. He hurried through Tram Common and approached the opening. Caleb had always been one to help others in need, and like it or not Seifer always seemed to be the "town's protector", so where he went often Caleb would see himself needing to help. However, as he went to go through the opening, multiple Nobodies appeared around himself, blocking the entrance. "Gah, Seifer will have to wait. For now, i have to protect everyone from these things! I'm assuming you things are the troublemakers here so, i'm going to have to ask you to leave" he said. "Requip!" he shouted. A bright light came from his right hand for a few seconds, and after the light faded a japanese katana was in his hand. He braced himself for battle, ready to take out the Nobodies quickly.

Gexln watched Rexitus carefully as he spoke. He didn't know what to think of him. He seemed to be very sure of himself, and seemed to be attuned to the numbers of heartless, something that he'd never heard of many Nobodies being able to do. When he saw Rexitus worm-hole away, again he was surprised. That one could be powerful, maybe he thought. He didn't even look at R as he spoke. "He speaks of the heartless as though he had some control over them. That's interesting, because i can speak the language of the dark. I used to be able to control heartless too, i haven't tried it in a very long time though. Although for someone who is supposedly on your side, he doesn't seem to respect you a great deal does he?" Gexln questioned. He made a mental note to test the limits of Rexitus at one point or another, and try to discover just how much control over both Nobodies and Heartless he had. One thing was for sure; Rexitus was an interesting person to Gexln. He looked at Darkness' Sorrow. "When he spoke of coming and going as he pleases, he sounded very sure of himself. Too sure for someone who would see himself as beneath you really" he finished.
Glen decided to try something different. Rather than just full on striking Ratigan without hesitation, he took a few steps back. Magic had never been his forte, he'd never really liked to use it much at all, but he figured now was as good a time as any to try something new as hitting it wasn't seeming to do a lot. "Burn!" he shouted as he cast fire magic.
This information was interesting to Gexln. His attention was instantly caught at the very mention of a war. "War..sounds kinda fun" he said. He quite liked the thought of being involved in a war, and figured it was a good place to prove to himself that he can be stronger. He looked back at the pod. "So this thing better hurry up and get fixed fast, we've got more stones to get and then a war to fight!" he exclaimed, unable to suppress his desire for combat. It wasn't the thought of bloodshed that drove him to like combat so much, it was the fact that he figured if he could kill someone he was somewhat stronger than them, a goal he had had since the very first day of his being. He waited for a moment, thinking about the conversation and the war. Scratching his head, he spoke up. "But how do you plan on ending a war? Even with a display of power it's just human nature to fight each other, war is never ending" he said.
"So lets assume that this pod...thing..does actually work, and your magical stones are fixed and powerful again. What happens after that?" Gexln asked. He paced around a little. "Would you use it to try and keep intruders outside of somewhere like the cornerstone of light, was it? I think that's what you called it, or would you use it for something else entirely?" he added. He wasn't entirely sure that he should be asking these questions given the circumstances, but if he didn't the curiosity inside of him would be prodding away at his thoughts, always wondering about the plan.
Gexln followed R into the rooms, saying nothing but merely observing. R hadn't shown any objection to him following, which was odd in his opinion. When they got to the last white room he finally spoke up. "So, how is this place going to help you restore whatever it is you're trying to restore?" he questioned. He couldn't help but wonder exactly what the thing was that R was trying to restore, obviously something important.
If he truly is associated with the darkness, maybe i could learn a thing or two from him. And eventually overpower him, maybe Gexln thought. He picked up Darkness' Sorrow again, but made no move to attack with it or even threaten R. "Well then, R, maybe i could help you. I can control the darkness quite well, so i could eliminate those who would oppose you with ease. I've also travelled a lot, so i could probably help restore that thing" Gexln stated. He wasn't lying about being able to eliminate people, in his mind he believed he really could help with that, but he wasn't so sure about helping restoring the cornerstone.
Gexln gritted his teeth. "Heh, you move fast. Didn't think i'd lose again so quickly, must be losing my touch" he replied in a somewhat aggressive tone. He held up Darkness' Sorrow high in the air with his left hand. He then let go of it, showing R that he yielded. What he didn't mention was that he hadn't gotten the chance to go all out. Truth be told, he could probably get out of the situation he was in, but then again he didn't know the extent of this man's power either. For once in your life, think with your head and not your blade Gexln he thought to himself. Darkness' Sorrow clanged on the ground. "You win" he stated. He still didn't turn around, unsure if R would take it as a sign of aggression or not. "What's your name?" he questioned.
"Shadows..." Gexln echoed. Could this man be associated with the darkness? He'd used dark firaga but that didn't mean he was with the dark. His eyes tried furiously to keep up with R's movements as he flew around him. He tried ducking and weaving around his cuts, but a few got through and made several scratches on his right arm. He cringed a little as they hit, but quickly realised he had to do something or else he was going to lose again. Thinking quickly, he spun in a 360 degree arc, attempting to hit R with Darkness' Sorrow.
