After having defeated the other undead, Gaius was feeling pretty good about the situation, or at least as much as someone could be when their lives and guild was being threatened. As the last undead creature fell, another person came in to try and break through their defence. This one seemed different though. If not only for the fact he seemed even more sure of himself than Gaius was, but also for the way the other undead seemed to be following him, almost protecting him. "So, you're the guy that's been flingin' these things at us, huh? I think you're gonna be the only one goin' to the afterlife around here. Damn did you ever choose the wrong guild to attack" Gaius said simply, not intimidated by his foe in the slightest. If he really was the guy controlling the zombies, then he would need to be taken out before the others. If he was brought down, then the undead would stop, wouldn't they? With this logic in his head, Gaius raced forward. Nimbly jumping around the minions, he got past them before leaping into the air and attempting to punch Orpheus with all his strength in a two-handed swing. Gaius used Quick Blitz on Orpheus before the battle began because he is the true secret boss! Alastor Nex released a small sigh as Orpheus went through his dark corridor, leaving one behind for each of the other members to use. "A tad more useful...I think Orpheus is underestimating us again. Always in a hurry to get more subjects for himself to command, always sure he can do everything alone. Very well. If the master thinks Orpheus can handle it, then we will simply have to believe that he can. We have other matters to attend to anyway. Best of luck to you two, although if luck is truly what you need to handle insignificant people such as them, then perhaps you are in the wrong guild" Alastor said, coming perhaps as close to making a joke as he was able. He then turned and stepped through the portal Orpheus had created, eager to see how his targets would cope. Yana was giggling uncontrollably now. Ezekiel had given her permission to finally let loose and go and obliterate them. It had taken a while, but somehow she had held it together long enough to be allowed to do it. Turning to face Thea, she stepped forward in front of her and stopped. "Remember, no mercy for them. Burn them, burn them all. Not allowed to hold back, wouldn't want Master Ezekiel to get hurt because of you would we?" Yana said, giggling once more. With a sadistic smile on her face, the witch stepped through the portal that Orpheus had made for them. I think it's time I finished what I started all those years ago, and bringing her down with all her little friends around her is the perfect way to do just that, Yana thought to herself as she made her way through. Caleb used Quick Blitz because i'm too lazy to write out another post
Walking in through the door, Dain was a little annoyed. He knew that it was for good reason that Dmitri had pulled out, but Dain was really, really itching for a fight, and now he wasn't going to get one. Grumbling quietly, he wandered over to India and peered over his shoulder. "Haaaave you figured out a way to kill these things yet? My bloodthirsty urges haven't calmed at all, and you took away the only other source of entertainment. I mean, I'm fine with taking away the little black thing, but screwing with my fight? Can I at least, I don't know, brutally maim him or something? He doesn't have to die, maybe just lose a limb or two" Dain suggested, genuinely not caring that Dmitri was standing right there.
Gaius used mega flare because Cal said I can do what I want Since that isn't an option, Gaius used Thunder!
Storm the guild hall - group 1 Standing amongst the defeated enemies, unscathed since rngesus had decided it would be so, Gaius turned and gave a slightly cocky grin towards Thomas. "Next time doesn't matter, I beat ya this time, but if you want to try to show me up then go for it, it ain't gonna happen" he said. Turning his attention back to the other enemies that were entering, he let out a small laugh. "Alright, lets show these guys what it means to mess with Team King!" the red headed boy shouted, before diving headfirst into the fray once more.
Both Caleb and Skadi will be in group 1 for defending.
Yeah, buuuut Spoiler I finished first in the basement floors. Get off your throne, it's mine now!
Gaius used Quick Blitz on Dark Mage 2!
"Ezekiel said they were to be destroyed, so if you want to remain a part of this guild, then that's what you have to do. We didn't get where we are today by showing mercy to our opponents, you would be wise to remember that" Alastor Nex, one of the four elite wizards in the dark guild, said in a calm yet serious tone. He was standing nearby the other mages, behind the lower ranked guild members as they would be sent first. He had his hood pulled up over his head, but it covered none of the details of his fac, and he carried a deadly blade at his side. In the battle they had walked away from, Alastor had paid very close attention to the magic each of their opponents had shown. Alastor had a deep and powerful obsession with magic, yearning for the ability to use each kind, so whenever he could see new magics used he took the opportunity without hesitation. He hadn't intervened however, as he wanted to keep his own abilities a surprise for whoever tried to get through him. The very thought of someone challenging him brought a slight smile to his lips. A challenge, a way to push him to his limits. He would enjoy that. Next to Alastor stood a girl with long dark hair, green eyes, and a birthmark in the shape of a red crescent moon. This was another of the elite four, a witch that went by the name Yana Aegrum. Sadistic as they come, the girl had a reputation for going into fights and being the only one to come out alive, leaving nothing but death and destruction in her wake. "And what happens if we show mercy? They turn 'round and stab you in the back. That's why we gots to burn them, make them scream, and then finally make them go pop" Yana said, giggling a little at the end of her statement. The witch thought back to what she had just experienced. So many victims gathered altogether, and yet she couldn't touch any of them. Well, she had gotten one, and she considered herself lucky to get that. While Ezekiel had been giving his show of power, Yana had been fighting the itch to set the place alight, keeping it at bay despite every inch of her body screaming at her to let loose and have some fun. And then she'd seen them. Caleb Stitem and Skadi Wynter. Yana hadn't been present when Caleb was captured, she'd been off having some fun with a small village, but she had quickly regretted that when she heard she had missed the opportunity to harm Caleb. Yana had grown up in the same area as Caleb, Skadi, and Gaius, and amongst her destructive habits had set Skadi's home on fire. Unfortunately, Skadi hadn't been inside, but her parents had. A mother and father, once young and vibrant, reduced to nothing but smouldering piles of ashes beneath a cackling Yana Aegrum's feet, and another little girl and her friend had been there to watch the whole thing, unable to help in any way due to Yana beating them back with her magic. So, naturally, the moment that she saw Caleb and Skadi together in the guild, she decided to give a little reminder of who had taken Skadi's family away from her. Releasing a fire spell and darkness spell simultaneously, they merged together in a brilliant combination of extreme heat and malice, and rocketed straight towards Skadi. Being the hero he was, Caleb had leaped into the path of it and taken the hit for the ice mage, knocking him unconscious once more instantly and causing both Skadi and Gaius to yell out of worry for their friend. Yana would have loved to stay, would have continued fighting, but Ezekiel had decided the fight was over, so with a short wave and a quick "buh-bye" she, too, had left. A sinister grin appeared on the girl's face as she thought back on that particular fight. They would come to try and take their revenge, she was sure of it. The fight had only just begun, and already she had goosebumps. This was going to be a good day indeed. Standing there, Caleb's body in her arms, Skadi's face was one of nothing but worry and sorrow, fearing the worst for her friend. Gaius had come running over, as she had expected him to, and she had immediately checked for a pulse. Breathing a huge sigh of relief, she relayed the news that he still had a pulse. Yana hadn't taken another away from her. "Yana Aegrum...I had hoped I'd never see you again. And yet here you are, causing me pain once more" Skadi said quietly. She looked up at the others who seemed to be preparing for both an assault and a defence. "I know one of them, too. A witch, Yana Aegrum. She was the one who took my parents away from me, and I'm not going to let her take any more. If we're attacking them, then I'm-" she started. "Staying" Gaius interrupted, now standing up next to the ice mage. As Skadi opened her mouth to protest, Gaius cut her off once again. He no longer had the cheery, friendly grin he had on his face. His face gave off an expression of complete seriousness; something uncommon for Gaius. "You stay here and keep Caleb and the others safe. I'll go and stop this Ezekiel guy and show him what real power looks like" he said. Skadi simply sat there, not sure what to say. After a minute, she found her voice again. "Gaius, I...okay, I'll stay here. I won't let them touch Caleb again, go and show her what happens to people that try to kill our friends" Skadi said, her voice ice cold as she spoke. Gaius gave a nod, and with that nod came the familiar smile he so often wore. "Not just her, Skadi. I'm going to kick the ass of everybody up there. The S-class guys couldn't do it, so I guess I'll just have to do it for 'em. But hey, that's what I'm good at right? Relax, that energy guy doesn't stand a chance with me 'round" Gaius said with a cocky tone to his voice. Heading over to Thomas, he stopped nearby him before punching him playfully on the shoulder. "Five jewels say I take out more bad guys than ya" he said, before hurrying past him and out the door.
Gaius is group 1!
Gaius will be storming the guild hall Skadi will be defending the guild hall Caleb (if able) will be defending the guild hall
Caleb slowly got up. "Well first, I think this girl here has done more than enough to help, and needs to take a break" Caleb said, gesturing towards Silvia, who had seemed to disregard him telling her to stop. "Shortly, I heard news of a dark guild rising rapidly in strength, and I went to stop it" the man continued. He remained quiet for a moment before looking at the ground, almost in shame, and continuing. "I...was unable to stop them. I tried, but..they use magic unlike anything I've ever seen. I was lucky to escape with my life, and even that wasn't due to my own skill. They gave me the wounds I arrived with, as well as a message. However, I have yet to see the man that they.." Caleb said, before only now noticing the individual known as Ra. Moving with surprising speed given his injuries, Caleb raced forward and gripped the cloth at the front of Ra's armour. He was surprised he hadn't noticed him earlier, it was very hard to miss a man standing there in a golden bird suit, but that didn't matter. Caleb had a message to convey. "This guy right here, he's the reason I was sent here" Caleb said rather quietly. "A battle is coming, and no easy one at that. A wizard with unparalleled strength who is no longer mortal, but has become magic itself. He has no physical body, and the power he commands is unstoppable. He is coming to destroy this guild and anyone else who stands in his way, and the reason he has chosen this particular guild over all others" the man explained, before glaring at Ra, "is standing right in front of all of us" he spat. "Now why don't you explain who Ezekiel is, and how the hell we are going to stop him" he finished, delivering the message he had been sent to convey.
Glen found it amusing watching the mouse trying to cut up the brooms. Taking shortcuts to doing chores only to have it backfire on him? Glen knew all about that. Perhaps it was for that reason that the young keyblade wielder decided to help the mouse. With a flash of light, he changed into his Soldier job and dashed forward. "We take out these things for you, and you tell us about Yen Sid, sound good?" Glen asked, but didn't wait for an answer. Swinging his keyblade, which now looked like a sword, he struck at the broom on the left that had just reformed. He'd seen this tactic fail for Mickey, but maybe if he took them out quickly enough they wouldn't have time to reform? As his weapon connected with the wood of the broom, he saw it splinter. Taking another swing, shards flew off of the broom, but Glen wasn't done yet. He kicked the broom with a fair amount of force, sending it crashing into the other broom. Not stopping for even a second, he then kept the flow going and slammed his blade into the ground, releasing flame geysers that travelled in a line straight into the brooms, using his Brave Shot ability. The brooms were hit with full force by the attack, and exploded into bits and pieces of wood. Standing up straight again, he waited to see if his tactic had worked, only to be disappointed moments later as the brooms reformed. There are 4 brooms now.
but....I already sent you my lines?
As Skadi was preparing another attack to try and dispel the demon that possessed young Elayne, she found herself suddenly and instantaneously unable to see. The light swallowed her up, and instinctively the young ice mage held up her arms to shield her eyes. What was the attack the the spirit was using? How was she meant to fight it if she couldn't see? Skadi did the only thing she could do; she held her position and made herself into a stance that supported a defensive style of fighting, and waited. Once the light had cleared, the girl found herself back inside of the guild hall. Next to her, she could hear Silvia feeling very sorry for herself and apologizing to Elayne. Putting an encouraging hand on her shoulder, she squatted down slightly to the point she was next to the girl. "Silvia, don't apologize. There wasn't anything any of us could have done, we did everything we could. That kid still needs help, so how about later on we go back and see if we can fix her up, okay?" Skadi suggested, reminded almost of the way that an adult would speak to a little kid. Skadi would have continued, but she saw something that made her release an audible gasp. Caleb Stitem, beaten and bloodied, laying on the ground. Rushing over, a look of worry came over the girl, evident for all around to see. "W-what happened?! Don't just stand there, he needs help! Why have you just left him on the ground like this?" Skadi cried. She was shouting at everyone there, including the guild master, but she didn't care. The only thing on her mind at that moment was making sure Caleb was alright. With a great effort, Skadi dragged Caleb's body over to a table and pushed him onto it, rolling him over so he was laying on his back, facing up towards the ceiling. She didn't have much training with medicine or healing magic, but she figured that was the best position for him to be in if he was to be treated in any way. Silvia then came over, much to Skadi's relief, and began healing Caleb. Gaius was in an incredibly intense fight, battling the spirit. When it attacked him, he would dodge out of the way, nimble as a cat, and strike back with twice the force as usual. Adrenaline was flowing through his veins and he found himself having much, much more energy than he generally did in battle. He flashed a cocky grin mid-fight; he was enjoying this much more than he ought to have been. One more fight and he could end it, he was sure of it. However, the spirit had other plans. A blinding light began filling the area around him, conveniently appearing to save the spirit, so Gaius assumed it was coming from the spirit. "Oh no you don't, you ain't gettin' away from me!" he exclaimed. With a slight yell, he leaped up into the air and swung his fist with incredible force towards the spirit as the light increased in intensity, blinding the boy completely. When the light faded, Gaius' fist connected. He opened his eyes, only to see that he had not actually hit the spirit, but rather a friend of his. "Oh my god, Caleb! Caleb, you're here! Where did you go, why are you so injured, where did that mark on your faaaaa-" he started, the fact he had hit Caleb only now dawning on him. He grinned sheepishly. "Oh...uh..well..do I hit any harder?" he asked, attempting to cover up his mistake. Caleb sat up slowly, groaning and rubbing his head where he'd been hit. The hit, while unnecessary, had given him the push he had needed to regain consciousness. However, he still felt very much exhausted. "A little, yeah, but it's still not enough.." the man responded quietly. "GAIUS! WHY THE HELL DID YOU HIT CALEB?!" Skadi shouted, angry that her friend had attacked. Gaius Ryan shrugged his shoulders. "Oh come on Skadi, you can't blame me. How was I meant to know that the light was coming from here and not the spirit? Do I look like someone that knows that kinda stuff?" he asked, a little irritated she had assumed that he had attacked. "You look like someone that doesn't know anything" Skadi huffed, crossing her arms slightly. Caleb laughed rather weakly, coughing once, which caused Skadi and Gaius to look in his direction once more, attention solely on him. "You two haven't changed a bit" he said, shaking his head slightly. Glancing at the girl that was healing him, he gave a weak smile. "Thank you, you can stop now. I'll be fine from here" he said, not wanting the girl to waste any more energy on him. He waited until she had stopped, before looking at the people around him. "My name is Caleb Stitem. I'm a member of this guild, but I failed to attend the induction ceremony due to other more important matters. Matters which brought me back here, actually. I was sent here by someone with a message, but before I give that I need to speak with the guild master about something very important" Caleb said, speaking as loudly as he was able so that the guild master, whoever they were, would surely be able to hear him.
Gaius couldn't believe Thomas' ego. It was ridiculous, and had Gaius not witnessed it for himself he probably wouldn't have believed it. Although, there were some advantages to having the boy along with them. He'd gotten the attention of more spirit things, something for Gaius to fight. "Good job Thomas. I was itchin' for a fight, this mission was starting to bore me" Gaius said, flashing a cocky grin as he got ready to battle. Before he attacked though, he had to tend to his wounds, so he cast a quick cure spell on himself and then got ready to attack. Gaius used cure! Running through the streets of Intonahe was a man that went by the name Caleb Stitem. He had been one of the newer people accepted into Sapphire Eclipse, but hadn't attended the acceptance ceremony due to more important issues coming up. He had caught wind of some very troubling news, news of the movements of a dark guild rising in strength and had left to try and stop it. The numerous bruises and cuts suggested he had failed to do so, but yet there he was, running towards Sapphire Eclipse, ignoring the confused and somewhat worried looks of the townspeople as he did so. He crashed through the doors into the guild, panting and clearly exhausted after having run the entire way back. With a look of both anger and worry on his face, he stepped over to the nearest person to him and stared straight at them. "There are four people I need to speak to urgently. Get me Gaius Ryan, Skadi Wynter, Ra, and the guild master. If they choose not to come, tell them..tell them that the guild..is going to be destroyed" Caleb said, before passing out and collapsing onto the ground, his mission accomplished.
This last episode was very sad for me, but enjoyable nonetheless. It was a bit weird right at the end, but I still thought it fit in its own kind of way. Spoiler Although, I did read this afterwards, and the timing was just too much for my feels to handle.
Dane frowned a little bit at Xander's request of not hurting her. "Aw, but small children are the most fun to torture" he said. However, his eyes lit up when Xander instructed the girl to do whatever he says, no matter what it was. "Yeah, he's right, listen to that guy. He knows what he's talking about. Do whatever I say like a good little slave, and just maybe I won't do something that will give you nightmares to keep you up all night. Then again, maybe I will, I guess you'll just never know" Dane said, a wicked grin appearing on his face as he spoke. He turned to face Xander, jerking a thumb in his general direction as he lifted the scythe off of Alissia's chest. "That Doom spell you just cast...use it on him. Now" he commanded, enjoying the situation all too much. Juliet rolled her eyes as Lexcifur took out a few of the other dusks. "You fight just as aggressively as our father does" she said dryly. She waited a moment, before shooting a glare at the boy. "That's not a good thing" she added, making sure to get her point across. She then followed after Zavion through the castle until eventually they got to an elevator. Once on the elevator, dragoon Nobodies appeared seemingly out of nowhere, surrounding them and cutting off any chance of escape. That was completely fine with Juliet though; she wasn't planning on running. With her keyblade held close, she rushed forward towards one of the dragoons and attacked. Just as Huntix was about to land a hit of epic proportions on Eigo and probably 1 shot the guy, his body was slammed to the ground by an incredible force. He looked up to see who had tackled him, only to realize it was Beuce. The look on his face was one of murderous intent though, like he was planning to kill him or something. "Now look, I'm sorry about calling you stupid, but in your defence...well, you kinda are. Oh stop with that savage look, there's no friendly fire in lea-" he began, before he was silenced by the removal of his head, because death is the best form of crowd control. As his body faded away, a quiet voice could be heard in the winds above, and if you listened closely you could probably hear the words "Riot why?". He spawned back at disney castle for the second time that day. After dusting himself off, he made his way back to the pridelands. Upon arrival, he made a mental note not to die again. Three strikes and I'm out of the rp, and nobody wants that he thought to himself as he hurried back to the fight which for reasons unknown still wasn't over. God those guys were bad, couldn't even kill a mini-boss without him. He should probably help them, should probably go and try to kill Eigo again. But Beuce had killed him. Running over, he stopped next to Xero. "You know this dumbass? Might wanna look away then" he advised, not only speaking to Xero but all the children of KHV who he suspected were reading his post. What happened next wasn't very pretty. One moment Beuce was there, the next he was not, picked up by Huntix and devoured whole. The downside? They temporarily didn't have an ally on their team. The upside? Huntix had developed the ability to jump further and more frequently, and he'd gotten revenge. It kinda evened out, and whoever disagreed would suffer the same fate as the Dante clone.
Glen gave a somewhat quizzical look towards Base upon his requests. Was he planning on getting into trouble, on going away or something? "Relax, nothing will happen. If something tries to attack us or screw with us in any way, I'll beat it back, will that ease your mind?" he asked, sounding almost as though he were joking when he was in fact completely serious. He said nothing to Kaida's arrival. While he didn't blame her for Eon or Etrius' death, he was more than a little angry over the fact that when it had come time to fight, she was nowhere to be found. She claimed that she was nearly attacked, and she was sent away, but he very much doubted she was forced. She'd abandoned them. Doing his best to move on, Glen continued walking up the staircase. Reaching the top of the stairs, it was shocking to see just how much water was inside. He was surprised none of them had slipped down the stairs because of the water there, but this? This was something else. More importantly than the water though was perhaps the small figure trying to stop it. Turning around to look at the others there, Glen shrugged his shoulders. "Well, that was easy" he said, before turning to face the mouse again. He carefully made his way over to the mouse, being careful not to slip over in the water, and gently poked the mouse in the shoulder. "Firstly, are you Mickey? Secondly, what happened here? Finally, where's Yen Sid?" he asked.
As Dane simply watched Alissia fall to the ground, making no attempt to catch the girl, he heard the sound of a sword being drawn. Turning his attention to the challenger, his face wore an expression of curiosity, quickly replaced by one of amusement as Xander spoke. "Oh please, like you could actually hurt me. Why don't you put that toy away? Do you even know how to actually use it? I'd be willing to bet all of my munny that you couldn't even land a single strike on me, should I show you what real pain feels like?" Dane asked, putting very little effort into trying to taunt Xander. "Or, if you'd prefer.." Dane said, now moving his scythe so that the blade of it rested above the unconscious Alissia's heart, "I could introduce your little friend here to the darkness inside of her own heart. It'd be a shame to lose a slave so soon, but I'm sure I can always get another" Dane said, deciding in an instant that Alissia would be his slave. Juliet nodded at Rinox's suggestion, but didn't move forward at all. She completely agreed that a higher vantage point would be the best chance at finding the hero, but like some of the others there, she had also spotted the dusk. Holding up a hand to indicate for the others to wait, she held out that same hand to her side and willed her keyblade to her side. In a glow that had both light and darkness swirling around inside of it, Juliet's Keyblade, Twisted Star, materialized in her hand. Turning to Lexcifur, she gave a slight smirk. "Let the better Senka child handle this" she said simply, before dashing forward. She struck out at the dusk swiftly, striking first horizontally, and then lunging forward with her keyblade, impaling the dusk on it and ending it immediately. Huntix collided with the shield of spikes, but managed to shift his body around acrobatically so that the side of his body was what took the blow and not the front, minimizing the damage he took. Huntix was many things, but a stranger to battle was not one of them. Pushing himself away from Eigo, he landed not-so-gracefully a short distance away from Eigo. As he got up, he looked at his opponent as he tried to figure out a way to punch him in the face. Those daggers need to go if I'm going to kick his ass, Huntix thought to himself, but was unable to think of a way to make progress. Thankfully, his foe had the genius idea of launching his protective spike-dagger-thing at Huntix. Hunching over slightly, Huntix brought his shoulders forwards, and from his shoulders he released a wave of his own spikes, detached from the protective shell that was his back. The void spikes hit the daggers, knocking many, but not all, out of the way. The few that remained, Huntix used as an opportunity to look awesome by ninja-ing around and leaping out of the way like an absolute boss. Once his shenanigans were over and the buglike creature stood still, he stared at Eigo with a confused look, before laughing a little bit. "You think we're cultists? Oh my god, you're more stupid than you look, and that's sayin' somethin'!" he exclaimed. He seemed to ponder that statement for a moment, before shaking his head. "I take it back, nobody could be that stupid" he added. Taking a quick glance at Beuce, he shook his head once more. "Wrong again. See, this is why talking sucks when there's killin' to be done" he said, before using his R and his exterior appearance changed to a state of active camouflage, dashing foroward in temporary invisibility, and then coming out of it right underneath Eigo, before firing more of the void spikes up.
