Kaxar stopped attacking as her keyblade came flying back towards her. She caught it with ease, but was shocked. Had her attack actually disarmed Satsujin? She hadn't thought she'd be able to do that. "I-i'm trying my best" she stammered, trying to get the words out. "Does this mean we're done with training?" Kaxar asked. She was enjoying learning new techniques and getting used to combat, she felt she was learning quickly.
Look at Vex's last post. "We have ways of discerning the truth"
Once upon a time, yes lol why?
Skadi snapped out of her trance-like state. She had been thinking only of the party's stamina the entire time, thinking each of them would be exhausted. Thankfully, she had been wrong thus far. She looked at the creature that stood before them. Skadi wasn't the most intelligent person, but even she could tell that she could tell that the creature wasn't exactly an ally. She waved her staff in a small circle as she envisioned a small fireball, and from that casting procedure spat a searing fireball that flew at the enemy.
Glen couldn't believe what had happened to the camp while they had been gone. He partially blamed himself for it. If he hadn't made so much noise in the cave, there was a chance that they wouldn't have been trapped, a chance they could have been at the camp the moment it was attacked. He clenched a fist as the captain spoke. "Don't you worry, Captain. After i'm through with him, Shan-Yu isn't going to bother anyone ever again" Glen said, his voice void of emotion. He turned and followed Karina, also summoning his keyblade as he walked. While he knew that Ping had to have his/her chance to shine, there was absolutely no way he was going to stand back and watch after what Shan-Yu did to the camp.
"Scarfy?" Gexln asked, somewhat confused. He looked down slightly. Even though he was wearing an Organization cloak, he could still barely see a small black scarf wrapped around his neck. "THAT'S the best you came up with?" he taunted. He decided to comply with what Xero had asked, and placed the stone back into the pocket of his coat. There was no sense in torturing the girl, even if it did amuse Gexln slightly. It was then that Gexln noticed a presence. A powerful presence. Not one of R's strength, but one that reminded him of someone. He spun around to see a figure standing there. The man, Enox, shared the same dark signature as that of the note. Something told Gexln that it was not simply coincidence. "So, you're the guy that wrote the note huh? Wanna share that secret of true power yet, or do I have to force it out of you?" he asked. He wasn't going to show any fear of this man, not that he had any, and he wasn't going to beat around the bush. Caleb was enjoying watching the battle between Satsujin and Kaxar. Kaxar's skill with the keyblade was growing at a tremendous rate, the girl may even have been able to hold her own against Caleb if she had to, thankfully he wouldn't have to find out though. As he was analysing her combat techniques, he couldn't help but notice that there was another set of eyes watching the battle other than his own. He got up and quietly walked over to Dusk. "Hey there, are you here with Eon and the other newcomers? I don't believe we've met" Caleb greeted, introducing himself.
Updated the accepted characters list because lets face it, Ace did nothing but chirp a pretty tune every now and then. I don't think he qualifies as his own character, but if anyone has an issue with this then just say it.
Then sign me up for the next one :D
Reeeed am I able to sign up for multiple photo matches in a row? :P
Curse you Bushy, you've converted Maka's Australian accent into a British one! You need to take better care of your twin.
"Just because you're jealous of my devilishly handsome looks doesn't mean you need to use them as an insult" Gexln retorted, cocky as ever. He turned to look at Valinton then. "Well, I suppose you could say.." he began, but was stopped as Xero awoke and punched Valinton in the jaw. "You okay Xero?" he asked. After a moment he realized that she would probably be fine, she was just going through a state of shock. "R seems to want peace. No idea why a heartless would want peace, but that's what he wants. He always talks about how this cornerstone thing" he said, holding up the piece of the stone. "Could easily be what forces the lights to give up. Personally, i'd rather just kill most of the lights myself, but I know R could probably kick my ass, so for the moment i've gotta be all co-operative and stuff" he responded to Valinton, giving only a half-assed explanation.
Gexln followed Valinton through the dark corridor, making sure to close it as he stepped through it; he didn't want anyone to find their way into the realm of darkness. He gazed at the door, the one that would take him back to his time. Would he arrive back at the point that they'd left, or would it be a little later? Time travel sure was confusing. There was only one way to find out for certain though. He watched as Valinton opened the door and walked through, before following through himself. He found himself in Radiant Garden once again. "Hmmm, well I guess we should be taking you to R right Valinton? May as well take Xero along too, maybe R can help speed up her recovery or something" Gexln said, voicing his thoughts aloud. Where was R though? He could probably track down R's dark signature if he tried, but did he necessarily have to? He remembered before Radiant Garden R had gone to Castle Oblivion, and it had seemed as though it was a place he visited often. Perhaps if they waited there, R would come to them. While they waited, Gexln could also ponder on the note he had received. He opened up another dark corridor, one that lead to Castle Oblivion. "Come on, no rest for the wicked" he said, half joking as he walked through the corridor, stepping out into Castle Oblivion's hall. He noticed that Kaya was still standing there, but also remembered he didn't actually know the girl's name. "Hey, Red, you know where R is?" he asked. Kaxar's eyes widened slightly as Satsujin stepped around the beams. He was so fast, how was she supposed to hit him? The next thing she knew, Satsujin was next to her with his sheathed sword near her throat. If it were a real fight, she would have been killed. She watched as he walked back away and told her not to hold back. "O-okay, but sorry If I hurt you" she responded. She repeated what she had done before, sending several light beams towards Satsujin, but at a much faster rate. Although, that wasn't all she was going to do. If she was going to train, she was going to do so now with much more effort behind her attacks. She swung hurled her keyblade at Satsujin, using strike raid, but infused it with the element of light so that it glowed as it spun, indicating its extra power.
Gexln watched as Valinton freed Xero from her 'trance'. He couldn't help but tense up a little as he stuck his hand in her chest, what if he hurt her? He shook off the worry, this Valinton did not seem like the other one. What had happened to cause the one from his time to snap? "Hmm?" his attention was brought back to the current situation as Valinton asked about the war. He took a deep breath, this was going to be a difficult thing to explain. "Because Xero told you she'd help you get out of here, I'm going to have to explain something to you. You might notice that me and Xero...well, you probably haven't seen us around much right? We're not from this time. Try to keep with me on this, I don't want to have to explain it again. We are from the future, not from this time. In our time, people that side with the light are opposed to us people with the dark. We've fought many times, but not like this. There's going to be a war, a war over Kingdom Hearts. And only one side will survive it. The guy that..I suppose you could call our leader, R, he sent us through a door back into the past, where we are now, to retrieve..." he began. He walked over and took the stone out of Valinton's hands. "To get this. This stone, R believes, could be what decides which side emerges from the war victorious" he added. He paused, unsure how to say the next part. "Look, in our time, you branded yourself an enemy. Usually, I would have killed you right where you are, but you don't seem like your future self yet, so i'll take you to R and he can figure out what to do with you. And when you do meet R, you might want to be careful with what you say. R is someone you don't want to cross" he warned. He then turned and opened a dark corridor, one that would lead to the door back to radiant garden. He thought then of the Valinton of their time's death. "Oh, and if you were thinking of asking what happened to the future you, don't. Trust me, you don't want to know" Gexln finished. He then gestured towards the dark corridor. "Step through here, and you'll see a door. Step through the door, and you'll enter a world you may not like, the choice is yours whether or not you remain there" he said. He shook his head. "Man I need to stop hanging around R so much, i'm starting to sound more like him" he muttered under his breath as he waited for Valinton to walk through the corridor.
Gexln watched as Xero finished off the figure. He couldn't quite shake the feeling that he had known the figure from somewhere, but now he would never find out. His attention was caught by a small note blowing towards him. What made it even more odd was the fact that there was little to no wind where he was. After reading the note, a devilish smile crossed the young Nobody's face. "Sounds like whoever sent this note is pretty powerful, and there's a war against those with the light?" he questioned aloud. As he did, two thoughts crossed his mind. The first was that Kaxar was one of the lights, and he did not want to fight her at all. However, the other was that the boy that he had fought with at Twilight Town would probably be with them too. "Heh, it seems like your time is up.." Gexln said quietly. Unsure if Xero had received a similar note or if he had to show her his, he turned to look at her. "Hey Xero, did you get-" he paused mid sentence. Something wasn't right about Xero, something seemed off. Valinton had noticed it too, it seemed. What added to the problem was that he felt a little weaker, almost like something was missing. His blade? No, no not that. The thought popped up in Gexln's mind almost as quickly as the question had. His darkness, some of it was being drained. What was causing it? Gexln's eyes locked onto the stone that was glowing within Xero. Was that the stone they had been looking for all along? The one R wanted? It had to be removed. He didn't want to harm Xero to get it, but if that was the only option then that was what he would do. He looked sideways at Valinton. "Hey, you. You have any idea how to get that thing out of her?" he questioned.
Shut up and get in your pokeball before I get angry.
Gexln wasn't surprised overly that his dark firaga had not had much of an impact. The way that the man glowed, as well as the defensive technique he seemed to be using, suggested that he was going to be a tough one to bring down. Gexln expected the figure to endure through most of his attacks without much hope of offense, so what Eon did next surprised Gexln very much so. As the attack came spinning down towards him, he realized he had to react quickly. If that attack hit, it would certainly hit hard. Gexln threw himself to the side out of desperation, crashing to the ground as he did so. "Ouch, that hurt more than I thought it would" he commented as he skidded along the ground a few feet. Caleb sat down on the ground a distance away from where Kaxar and Satsujin stood. He had done what he could to teach Kaxar defense, now it was Satsujin's turn to help the girl with offense, something that Caleb himself had no idea how to teach. Maybe if he paid close enough attention to what Satsujin said, he could pick up a few new tricks of his own. Maybe, but he didn't have much hope for that. "I gave up the sword" Kaxar responded. What Satsujin said next made sense; if she chose to give up the sword, then all out offense probably wouldn't be the best idea. She had to find a way to mix it up, using a little magical power every now and then. Would she be able to replicate what she had done in her dive to the heart? She wouldn't try it, she didn't want to hurt Satsujin accidentally. Instead, she calmly pointed her keyblade at Satsujin. Concentrating on her element, Kaxar did her best to tap into that power and use it, releasing a couple of small beams of light that flew towards Satsujin.
"Yeah well I took out most of the shadows!" Glen replied as Karina took out the last of the shadows. The Assault Rider was almost gone, and he was going to change that almost to just completely gone. With a flick of the wrist, he flipped his keyblade upside down so that he was holding it by the tip, and then he hurled it at the Assault Rider, strike-raid style, and vanquished it in one not-so-graceful movement. "AND got that Assault Rider!" Glen exclaimed, surviving the ambush and laying claim to most heartless defeated. x0 heartless remain.
Glen parried an attack as the Assault Rider tried to strike him. The heartless was quite savage, that was for sure. Out of the corner of his eye Glen saw Karina taking out more heartless. I'd better step up my game he thought to himself. "Hey Karina, slow down won't you? How am I going to surpass you if you keep killing those little things?" he asked, half joking. He turned his attention back to the Assault Rider. "Alright heartless, it's just you and me. Mano on...er...thingo" he said as he swung at the heartless once more. x4 shadow heartless remain x1 assault rider remains
Glen saw Karina defeat the Assault Rider. Well, there was absolutely no way he was going to let Karina show him up. He wanted to be as strong as he could possibly be, if he allowed Karina to defeat more heartless then how would he ever be stronger? He whirled into action once more, slashing in a 360 degree arc and taking out four shadow heartless in one strike, before turning to look at the last Assault Rider. "I hate to put a good horse down, but I don't have much of a choice" he said, showing a sense of grim humour. He struck out at the Assault Rider, hitting it in its center before he leaped back a little bit and put himself in a defensive stance, prepared for any counterattack that may come his way. x8 Shadows remain x1 Assault Rider remain
Gexln was surprised the moment he saw Unbound be summoned. He knew that keyblade from his days as a somebody, the people he had once fought with had used it. He knew that whoever used it was going to be hard to bring down with the keyblade's ability. The second he saw the man use steel guard, he began running towards the man. "You'll tell us what we need to know!" he shouted, firing off a double dark firaga at the figure.
