"Yeah, I've got good intentions. Wouldn't be here if I didn't. I wanted to continue my training as a keyblade wielder, but there was slightly more than that. My father, he was a strong warrior. Weren't many people alive that could take him, and those that could struggled immensely. I want to be strong, I want to be like that. If I can be that strong, I'd never have to fear the heartless again, and there would be nothing stopping me from protecting those that are dear to me" Glen said, the pain of the past still hurting as though it were only yesterday it had happened. "He died believing that, y'know? Died trying to protect those he cared about. If I ever find the heartless that killed him, it's going to die, but it's going to die very slowly and painfully" he stated. "Anyway, the point i'm trying to make, is if I let something happen to blondie over there, someone who seems to genuinely have good intentions despite her abusive nature with a frying pan, I'll keep them safe. Rider can get bent, he tried to screw me over, if he's in danger he's going to have to get himself out though. And if we do see a princess, I'll be sure to keep her safe too" Glen finished at last. He didn't like being this serious, not at all. It was somewhat rare he was this serious, but he often became this way when reminded of his past. With that being said, Glen began heading back over to Rapunzel and Flynn.
Glen ignored the look from Etrius. Regardless of the fact that Etrius had turned out to be right, Glen still had a firm belief that the boy was insane. Striding over to Kaida, Cat, and Etrius now, he felt he should say something in that particular situation. "Etrius, calm yourself man. Look at her, does she look like she is from this world?" he questioned. He decided to address the rest of the things that Kaida said, however. "Who cares if we're messing with this 'order' of the world? We're just trying to do what's right, why would we need authorization to do that? Do we need permission to help somebody out? If you're really searching for some kind of threat, stop looking at us, we're no danger to you. I mean seriously, there's a damn thief just over there!" Glen cried out, not liking the accusations being thrown at them. He turned away from the girl, back to her. "I might not be the brightest person, but even I can see when somebody is doing good things. If you wanna help us go ahead, but if you don't then just get out of our way and let us do our thing" the boy said. He spoke in an incredibly serious tone, mostly because he was incredibly serious. The way Kaida spoke, about authority and making it seem as though they were in the wrong, it reminded him too much of home. Too much of a world where people did not realize just how important the things he had done were, too much of a time where he was looked down upon merely for being him. He loathed most aspects of that world, and had thought to leave them behind, and now suddenly this stalker just pops up out of nowhere and he was meant to just go along with whatever she said? No way, things were not going to work that way.
Are you posting now in SOS Cstar? I was going to respond as Glen atm before going to bed
Gexln was about to go and attack Omega, to begin the battle of a lifetime, but a sound that resembled both coughing and weezing caught his attention. What was that noise? He spun around and tried to listen for where it was. Towards the end of the cave, he was sure of it. Going further into it, he was certainly not expecting what he found. Two bodies, Valinton and Kaya, were on the ground..lifeless. He stooped low for a moment, kneeling beside the two. The wounds looked as though they had had something ripped from them, as though a chunk of them were missing, but who could have done that? Though the bodies were lifeless, he could smell the darkness that had been inside of them, the darkness reeked around their body like a foul, horrible stench. His nose wrinkled slightly. He had smelt it before, it was that girl. The one that had gone missing after it. Silently, Gexln knelt there for a moment. He hadn't been particularly fond of Kaya, but she had fought just as hard as everybody else in the war, only to end like this? It was terrible. And then there was Valinton. He himself hadn't expected him to come along when encountering him in timeless river, but from what he could tell, he had been somewhat of a friend to Xero. It was this thought he dwelled on the most. After what she had been through, after what they had all been through, she now had to come to terms with this? No, the killer would pay. The killer, Natana, would die. Caleb, too, heard the wheezing and coughing, shortly before silence. Like Gexln, he went back into the cave, only to discover the corpses of two of the dark warriors. He knew immediately who had done it. Remembering the look on Natana's face as she attacked Valinton earlier, the determination she had showed and..enjoyment? He would not forget that anytime soon. Caleb took a step towards Gexln. What he was about to do, he would never mention again. Despite being almost even with Gexln, he still loathed the idea of working with the one that had killed his friends and family. As much as he disliked working with him though, he had seen Gexln open portals to the realm of darkness, the same portals he had seen Natana open. Like it or not, he needed the darkness warrior. The boy stopped in front of Gexln, who was now standing up. The two looked each other in the eye, neither knowing what the other was thinking, until finally Caleb spoke. "Your allies were killed, by the same one who was threatening your daughter's life earlier. I'm not going to ask you to do anything, this is not the time for mere requests" he began. Taking a step closer to the Nobody now, Caleb could feel the breath on his face from standing that close. "Take me to her" he ordered.
Was going to post in SOS, but it's 2am here and I'm tired as hell. Figure even if I post now, it'll only count for the 4th for me, so i'll post...
Gexln did not let Xero go, not for a second, as R began the consumption of Ansem. He held onto her tightly, not willing to release his grip on her as he danced out of the way of them. As each strand of shadow lurched forward for Xero, he would nimbly leap out of the way of it. It wasn't too much of a challenge, for although having Xero with him slowed him down, his speed was still extremely high. Another strand dodged, until finally R seemed to have finished. He vanished from the platform as it began filling up with the shadow. Although, Gexln now had a new worry; how would Xero get out? He was fairly certain he could leave if he willed it, but she wouldn't be able to do it unconscious, would she? Facing this threat, Gexln made a decision there and then. There was no way of telling what would happen if the shadows overran them, but if Xero was going to be consumed by them, then they were going to have to get through one stubborn protector. Reverting back into his regular form so that he could better channel the darkness, he held Xero tightly. "I'm not going to leave you behind. Not now, not ever" he said quietly to her as did his best to wrap himself around her. He couldn't cover her completely, but it was the best he could do. He could feel the shadows travelling up his body, getting closer and closer to the very core of his being, wrapping themselves around his soul as it began getting a hold of him. Slowly but surely, they were getting the better of him, and just as they were about to overtake him completely, he woke up. With a start, Gexln sat up. He had seemingly fallen onto the ground after going into the dive to the heart. Quickly, he began looking around for a sign of Xero. At last, he saw her, and with that realization came a huge sigh of relief from the darkness wielder. He wanted to lay down, to relax and call it a day, but there was no break in war. Hearing the sounds of people talking, he glanced over his shoulder and saw at the entrance, a group of people standing there, and some giant..thing in the background. Caleb was also there. At the mere sight of Caleb, Gexln felt his blood start to boil. Oh how he wanted vengeance, to crush him there and then, but the creature in the background looked exceptionally imposing, and Juliet seemed to be okay with Caleb being there. If she was alright with him, then he would hold back his anger for that moment. He, too, walked over and grabbed Darkness' Sorrow off the ground, before joining the others, and held it out. "Sooner we kill that thing, the sooner we can get back to killing those of the light, right? I'm going to slaughter a giant" Gexln said confidently.
Glen walked along, towards the Snuggly Duckling, or at least where he thought it would be. He couldn't help but think "**** you Base" as he walked. The keyblade wielder had no idea why he had that particular thought, it just sort of..appeared in his head as he walked. Why did they even have to go to the Snuggly Duckling? Surely if they wanted to get to the 'floating lights' it would be much faster to travel via keyblade glider, wouldn't it? "Blondie, what would you say to the idea of travelling a little faster? I have a method of travel that would speed this trip up tenfold" he suggested.
Yes to battle, kick its ass.
Zane nodded his head. "Whatever kind of heartless that was that sent us here, I don't think it went away. Should probably regroup with the others and find a way to bring it down. I mean, heartless do give us a way to practice our fighting skills, but when you can take them out and save people that's what we do" he said with a slight laugh. Heaving the massive great sword to his side, he held out a hand to Tyson. "Anyway, nice to meet you, Tyson. My name's Zane. Zane Wynter" he said, introducing himself. Spoiler: BGM in Dain's head The reaction Dain had got was interesting, to say the least. Most people would be intimidated or frightened by Dmitri's outburst, but the reaction only caused him to want to piss him off more. He was close to getting his fight with Dmitri, he could feel it. India had told them off for going at each other's throats, and as much as Dain had to admit it he was right. He loved pissing people off, but he liked massacre even more, so the possibility of increasing the speed at which his axe brought death was a very, very appealing one. A few axe swings later using the wind slash technique, Dain had taken down a few more heartless, three in total. A smirk appeared on his face as he relished in the killing, in the sheer massacre. It was glorious. Only a few left now, the boy made the decision to do as India suggested and attempt to capture one of the heartless. He leaped into the air and began swinging his axe at the heartless, faster and faster and watching as the creature continued to hop backwards, dodging the strikes. This was part of Dain's plan. With each swing, the heartless got closer to the wall, until eventually it was backed up. A sadistic smile appeared on the axe-wielder's face. "Nowhere to run now" he said in a voice that made him seem a little too keen on the fight. He lunged for the heartless, and it did try to dodge but it had nowhere to go, and right away Dain's arms wrapped around the creature and restrained it. It constantly struggled, even doing small bites at times, but Dain took the damage and held his ground. "Alright where do we put these?" he asked.
Gexln stopped for a brief moment as Ansem made his threat. Partially out of concern for Xero, and partially because of the mental war going on within him. He wanted to play it cautiously and save Xero, while the darkness inside was steadily pushing to slaughter everyone inside, to do nothing but destruction. After a moment, Gexln came to a realization. "You destroy her, and you'll have no host left, you'll just cease to exist" he stated simply. Despite believing he had found a flaw in Ansem's threat, there was still the chance that he could outright kill Xero anyway. The solution here was simple, but to pull it off another problem altogether. Utilising his speed, Gexln dashed forward once again at that ludicrous speed, and ran a quick circle around Ansem, firing off dark firaga shots as he did so and being careful he didn't hit Xero with them. He took the opportunity of distraction and made a grab for Xero, with the intention of taking her and 'blinking' away to the end of the platform they were fighting on to get her out of harm's way.
Desperate as I am to have the posts count again (I can taste premiumship, literally but don't ask me how I know what that tastes like) I feel like, were every post in the RPA to count right now, this would be blatantly abused.
Glen didn't flinch when Etrius's eyes turned red, and he found no fear in the words he spoke. Glen may have not been the most intelligent person, but he held no fear of the darkness whatsoever. He was confident in his skills as a keyblade wielder, and the only thing Etrius' reaction achieved was making him want to push his buttons more. "Gets offended at being called a nutjob, so first thing he does is goes bipolar and threatens an ally, because only the most sane people do that" Glen said sarcastically to nobody in particular. He noticed Cat and Etrius walk off towards the clearing, and decided he should give them notification if he planned to leave. "Yo Cat and Captain Emo, I'm gonna help blondie and the thief go to the snuggly duckling now okay?" he called out to them. With a slight chuckle, the boy turned his attention back to Maximus, Rapunzel and Flynn. "Lead the way" he said, with a mock bow added to the end for drama. If Cat didn't follow, he would probably turn back so he didn't leave her behind. After all, despite their slight disagreements she was part of the team. Etrius? In Glen's eyes, he was around the same level of importance to him as Flynn was, and should have considered himself lucky Glen didn't punch him with that idle threat of his that he had made.
Do not like one bit. It's just another reminder that I'm yet to hit prem because of rp posts not counting :(
I am in future timezone. Aka AEST
Caleb stirred slightly in his sleep. Lazily, he opened one eye. He was very tired, so he moved slowly, but after a few moments he did acknowledge Oerva. With a soft sigh and a short nod of the head, he rolled over further to one side of the bed, leaving plenty of room for Oerva. He said nothing, merely yawning as he began drifting off back into a deep slumber, where he would lie until the dawn arrived. Stephen Castra wandered the Outskirts, his mind open and constantly searching for a certain person's presence. He had not personally met the one he was searching for, but he was sure he would know her when he saw her. Why he was searching for her was simple. He was a man of peace, ultimately, and he believed that peace did not come easily, and many lives would have to be sacrificed for it. He had heard of a group, a group that was more than a little on the darker side of peace, and so long as they existed the wars and battles would never end. So, he was searching for one that could be the one of the first of many that could perhaps turn the tides in his favor. Days earlier, he had approached another individual, one who had similar ideals to him, and formed a mental link with them, and he sought to do the same to this other individual. As he walked, he thought of the rumors. Supposedly, the one he had sought was one of the first to be discovered with the Spirox gene, and one of the dangerous ones. If the stories were true, which he suspected they were due to what people had told him under his 'guidance', the woman not only lost control of her powers many years before, but also burnt down a large area as she did so. Such power wasn't exactly uncommon, but she had done it by accident. What could she do if she tried? He wondered. A few seconds later, and suddenly- there! He could feel her presence! It was warm, and almost inviting, yet held a hesitant edge to it. Hello, Weaver of Flame. You are most likely wondering who I am, why I am here and the like. My name is Stephen Castra, and I am here to return you to the civilization you fled to, so that it may be changed for the better. Stephen sent telepathically to the woman. Along with that message, he sent various images of people being tortured, innocent people being killed and eaten, and an image of the slave auction being disrupted, in the hopes of convincing her.
Juliet paused. Natana had left, but not before taunting them. Whether she had left because she was outnumbered, because she was simply bored, or because of the appearance of Omega she would never know, but one thing was certain; eventually, she would suffer. If Juliet ever saw her again, there would be no holding back, Natana would go down and she would go down fast. Turning to look back now, she could see the huge behemoth known as Omega. She nodded at Xepphiras. "I will fight with you, to hold that thing off long enough for my father and R to finish" she said, stating her intentions. Caleb was very quiet. He had not expected Natana to flee as she did, yet he was not entirely surprised. Had she stayed, she would have surely been beaten. He had every belief that she would return though, and he would be ready. No amount of time would cause him to forgive or forget, and he would be there when she surfaced again, ready to put an end to her. He stepped forward and stood alongside Xepphiras and Juliet, ensuring his blades were easy to see. "My blade is at your service. I fight with you, children of darkness, but this does not at all mean we are allies. Darkness took everything from me, I will not give it the chance to do so again" he said. He closed his eyes for a moment. "But, I will not allow the blood of innocents to be spilled here, and I will do my best to bring that creature down" he stated simply. Gexln stared simply at Ansem, no joking expression on his face whatsoever. "I know we don't match you, Ansem. We surpass you. We may rely on darkness as much as you do, but unlike you, we use it to protect the things that matter, not just to screw with people" he said. As the orbs came flying at him, he got ready to block them, but was yet again saved by someone else, R blocking many of the orbs with his own. The few that remained, Gexln dodged with his increased speed. Ansem, for his fragile appearance, had been surprisingly hard to hit. Only something faster would stand a chance of defeating him. The only thing he could think of was his True Dark Mode, the form that had ultimately caused Glen to lose his heart to the darkness. Entering True Dark Mode could very well leave him unable to revert back, temporarily or possibly even permanently, but there wasn't much of a choice. He had to choose between risking his own existence, or Xero guaranteed to lose hers. Were it anyone else, he wouldn't take the risk, but Xero wasn't an ordinary person, not to him. He glanced over his shoulder at R for a moment. "R, I'm about to take a risk. If it pays out, this guy's going to get his ass kicked and Xero's going to be fine, but if it doesn't..I could lose myself to the darkness. If that happens, I don't care what you have to do, but bring me down. This isn't me asking, this is me telling you what to do. You might be the leader of us, but when it comes to Xero you don't get to decide her fate at all, got that?" he said. He was showing disrespect and he knew that, but he cared very little at this point. The next thing that happened was a blur to the Nobody of the Dark. One moment he was in Anti-Form, the next a small black cloud appeared and from out of it stepped a slightly different looking Gexln. Completely black in skin colour, and with glowing red eyes, he now radiated dark fumes from himself. As he spoke, his voice came out altogether more distorted. As though it wasn't just Gexln speaking, but some creature of undeniable evil. "Hope you've written a will, you're gonna need it" he said. In the blink of an eye, Gexln moved with godlike speed, appearing to simply teleport to Ansem but had in fact simply ran there, before lashing out with roughly thirty strikes with the dark claws in the span of a few seconds. One thing was certain about True Dark Mode; it hit hard, and his speed was faster than the eye could comprehend, but should he be hit with any kind of light attack, he would go down exceptionally fast.
