Gexln looked down at the injury as it was healing. The wonders of healing magic never ceased to amaze him. He almost wish he knew it himself, really. Remembering how he got the injury, he turned his head to the side, avoiding eye contact with Ananta. He knew he had placed himself in harm's way to protect Xero, and that was how he got it, but he had never liked admitting he could be injured. "I got stabbed through the chest while I was trying to fight off hundreds of keyblade wielders" Gexln stated. It was true, sort of, he really had been fighting off hundreds if not thousands of keyblade wielders under Xindai's control, he just hadn't been doing it alone.

The Nobody shifted around a little where he was sitting, trying to make himself a little more comfortable. "I do know Xepphiras, kinda. All I know is she seems into R, and he doesn't seem to mind. She's helped us out in a couple of fights too, but other than that she doesn't seem to do a lot" he said, answering her question.

At her last comment though, about Nobodies and darks not being so bad, he did turn back to face her. "A...friend of mine once told me, just because a person is affiliated with the darkness, doesn't make them bad. It's how you use it that determines who you are" the Nobody of the Dark said, a slight tone of sadness in his voice as he thought of Kaxar. The loss of her still stung as much as if it had happened just moments ago. "There was a time, shortly after I became a Nobody..I couldn't control my own darkness, and I killed just for the hell of it. Those were dark times, no pun intended, and to some extent I regret them, but I've come to accept it's just who I am" the man said, showing just the slightest hint of remorse.

Gexln frowned as he was being carried. How was she strong enough to carry him? Mystics weren't that strong surely? "Ananta I'm injured not crippled, I can walk on my own" he said, beginning to squirm. However, the healer's grip was as strong as her determination, and he found himself unable to get out. He turned his attention to Xero as he was being carried. "Xero, this is Ananta. My other used to know her, waaaaay back when. She's still" he said, making another attempt to get free. No dice. "as stubborn as she used to be, clearly" he said, giving up and letting himself slump over her shoulder. There was no getting out of this situation, it seemed.

Darius looked at his brother for a moment. They had both failed. He had lost his prey, and Damion had lost their meal. "He was a fast one. I slowed down momentarily and he escaped, but we will find him, and it will not happen again. The next time I find him, I will tear him apart limb from limb and feast upon him" he said with a sinister tongue. He waited for a moment before continuing. "So, where will we start our hunt?" he asked.

After all the confusion, mostly made by the stranger just suddenly appearing -how did he even do that?- inside of his home, Caleb tried to piece things together. So, in response to him freeing Oerva and the other slaves, Damnation had taken a hostage? Either he could turn himself in, or he could in fact do what had been suggested by the lunatic and actually try to break Doku out. Either way, there were risks. If he turned himself in there was every chance Damnation could just simply kill him outright, and if they attempted to rescue Doku there was a possibility she could be hurt. He turned to look at Stephen. He was the strategist, he was the intellect there, he would know the answer, wouldn't he?

Stephen was attempting to read Beuce's mind. So far, he was struggling immensely. He could hear nothing, he could find no memories, no thoughts, not even basic information like his age, who was this guy? It was like there was nothing at all! "Nothing at all..." was that an echo? "Was that an echo?" Stephen was about to give up, but then at last he heard something that was not the echo of his own thoughts. "....cheeeeeeeeeese" it was nothing vitally important, but it was progress. Getting out of the mind of the one he would forever think of as The Abyss, Stephen turned his attention to the situation at hand.

"I propose a rescue. Getting yourself captured would only slow us down, Caleb, so if we are to save the female, which I by no means think is necessary, then the direct approach would be most appropriate. The bumbling fool is right, we should go in there and break her out ourselves. I have neither the time nor information at my disposal to compose a strategy to do this, so instead I will accompany you. With my telepathy, we should be able to detect and engage any potential threats oncoming and bring them down swiftly" Stephen explained. "I will tell Arioch to wait outside, prepared to stop any from following us if needs be, and if everything goes according to my calculations, we should be fine. When you are ready, we can depart" the telepath stated.

Glen continued running, not slowing down for a second. From the echoes of the tunnel, he faintly heard Kaida calling out. "I'll be fine once the coward is dead!" he called back. There was no way he was going to stop or slow down, no way he would forgive Vanitas. A much darker side of Glen was being shown, but he didn't care. All he cared about and all he wanted, was the death of Vanitas. Nothing else mattered, at that point.

Dain watched as the wind whistled through his hair, as the ground came rushing faster and faster towards them. An evil, sadistic grin appeared on the axe-wielder's face, as he did indeed make a gust of wind beneath them, but only beneath himself and India. He slowed his descent and landed lightly on the ground, laughing horribly as Dmitri and Noir fell to the ground with a sickening splat, undoubtedly dead.

...is what he would have loved to do. However, despite everything he wanted Dmitri to survive. He would fight Dmitri, and he would kill him in mortal combat eventually, not through letting him fall to his death. Noir, however, well he could survive for as long as Dain decided. Eventually he knew his bloodthirsty side would kick in, and then bam, no more Noir. "Listen, crybaby, if you think you're going to beat me in a race, you've got another thing coming" the axe-wielder responded. Considering it was Dain speaking, that was almost a friendly way of saying "you're on", in his own special way. He continued flying towards the ground, the wind whistling through his hair as the ground came faster towards him, but rather than leave them all to die, he made a strong gust of wind beneath them. Not strong enough to propel them away, but enough to slow their fall. He landed on the ground carefully and stood straight, turning to look up at Dmitri. "See, I told you. You're way too slow. No wonder you're so weak, things could run circles around you" he taunted.

Glen got out of the water quickly the moment Vanitas disappeared with Gothel. That was the guy he had gone after in the castle of dreams. He had been a coward then by fleeing, and he was now abducting peoples' mothers? He had to be stopped, he would be taken down. There was no doubt Etrius, Cat, and Kaida would go after Vanitas as well, but even if they didn't Glen had every intention of going on.

Glen knew very well what it felt like, knowing your parents were in a lot of danger, believing that they may very well die. It was a feeling he could not forget, and didn't like to think about. "I'll kill him.." the keyblade wielder said, slowly and in a tone that made him sound very much like someone of the darkness, rather than that of the light. A very serious expression on his face, he began running back towards the tunnel, barely even looking at the others as he went. The blood of Vanitas was the only thing on his mind as he ran, no longer concerned about anything else as he went.

Glen held his left hand up. "Fine, but don't blame me if Rapunzel gets kidnapped or something" he said gruffly, as he took a quick glance around. It seemed nobody was watching, or at least nobody that hadn't already seen them use magic. Keeping that in mind, Glen released a small fireball. Not enough to set the whole lantern enough, but he did put a small flame within it. "Go ahead and let it go now if you want" the keyslinger said. He wasn't too fussed over the lantern, he was still trying to think of ways to jog Kaida's memory.

Gexln stepped up beside Xero. "Yeah, it should buy us some at least, maybe some of them would know how to forge the x-blade too!" he said. He was about to continue, before a terrifying thought crept in. While he didn't look exactly like his other, he did share some similarities, possibly enough to be mistaken for him. His other had made trouble in several worlds, in between drunken antics and just generally being stupid. Perhaps going back to the worlds wasn't such a good idea after all. "...although I'm sure R will find something in the books. Can't rely too much on the x-blade though, maybe we should try and come up with some plan just in case it fails. We brought down Ansem and Xindai, how hard could these two agents be? You guys didn't have me with you before, we can bring it down for sure" he said, attempting to convince people to go with a different plan. He was in no hurry to return to the worlds he had visited in the past.

Juliet continued walking along, towards the village center. Already, she could see some of the villagers, huddled in a circle discussing something. What was going on, she wondered? Normally the village was peaceful and worry-free, or at least they had been the last time she had been there. Had something happened while she was gone? Picking up the pace, she broke into a run as she began hurrying towards the large group, hoping against hope that something hadn't happened.

If Stephen was surprised by the sword, he didn't show it. He neither feared death, nor Valinton. He did, however, stop leaning against the wall and now stood straight with his hand by his blade, ready to draw and attack should it be needed. Valinton was starting to get more aggressive and yell louder, which could easily lead into a full on confrontation. He would have rathered avoid any sort of conflict so as to get through and achieve his goal quicker, but that possibility seemed to be falling further and further away.

Caleb got off the bed and stood up straight now, now within arm's reach of Valinton. He was not intimidated by the draconic mutant, but he didn't want to get into a fight, either. However, if it came down to it, he would place himself away from Oerva to avoid any chance of her being harmed. "Calm down. If someone is truly in danger because of me, as you claim, I will go with you as you request. Explain things to me first, though, so I can be sure you aren't lying" the boy said to Valinton. He would not back down, but if it turned out the mutant was indeed telling the truth, Caleb would feel obligated to take the place of whoever was suffering because of him. Nobody deserved to be punished for another's actions, especially when those actions were giving people freedom.

Stephen stood still in the doorway, his arms crossed as he leaned against the wall. He had his eyes closed, but from the thoughts in the room he had a rough idea of where everybody was. As he heard the metal scraping against the ground, he still remained perfectly still. If Valinton even thought of attacking Caleb, he could prevent it with relative ease, so there wasn't much worry. From the thoughts he could hear coming from Caleb, he got the idea Caleb was going to fight back, to try and get to his blades before Valinton's got to his face. That could, and would, cause problems.

"Caleb, don't bother. If he was going to kill you, he wouldn't have stopped so close to you. He has something important you need to hear, so do as he says. And you" Stephen said, speaking to Valinton, "put away that blade. I already told you, I'm a telepath. He will do as you say, but you will do as I say, or else you will find that blade inserted in a very awkward place for you, making it very difficult to sit down. Am I clear?" he questioned, growing tired of the mutant's stubbornness very quickly.

Caleb stopped. As usual, Stephen had known exactly what he was thinking. He had nearly gotten used to what it was like not having someone in his head all the time. Nearly. He looked at the girl laying next to him, not quite sure what he was going to do about her. Would Valinton try to take her back? Caleb clenched his fist a little. He wouldn't let her. He didn't care whether Stephen heard that or not. He respected the telepath, but he was by no means a slave. He sat up quietly. What a rude awakening this was. "You would kill a man while he's unarmed and half asleep? What do you need to tell me?" he questioned.

Upon arriving at the docks near Kaida and Cat, Glen also noticed Flynn and Rapunzel in the center of the lake. At first he assumed he was taking Rapunzel to get closer to the lights, all alone and isolated in the middle of that lake. However, the more he thought about it, the less likely it seemed. He had mentioned a satchel several times, and he so far had shown little intentions of helping anyone aside from himself. So either he had had a miraculous change of heart, or he had done exactly what Glen had been worried he'd do earlier; wait for them to vanish and then make a move to get his things back.

"Lanterns be damned, look at them. Flynn's trying to extort information from Rapunzel, are we going to stand by and watch, playing with paper lanterns? Why else would he take her out of everybody's sight? Come on guys, I thought I was meant to be the dumb one around here" Glen said, before standing on the very edge of the docks. How would they reach him though? Glen was a very slow swimmer, by the time he got nearby it may be too late. He looked down into the water, seeing his own reflection. He didn't realize how much older he looked compared to when he had first set out on his own. Shrugging off the thought, Glen then turned around and shrugged his shoulders in front of the other party members. Without another word, he turned and dove into the water, before turning and looking at the others, waiting for them to follow.

Caleb stood still for a moment, fiery determination in his eyes. His allies had fled from this behemoth of a creature. He was staring at this creature sent from Kingdom Hearts itself to destroy them, would it follow them if they left to go with their allies? "No, I will not flee. I will fight this creature, and I will win. Help me, stay here and help me fight this monster. We will protect our allies, we will save them, and we WILL-" he was cut short as he felt a large impact hit the side of his head and he fell forwards, knocked unconscious.

Still holding Xero's hand, Gexln had stepped forward and viciously struck Caleb in the side of his head, knocking him out immediately. With the same hand, he caught Caleb and prevented him falling to the ground. He should have let him fall, risk dying, but if Gexln was going to kill Caleb, he would do it properly and in a trial of combat, not one of cowardice. "Save the dramatic speech for when others are around to hear it" the Nobody said quietly. He then turned to look at Xero. "Listen Xero, everything'll be okay, alright? We'll regroup with the others and they'll figure something out. It's R, he's always got a plan of some kind" Gexln said with a little confidence in his voice. He stood silently for a brief moment, attempting to track R, and the place he tracked him to surprised him; it was somewhere he had never been before, but had heard of many times.

Opening up a dark corridor after letting go of Xero's hand momentarily, he gave her a slight grin. "You know, a loooong time ago, I used to know a guy that had schizophrenia, and for some reason whenever the place we're about to go to was mentioned, he used to spout all kinds of nonsense. I mean, he used to do it anyway, but in particular when this place was mentioned. Never could figure it out, the guy was kinda..yeah, he was kind of a nutjob, no other way of putting it really" Gexln explained, attempting to distract Xero from the obvious peril in front of them. "Anyway, we should probably get going" he said, stepping through the dark corridor, carrying Caleb over his shoulder at the same time, and emerging right nearby R and the others. The look of shock at R's injury was apparent, but he found no words coming to his mouth. R had been injured, and it looked pretty bad. Just what had he missed?

Juliet stood in front of the gravestone. It was a grave that had been prepared by the village the day her mother had gone missing. Juliet knew she had gone looking for Glen, but the rest of the village had not. They had thought she had simply been abducted or killed, hence the gravestone.

"Here lies Kara Dawlistrus, daughter of Samantha and Joseph. May your light shine onwards always, guiding those who stray to the paths of darkness" Juliet read out loud, as a tear came to her eye. She knew Kara had not died on that day, and there was no body there underneath the grave, but she still knew very well that her mother was dead. She had seen the body herself, impaled by several blades right in front of her and her father. She still remembered the last thing her mother had said to her, clear as anything. She had been only eight at the time, such a young age for a mother to leave her.

A young, eight year old Juliet stood in front of Kara, her mother. The young child was the only one in the village that knew of what her mother was about to do, and she didn't like it one bit. She had never particularly liked her father. She knew next to nothing about his personality, but she knew that he had killed her mother's family before leaving both of them, leaving her to grow up without a dad. "But mom..why do you have to go?" Juliet asked. Her mother sighed and took a couple of steps over to the door, before turning to look at her daughter.

"Your father, he did some horrible things, but he was always looking out for me. He was..different. When someone was picking on me, he was there to stop it. For all his faults, he did truly care about me. And besides, don't you want a father anyway?" Kara asked her child. The response she got was a grumpy shake of the head from little Juliet. "I don't need him. I have you, we can stay here forever and ever and not ever have to leave! I can take care of us, you'll see" the girl protested. A slight laugh could be heard from Kara as she simply looked at her daughter. Juliet probably had no idea, but she was so very much like her father in so many ways. Perhaps that was also why she was going to leave. The two would get along so well, she thought. Juliet, Glen, and herself together. A family. The family Glen had never had, the one he had told her he one day wanted to have.

"I don't doubt you could. I've brought you up well, taught you a lot of things, and you probably could protect us here, you're a strong little one. When I was little, I made a promise to your father though. I promised him i'd always be there for him, and I'm not going to back out on this promise now. I love you, Juliet, but I really do have to go get him. You need your father more than you know" Kara explained calmly. A slight creaking sound was heard as she opened the door and stepped out. Juliet couldn't help but let out a small whimper. "But I don't want you to go.." she said quietly. Kara turned around and gave a warm, promising smile. "I'll go get your daddy, and then we'll be a family again. I won't be long, just you wait. I'll be back before you know it, so you be a good little girl while I'm gone" Kara said, now walking out the door and beginning her journey.

Yet another tear hit the ground as Juliet thought of those last moments. Kara had never come back, she had not returned like she had promised. Instead, the next time she had seen her were her last moments of life. She had loved her mother, and she missed her horribly. With a great struggle, Juliet forced her tears to stop and wiped them away with her elbow. Her mother wouldn't want her to cry, she would want her to be strong. She would be strong. Turning her back on the gravestone, Juliet began walking back towards the village center.

Glen seemed a little happier at Etrius' agreeing. Now, whether Cat agreed or not, the majority of them wanted to go! He nearly gave a little leap for joy. Nearly. He was going to help a princess reunite with her parents! For once, he'd actually do something right! He started to go away from the group, but quickly came back as he realized something very important. "Lauriam, where do they release the lanterns from?" he questioned.

Gexln caused his keyblade to vanish, and lowered Darkness' Sorrow. The deed was done. Natana was dead, and her victims had been avenged. Never again would she harm anyone, never again would she hurt those close to Xero. Satisfied, Gexln opened a dark corridor, one that lead through and back to the cave they had all been in before. "Don't think for a second this means i've forgiven you" he said to Caleb before stepping through.

Emerging back in the keyblade graveyard, Gexln was confused to see that everyone had seemingly disappeared and a gigantic creature was now rampaging around, destroying terrain and the area around itself. For all his confidence in himself, there was absolutely no way Gexln was going to try to fight that thing alone, at least not without being fully prepared first. He noticed Xero and quickly ran over. "Where'd everyone else go?" he asked, getting straight to the point.

His blades falling to the ground as Natana's body did, Caleb acknowledged that the battle was over. This was the first time he had killed someone in the name of justice, and while it wasn't a good feeling, he did realize it was what, in his mind, had to be done. He stepped over the body and looked at the corridor Gexln had made. When he left that place, he was leaving behind a truly evil creature, somebody that had betrayed her allies, tried to murder in cold blood, and caused much disarray, however..she had also caused him to work with the one that had slaughtered all of his family and friends. Had he forgiven Gexln? No, but he at least had no desire to kill the Nobody. With this in mind, he stepped through the corridor only to see Omega stomping around, and Gexln and Xero nearby. "Where are the others?" he asked, slight panic in his voice as he asked Xero.

Juliet was in her village now. Everything was just how she remembered it, from the small, worn down houses to the dead grass everywhere. How long had it been since she had left this place, a couple of years hadn't it? The path she was walking along lead straight to the village center, where she would undoubtedly be recognised by the village elders. First, before that thought, she had something she had to do. Someone she had to say goodbye to. Turning away from the path she was on, she made a quick detour and began running in the direction of the graveyard.

Dain walked over and looked over the edge. Leaping off of that thing, even with his wind magic it would still be fairly risky. Would he do it? Of course he would, he loved just about every aspect of dangerous situations. The adrenaline rush, the feeling of freedom, everything. He rolled his eyes a little at Noir's comment, though. He was probably right, Dmitri's help would make it a lot easier, but working with him? He'd rather the parachute burn up and he fall to his death, and who was to say Dmitri wouldn't do that anyway?

"Gimme that" he said as he walked over to India and tore a portion of the cloth off, just enough for it to function as a parachute. "No way am I working with him, he set me on fire. Besides, his tears over his lost sister would probably soak the 'chutes too much for them to let us float" he said, making sure to throw in that last remark as he ran at the edge and leapt off of it.

Darius was fuming. He had lost his prey, and wasted a lot of time chasing after him. Not only was he fuming, but he was hungry again. He made the decision to find his brother and regroup to see what he had to say. Who knew, maybe his brother would still have that human with him, maybe he would let him eat her. Oh he certainly hoped he would let him eat her. Moving along, he began wandering back towards where his brother had been seen last.

Stephen turned for a moment and looked at Valinton. For a moment, he nearly broke his emotionless expression to unleash an unholy bout of sarcasm, but he resisted the urge to do so. Whether or not he was known as a telepath was not particularly important at that point, but it would do no harm to have it known either. It may also have been the only way to convince Valinton, possibly. Because I am a user of the Spirox, and I can pry into your mind at any moment. Continue inside, please Stephen sent telepathically to Valinton, hoping to convince him.
