Skadi used the orb.
The next to emerge from the reverse tardis was a small brownish orangish...thing. A small creature, no larger than a football really. He was a fusion of a poro and a very dangerous bug, as had been decided by a power beyond even Hunter's control. This was Huntix, the mightiest animal in the savannah. In an attempt to prove his dominance, Hunter flapped his tiny wings and leaped onto the rock in front of them. Crouching down on the rock, Huntix let out an empowering and intimidating roar that in his mind could be heard across the entire savannah, but in reality only came out as a high pitched squealing noise. Once that was done, the poro jumped off the rock and landed beside Beucegar. Huntix glared at Beucegar intesely, developing an inexplicable hatred for him in an instant, and found himself wishing he could simply eat the cat and gain access to his fourth evolution. In an attempt to do so, he dove for Beucegar, but due to not being used to his weight or limited strength, the murderous poro found himself flying straight past Beucegar, crashing and skidding along the ground, and causing a small cut to appear on his back. Juliet listened carefully to what Freya said. She hadn't been entirely convinced of Sapphire being corrupt when she had heard the rumours of the goddess abusing her power. She'd known enough to know that something was up, that they were more than likely going to be needed, but hadn't been sure of which side was the one that needed the help. She nodded after Freya finished talking. "I wasn't sure before, but if what you say is true...well, it's a good thing we came back. Once we've made a search of this place that seems genuine enough to convince that other guy" she said, motioning towards Ohm, "then we'll go back to meet with the others. I'll have a talk with Caleb, we'll see if we can figure something out. Don't worry about it for the moment, we won't let them kill Sapphire" Juliet said, doing her best to reassure Freya.
Sven winced in pain as the chains hit his leg but didn't latch on. It hurt a lot, but he grit his teeth and put up with it. Cierra was trying, and he wasn't going to show weakness in front of her if he could help it. As she spoke, he let out a sigh. "Cierra, how many times do I have to tell you? I'm not your ma-" he started, before the chains wrapped around his leg and he found himself pulled off his feet, falling onto his back with a soft thump. He laid on the ground for a moment in shock. She'd actually managed to catch him off guard. Standing up, he dusted himself off quickly and then looked at Cierra once again. "That was good. If you do something like that, they'll never be able to stop us. They'll pay for what they-" "Greetings. Am I interrupting anything?" Sven turned around to see that somebody new had entered the scene. Feminine looking, but didn't look exactly human. Didn't matter either way. "What's it matter to you? Keep going, I'm trying to keep my friend alive, go find someone else to bother" Sven said rather rudely. Had it been any other time, maybe he wouldn't have been so harsh, but they were preparing for something big, and something very dangerous, so there was no time to screw around. If Sebastian had a dollar for every time Tinarah said sorry, the boy would be rolling in money. Leaning back and using his hands to keep himself sitting up, he sat silently for a moment, taking it all in. He knew about Tinarah's nightmares, and after hearing what little information he got from Anthrax about that night, it wasn't surprising in the slightest that the girl was still having nightmares about it. "You haven't done anything to deserve to stay here? Well, I suppose that's true enough. Think of it like this though: you haven't done anything to not deserve to stay here. Do I seem like the kind of guy who would just leave an injured person out on the streets to you?" he asked, not really expecting a response. "Nightmares aren't something you can control. Even for you, I don't think there's anything you can do about them. There's always something people fear, and yours is understandable. I'm not going to throw you out of here, or even ask you to leave, just because you're traumatised from something that happened to you in the past. If I prevented people living here that had a painful past, neither myself, Anthrax, or you would be here" Sebastian said. He stood up now, and walked over towards the window. "Don't sweat it, Tinarah. If the thing that caused this pain shows itself around here, me and Anthrax'll take care of it" the boy promised. He then leaped out of the window and spread his wings, flying back to the top of the roof where he resumed his watch.
From behind the door, Blaze would have heard a loud groan the moment that he began knocking on the door. Nasir had gotten home a bit ago, counted his profit, and then gotten on his computer, where he'd been looking at the webpages of some of the clients, gone onto some lameass page called KHV (he'd lost interest in that in seconds though), and then gone over to his television where he had sat comfortably and started watching various slasher films. And then Blaze had started knocking, yelling out he had something he'd needed his help with. Boooooring. He'd then mentioned it wasn't legal, and there it was. Blaze knew how to get the man's attention. Walking over to the door, sounds could be heard of various unbolting as Nasir unlatched his door and took away the five security locks he had on it. In his business, it wasn't all too uncommon to get angry customers coming after him for revenge. In times like that, Nasir liked to call on his friend for backup. His friend had been loyal to him for years, never betraying him in the slightest. His friend, the RMB-93 pump action shotgun. "Illegal? Well, now you have my attention. Keep it quick, I'm busy. What the hell do you want?" the man asked, slightly irritated but also interested.
Dain's attempts to not laugh failed. He burst out laughing once more. "You will destroy me? Little dramatic don't you think? If you want respect, you'll have to earn it. And a little piece of advice; saying you're going to destroy me isn't a way to get that, it's-" he started, before Dmitri attacked. Dain never stopped watching Dmitri's eyes, watching the swordsman's gaze shift ever so slightly towards his leg. Dain managed to move his axe so that he blocked the leg sweep, and then simply stood there for just a second. "It's a way to get yourself embarassed when you talk yourself up, and then get knocked onto your ass" he taunted, responding with a swift but aggressive kick for Dmitri's stomach.
The spirit was putting up more of a fight than he had thought. He had managed to land a solid hit, and the thing was still standing! ...or floating, yeah floating seemed to be more fitting. Directly after the impact though, the spirit had outright screamed at him. It had opened its mouth and tiny blue laser things began assaulting Gaius' body, and immediately he felt a little cold, but it was nothing too bad. If the scream had seemed loud from the spirit he was facing, he had certainly not been expecting such a loud, high pitched scream from the one Mizuki's let out as it was practically cut in half. Poor spirit. Deciding to take the offensive once more, Gaius dashed forward. As he neared his spirit again, he tapped into his magic energy, and a fireball appeared around his fist, engulfing it in flame. Leaping up into the air, he hurled the fireball at the lost soul, engulfing it in a blazing inferno and causing the lost soul to fade away, unable to hold keep its spirit in the mortal realm any longer. Landing on his feet, Gaius let out a sigh of relief, before turning and hurrying to help the others. Gaius used fire! Something seemed...off about the way that the child reacted to her mother mentioning the book. Only moments earlier, she had thought of the kid as really happy, not seeming to be bothered by a curse or even show any signs of being cursed, but at the mere mention of a book that changed. It made Skadi wonder what the book was about. Walking over to Elayne, Skadi bent down until she was at eye level with the girl, before giving her a warm smile. "Hi Elayne, my name's Skadi. Skadi Wynter, like the snow. Could I please have a look at your book? I promise I'll be extra careful" she said, trying to sound as gentle and friendly as possible as she spoke. However, that was when Caliborn went downstairs, presumably to tell them of some kind of plan. "Just think about it. I'll be back in just a minute, okay?" she asked, once again being very gentle with how she spoke. Walking downstairs, she saw that Caliborn had pulled out a device and was asking if anyone wanted to use it. As she got down, she made her way over to Caliborn and reached out and took the device. "If it'll help, I'll use it. What do I have to do?" the girl asked, eager to help but not quite sure how to use the device.
I never used spheres to level up the aeons, I just powered up the living crap out of Yuna and that in turn powered them up, so I got the best of both worlds that way.
I beg to differ. I may have spent way, way, waaaaaay too long level grinding and killing things, but I got Bahamut to the point he was able to literally 1 shot the first stage of Jecht, and then damn near solo the 2nd. Level grinding is time consuming, but it works.
Mysterious Labyrinth One moment they were interrogating the butler, the next some guy ran through and shoved Mikasa out of the way. Some S class wizard right. Right after, spirit things came into the room, and some unknown force separated Gaius from the rest of them somehow. Apparently Mikasa couldn't do fight either, her secret weakness was doors like wow who could have seen that coming. The door knocked Mikasa out, so Gaius decided to knock the spirit out. He leaped at it and swung both his fists violently, using Quick Blitz.
I did it with a few other people the first time SOS did I'll Make a Man out of you.
Sebastian Abject sat on top of the roof of his home. He often sat there in that same pose, crouching and hunched over, simply watching people go by. It was an unhealthy habit, but one he couldn't help but control. Even in the mutant district, Sebastian felt out of place. Since the day he had become a mutant, he always had. As a human, he had fit in, but the moment the spirox gene backfired was the moment he no longer fit in. And so, there he was on the rooftop, simply watching people go about their ways, wondering if one day he would ever belong there. Probably not. Then again, there weren't too many people to watch. He was in a somewhat secluded part of the district, not directly away from everyone else, but it was one of the less popular parts, that was for sure. His thoughts were interrupted by a loud scream coming from the room beneath him. Tinarah's room. In an instant, Sebastian was moving. He ran to the other end of the roof, the side with Tinarah's window, and simply leaped off of it. Spreading his wings slightly as his feet left the building. Reacting quickly to himself now starting to fall, he reached below him and gripped the edge of the roof, digging his claws into it. Using the momentum, he swung himself overhead, flipping himself over the edge of the building and crashing into Tinarah's window, making sure to kick it open as he did so. Pulling his wings in close to his body once more, the boy then allowed himself to land on his feet and roll forward, removing any chance of injury. "Everything okay, Tinarah?" the avian asked, keeping his voice cool, calm and collected as he spoke. He then noticed her curled up position and straight away he had an idea of what had happened. "Is it the same nightmare this time, or a different one?" he asked gently, stepping over to her and sitting down next to the girl. Elsewhere, just outside of the Spirox district and in the wasteland was Sven Arch. He was with his close friend, Cierra, teaching her a few tricks on fighting. He wanted to make sure that she was ready. Sven had plans to navigate the wasteland and enter the human district and abduct one or two of the humans from there. He would abduct them, take them out to the heart of the wasteland, and then leave them there to die. It was cruel, and Sven knew it, but he didn't care too much, for he knew that what their kind had done to his brother was equally as cruel in his eyes. There would undoubtedly be resistance to them being taken, and that's what Sven was preparing Cierra for. "Alright Cierra, I want you to try to trip me over with those chains. Try to grab my legs and toss me aside. And don't hold back this time. I can handle the pain, I can't handle one of them escaping, or even worse; one of them killing you" Sven directed, bracing himself. He would genuinely try to avoid the chains hitting him, but he would make sure not to use his power. The humans didn't have powers of their own, and they were training, not simply fighting, so there was no sense in trying to break the chains with his bones.
Hunter Dain, Dane, Caleb, and Audrey Juliet Gexln Hunter stood there in shock. Beuce had failed to listen to him, and had seemingly decided to just go ahead and accept the date from Gwen. More importantly though, he had implied that Gwen wasn't the reason for women not throwing themselves at him. "What do you mean she isn't the reason? Of course she's the reason, why else would women not go for me?" Hunter asked, a slightly whiny tone to his voice. Perhaps it was his ego. Yeah, it was definitely his ego. Women just couldn't handle it, probably thought he was just that much cooler because of it. Damn, there wasn't much he could do about that ego; it was one of the drawbacks of being such an awesome character. But hey, that explained why Beuce got female attention from time to time, didn't it? "Welp, you carry on whoring yourself out Ginger. You can say that it sucks for me all you like, but once the hero is....'found', I'll have all the women crawling all over me. Except you, you can keep well away from me. I don't want to catch gingivitis" he said, running his finger over the text that appeared as he spoke and causing a hyperlink to appear. Damn he was good. Once that was done, he strolled over to Beuce and stopped in front of the Tardis. He could have sworn it had been smaller before, a little less wide too. He shrugged his shoulders and pushed open the door. Inside was truly breathtaking. Buttons everywhere, as far as the eye could see, all red. The inside of it was well-kept, it was a technological beauty, it was....really, really small. "My god, his tardis is just like him. Acts as though it's going to be huge, but it's really small" Hunter said, amazed as he began to start pressing random buttons in the hopes one of them might magically teleport them somewhere else. Finally, things could get moving. Lifting his halberd over his shoulder, Dain held out his other hand. "So, Beast's Castle. Haven't been there in a reeeeeeally long time" he said simply. There'd been too much talking, and not enough actual movement in his eyes. He wanted to find the hero as soon as possible, and find out what he knew. The sooner that happened, the better. He wasn't going to take some kind of ship like the girl that was going with them. That would involve walking, and walking was for poor people. "Stop the references, you're not allowed to do that" Focusing for a brief moment, Dain opened a dark corridor that lead directly to the castle. He barely remembered going there, but it was enough. Once the corridor was made, he turned to look at the others that were going to go there. "So, how long until you people stop being both physically and mentally slow, and get your ass into gear?" Dain asked, making sure he got at least one insult in before they moved on. "You should keep your sexual fantasies in check, kid" Dane shouted to Lexcifur, before turning his attention to the dark corridor that had just been created. He had lost count of how many of the things he'd created himself, so it wasn't a shock in the slightest that it was the way they were going to travel. Beyond the corridor lied the castle, and in it possibly the hero. And if the hero truly was there, they wouldn't be for long. At least, not alive, that was. Showing a slight smirk, he stepped forward and simply pushed Dain out of the way. "Later gayboy!" Dane called back to Lexcifur, before stepping inside of the dark corridor. Caleb stopped in front of the dark corridor. He was a little hesitant on going into it, because he didn't feel particularly comfortable taking Audrey with him. He looked down at his daughter, who simply looked up at him, smiling. Well, at least she seemed happy enough about it. "Don't run off, stay near me the whole time, okay?" "What are you talking about? I never run off. I'm a sweet little angel" Audrey said, being sarcastic as she stood there swaying slightly, trying to look as adorable as possible. Caleb rolled his eyes. There were some moments that Audrey really reminded him of her mother, and that was one of them. With a small sigh, he held out his hand for Audrey to take, and stepped into the corridor. They emerged inside of what would have been a very well-lit room, had there been someone around to maintain it. Surrounded by glass windows, with a second floor above them, it wasn't particularly hard to tell it had once been used as a ballroom. Although, Caleb immediately found himself remembering to look down for Audrey, knowing her too well to not realize she would try to run off at a moment's notice. He shifted his gaze downwards. "DAMNIT AUDREY" The little girl was off like a rocket. The moment she had set foot in the ballroom, she had taken off and made her escape, giggling as she did so. The area wasn't anything amazing, but it beat the realm of darkness by a long shot. They were in a castle though, which meant that somebody had probably lived there once and been all married and stuff just like princes and princesses did according to her, and that meant that somewhere there were toys and fancy clothes and all sorts of neat stuff. Her dad could find the hero, but she was finding something fun to do. Juliet glared at Lexcifur. A vast amount of time may have passed, but that didn't make her dislike him any less. She'd overcome her dislike for Caleb, but unlike him, Lexcifur was just a plain *******. The girl stepped in front of him and leaned in towards his ear. So much whispering, damn. "I'm not dead, but if you don't have a good reason for why you're putting Sapphire's kids in danger, you'll wish I was" she hissed, before stepping back a little bit. "But we can all introduce ourselves a little later!" she said, doing her best to make it seem as though she were exceptionally happy to see Lexcifur, when in fact it was the exact opposite. Stepping through the dark corridor, she emerged in the world that never was. She hadn't been there herself, but she had heard of it. The moment she set foot in the world, she stepped forward and grabbed Freya's arm, pulling her aside but trying to make it look like the two were just plain going to walk together. "Hi there, my name's Juliet, what's yours?" she said loudly, making sure Ohm heard. "What the hell are you doing here?" she then asked, lowering her voice so that Ohm wouldn't hear that part. Gexln had arrived on the sandy beaches of Destiny Islands. It had been centuries since he had heard of people even visiting the place, let alone living there. Also, it was the place that a boy had once lived at, a boy that had changed everything and become a great hero himself, so it made sense to start his search there. He'd searched the beach, the ruined houses, the shack, the small cave, he'd even taken a quick look around where the old ship used to be, but he had found nothing. To make things worse, he was having trouble concentrating. He knew what he had said had hurt Xero, and he had intended it that way to try and stop her from following, but he hadn't expected her reaction to cause him as much pain as it had. His heart ached just thinking about the things he'd said, the way she'd looked, and the undeniable sadness he had caused within her. If he was going to think of where the group searching for the hero was, then he needed to be able to think clearly, or at least as clearly as he possibly could at that time. And to do that, he had to think of a way to make things up to Xero. He didn't have to specifically do it, but as long as he at least knew of a way, then he could act on it later and not feel quite so guilty. "Ugh..if only she could understand why I'm doing it" he said quietly to himself, thinking out loud. Had she forgotten what happened the first time they got involved with a war? He just couldn't understand why someone would want to get involved with that again. The Nobody sat there in silence, just thinking. If only she could see things from his point of view. To understand. If she could just see the best memories of his life, if she could just see the moments he cherished the most, then maybe she'd finally be able to see why he was trying to keep her out. Did she not see that he was just trying to protect her? If only there was some way she could see that. He had an idea. Opening a dark corridor, Gexln brushed the sand off of his pants and stood up. The calm beach, the gentle waves, they were so peaceful. He'd have to take Xero to see it one day, maybe that would soothe things over. But before that, he had someone he needed to see.
I don't often clean mine. I'm sorry, Gai
oh...oh my face dares!
HOW DARE YOU
Oh yeah well your face isn't open minded
Screw your post Rienzel, this is my turf
Dain stood there with his axe ready, his eyes never moving from Dmitri. Anta and Dawn had run off, but that didn't matter. Dain had been challenged to a fight, and a challenge was something the boy never backed down from. He did, however, have to refrain from laughing at Dmitri's outburst. He did a pretty poor job of it, laughing out loud quite a few times before he finally stopped and looked at Dmitri once more. "Oh man, you really got pissed off at me for wanting to bang your sister didn't you? Are you a little jealous or something huh? Feeling a little closer than just brother and sister?" Dain asked, stepping back just a tiny bit as he attempted to deliberately provoke Dmitri into an attack.
"So you carry around that thing all the time, buuuuuut know next to nothing about it?" Glen asked, surprised at Ananta's lack of knowledge on the crystal. While she did seem to know what the crystal was for, she certainly didn't strike him as knowing much about it. He shrugged it off and turned away from Ananta as he noticed people making the decision to leave. While he could see why people would want to search the town, he himself thought of it as almost pointless. Had none of them been listening to Hikaru? Nobody from that world had seen Mickey for weeks, but they'd seen him less than an hour ago. He'd gone through the same mirror as them, yet not only had they not found Mickey when they went through it, but nobody had seen him leave the house or anything, so chances were he wasn't even in that world anymore, or at least if he was he wasn't somewhere he would be found easily. Maybe he was hiding from somebody. And where would be a fantastic place to hide? Back in time. "You guys can go have fun with your little festival thing. Racing around town searching for someone that probably isn't here isn't really resting, if anything it's going to exhaust you guys more. Wouldn't somebody have seen the mouse if he did stay here? Do you remember what lead us here? He was trailing ink. Do you see any ink around here? Because I sure as hell don't. Hikaru's right, I don't think it's a matter of where he is, but when. But hey, what do I know right? Nobody ever listens to me anyway" Glen scoffed, sitting down on the steps nearby as he waited for them to actually use some common sense.
