Voting for Karina for december. She may have been a ***** that tried to murder my character, buuuut hey at least she stayed true to her character and kept up with activity :P
So, the University of Pikeville in Kentucky is offering schollarships for League of Legends players. I don't know much about it as of yet (currently searching for more info) but personally I think this is something big and amazing. If you want to know the details, they're riiiight here.
Gaius for Squad 3 Skadi for Squad 4 Caleb for Squad 2
Gaius walked up to Veilen and Thomas, who seemed to be recounting their battle, and decided to chip in. "Our guy was hurling zombies at us constantly, even tryin' to turn me into one of them. If that'd happened, we would have all been screwed, I guess it's a good thing that I was strong enough to beat it. Dunno if Thomas here would've been able to take another hit from me, sometimes I wonder whether he's still recovering from the last one or not" the young mage said. He, like Veilen, much enjoyed teasing Thomas. When a guy was as easy to mess with as Thomas was, it was just about impossible not to do it. "That Orpheus guy hit pretty hard and didn't wanna go down, but he was against the strongest team in Sapphire Eclipse, so he was gonna fall in the end anyway. There isn't anybody alive that would be able to beat us, and we'll prove it to ya when we get to Ezekiel!" Gaius claimed, believing every word he spoke. At Gaius' claim, Skadi Wynter strolled over to them. "Gaius, you're a tough fighter, and you've proven that time and time again to me, but you have to be more careful. Ezekiel's attacking an entire guild, so he's probably fairly sure he'll win. He came in before and beat the stronger members like it was nothing, does that sound like somebody you should just try to beat with a few members? If we're going to beat Ezekiel, we'll have to do it as a guild, so I don't want you going off on your own like you like too" the girl said. The tone she spoke in was a fairly serious one. She was tired both physically and emotionally after the battle against Yana, and the idea of one of her best friends getting full of himself and getting himself killed was not one she welcomed. Gaius was surprised, but he nodded in response. "Alright. I'll try to be careful, but I'm still going to kick his ass. You don't need to worry Skadi, I'll get this guy before he can hurt anybody else" the male said, confident as ever.
Fairy Tail RP, Fairy Tail victory music. Shame on you guys for linking the wrong victory music. Once Orpheus had gone down, Gaius noticed that Thomas was trying to look epic by doing a cool victory pose. It would have probably worked too, but he was doing it all wrong. Clearly he needed someone to show him how it was done. Literally leaping to Thomas' side, Gaius crouched down and held up one of his hands, allowing flames to form around it as he stretched out his other arm just like he did in the banner. "That's what you get for thinking you could beat Team King and trying to turn me into a zombie!" he shouted, declaring victory. After Ra had given the epic speech that made Team King sound absolutely badass and everything, Gaius couldn't help but agree. Despite his dislike for Thomas, everybody had worked well together, maybe they were cut out for a team. "Phew, he just did not want to go down did he? Surprised you guys kept up with me, I guess there really is a first time for everything huh?" the redheaded mage asked rhetorically. He wanted to go ahead and kick Ezekiel's butt, which he was sure they could do given that they were Team King, but at the same time the others needed to know who the top dogs were. They probably knew already, I mean it was kinda obvious after how well they all fought, but still..a little gloating never hurt anyone so long as they didn't do it in front of someone like Mikasa. "Well, there really isn't that much to say about it" Caleb said, taking a seat nearby the guild master. "We found a young witch called Yana Aegrum. Myself and Skadi had a run in a long time ago, and she caused a lot of problems for us, in fact that's probably why she was so eager to see us dead today. However, despite her magic we defeated her. She wasn't able to accept it though, and she tried to use a magic far too powerful for herself, and it turned on her. There was nothing we could do to stop it, the flames consumed her and...we won't be seeing her again" Caleb said. His report was fairly short, but it explained things about as well as he was willing to say.
Okay here we go, Gaius is going to equip Blitz and use his 1 skill point in Natsu Skadi won't be equipping anything, she's just going to use her 1 skill point in Wendy Caleb will be purchasing and equipping a Gaia Bangle (+9HP, +3 defence), and using his 1 skill point in Lucy.
Shortly after the battle.. As the attacks came at Alastor, he did his absolute best to avoid them, but exhaustion prevented any swift movement, and so each of them hit home. Surprisingly after all the attacks, Alastor was still standing. He was breathing heavily and he was hunched over, almost crouching, but he wasn't unconscious. "You think..you think beating me is going to save your guild, don't you? You don't understand, none of you do. Ezekiel..has magic that cannot be stopped, magic that will destroy all that it touches. If he wants your guild dead, then you need to leave and find a different one, because nothing will stand in that man's way. I had hoped that after all this time, I could learn his magic, learn the way it works, and then find a way to stop it. If I had beaten you, then with your magic I may have stood a chance, but by beating me you destroyed your only hope!" the mage shouted, before going into a coughing fit. After his coughing had stopped, he fell backwards and onto the ground, his body no longer being able to hold him. He wasn't going to die; his injuries weren't that severe, but he would not be able to fight any longer. At the age of eighteen, on the day he had lost his sister, he had been told one thing by her: "Never stop trying, Alastor. You have the potential to do so much good. Study the magic you and others have, and then use it to stop the wars, to stop all the fighting, and bring the world the peace that I so wanted to see with my own eyes" As he lay there, simply staring into the sky, he couldn't help but shed a tear as the last bit of strength left his body. "I'm sorry, Keira.." was all he got out before some of his opponents left, and Alastor Nex slipped into the realm of unconsciousness. Meanwhile.. Yana Aegrum had been completely and utterly defeated. No longer was that sadistic smile on her face, no longer was she cackling like the witch she was. The girl had used most of her magic trying to kill the people before her, and yet she had failed. The creatures would live to see another day, for there was nothing she could do about it. Unless....maybe there was a way after all. Standing up slowly, Yana looked at the group, and if they were paying attention they would see that the small shred of sanity Yana had maintained in her eyes had vanished. Gone were the eyes of a sadistic murderer, now only those of a psychopathic sorceress remained. "You guys...are so boring. So boring, so veeeeery boring. No fun, no games, only clinging onto life. It sickens me. You all think you've won, but you're wrong. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong! I don't care what happens, I'll kill you! I'll kill you all, every last one of you is going to die here and now! Screw what Ezekiel wants, I'll kill him too if he tries to stop me! BECAUSE I'M YANA AEGRUM, AND EVERYTHING I WANT DEAD WILL BURN FOR ETERNITY!" the girl shrieked like a banshee, releasing a loud and high pitched cackle as the ground around her began heating up. Hotter and hotter the area got, until black flames began forming around the girl. The flames began rising in intensity and heat, becoming more dangerous by the second, until Yana flung her arms forward with a look that made even the most insane madman seem as though he were completely normal. "Now go! Turn them to ashes!" she cried. But they didn't. The flames didn't stop the growth in power, and they didn't leave their caster, either. They continued expanding, getting larger and larger and wrapping themselves around the girl. Yana had well and truly lost control of her magic, and she was about to pay the price. Higher and higher they climbed, until the girl was nothing but a writhing mess of black flames and melting skin. Screeches and screams of agony could be heard coming from the young witch, but they only lasted for about a minute before they stopped and there was no longer anything before the group, save for a smouldering, charred corpse that had once been Yana Aegrum. Yana was dead. After everything she had put them through, after all the pain that she had caused Skadi throughout her life, here she was dead in front of the ice mage. Skadi should have been overjoyed, she should have felt a huge sense of relief, but she did wasn't, and she didn't. All that she could feel was sadness. It was strange, really. The one who had caused the most suffering to her was dead, and she was upset. Ignoring Johanna telling them to go back, the girl said nothing but instead walked over to the corpse, where she knelt down on the ground in front of it. Over and over again the screams echoed in her ears; the sounds of a dying witch. A tear was shed, only to evaporate instantly due to the fierce heat. Most of the time, magic was a blessing and she was thankful for it, but after seeing firsthand the pain it could inflict upon someone...she wasn't so sure. She turned to her side to see Caleb stepping next to her, worried look on his face. She gave a fake smile, trying her best to look happy, but it soon broke down and she found herself sobbing, face against Caleb as she did so. "She caused me so much pain and yet..I would never wish this upon anyone, not even her. Is this what happens to people that can't control their magic? Will I freeze and die if I fail a spell? Why does magic do this, Caleb?" the ice mage asked. For a moment, Caleb said nothing, simply standing there in shock. He wasn't surprised Skadi was sad over the death of Yana; he had known Skadi most of his life, and he knew that she was a gentle soul. He doubted very much that there was anything anyone could do for Skadi to wish them dead. Although, for her to break down sobbing like this..he hadn't seen it coming. He wondered what he should say. "Skadi...where she is now, no hurt can be inflicted. Nothing can hurt her, and she won't be killing anyone else" the man said, before squatting down and hugging her tightly. "And if you fail a spell and it goes horribly like that, I'll find a way to stop it. I don't care what happens to you, I promise I'll protect you from anything bad. If magic goes wrong, I will repel it, If you get sick I will be there to help you get better, and if Gaius pisses someone off and they want revenge...well then I'll fight them off and make sure Gaius gets the lecture to end all lectures" Caleb said, causing Skadi to laugh just a little. He held out his hand, offering to help her up, which she accepted. The two then made their way back to the guild, both a little shaken up but feeling a bit better now that they were with each other once more.
I would like the pin plox
As Alastor had just finished his attacks, a new combatant entered the fray. A healer, one that got people back on their feet. Under other circumstances, it would have been acceptable, but not after Alastor had taken such a beating. However, even with the healer, he was still confident he could win. Unfortunately for him, two others entered the fight. It seemed that for every opponent he struck down, another took their place. And yet, he could not stop. He would not stop. Alastor wasn't just a murderous scientist, he was a man that was all but dead on the inside, a man who had lost so much that there was barely a spark of light within him, and that made him truly dangerous. "You'll need a lot more than three extra people if you're going to have even the slightest chance of bringing me down! I am a master of the arcane, I won't go down so easily! I will not allow myself to fail again, so just give up and die already!" the man roared, desperation evident in his voice and yet physically he didn't show it. After that outburst, though, he fell down, having to use his sword to keep him from hitting the ground completely. He recovered swiftly, but exhaustion had set in already. The wound in his side didn't help, either. He was lucky that the girl that had tried to impale him didn't have the aim she desired; it had barely missed his vital organs. Dashing quickly over, he held out his sword and slashed viciously at the girl that had tried to impale him. Not once, but three times, before he turned his attention to the one of the new people, the man that had challenged him. With sheer aggression, he threw himself at the man, throwing a fireball as he did so and then attempting his thunder collision attack. Unfortunately, he didn't have the energy to use that, and the attack failed, leaving Alastor doing nothing but crashing into the man regularly, before getting up and taking a few steps back, breathing heavily but doing his best to be ready for the attacks that were coming. Alastor used regular attack three times on Alessia, Fire on Ren, and then attempted to use Element Mix: Thunder Collission, but failed! Caleb uses cure on Skadi Skadi uses Quick Blitz on Yana
Alastor was pleasantly surprised with the abilities of the group he was against. They wouldn't be pushovers. Still not enough to defeat him if he played his cards right, but they would put up a bit of a fight for a while, and that would allow Alastor to test himself more. "Well, I'm surprised you're still standing. Many people would have given up there and then. It won't do you any good though, eventually you will all fall to me" the dark magician said, before using dark magic attack deciding to step things up a little bit. Using all his knowledge of magic, Alastor's body began glowing with a magical aura, before two wings of pure black magical energy with green skulls on the front of them appeared on his back, putting him into a much stronger form. Once the transformation had completed, he could feel the magic flowing inside of his body, the power surging through his veins. Acting swiftly, he dashed over to Silvia, the one that had healed before, and leaped into the sky. Combining the elements of thunder and gravity, he began crashing towards the girl at a terrifying speed, slamming into her at full force as he landed one solid punch to the girl's stomach, electricity surging through the girl's body. Not stopping there, Alastor then turned his attention to Zwei, the boy that had gone down but quickly got back up. It was time he stayed down. He raced over towards his opponent, and as he did so both his palms gathered a swirling energy in them; a combination of ice and wind. The moment he got in front of Zwei, he thrust both palms forward, slamming them into his target as he used his Freezing Wind ability. Next was his recovery. Alastor was no stranger to battle, and though he wanted to continue attacking he knew he wouldn't last long if he didn't play it smart. To go along with that strategy, he used cure on himself twice, restoring lost energy and easing his aching bones. It wasn't quite enough to rely solely on that though. No, it was time he used his unique magic. Vanish magic. The very slightest of smiles appeared on his face. "Now, lets see if you can hit what you can't see" the man said, as his body slowly faded away, turning completely invisible due to his magic. It wouldn't last long, but hopefully it would be enough. Alastor used Master of the Elements, Element Mix: Thunder Collission (Silvia), Element Mix: Freezing Wind (Zwei), Cure(self), Cure(self), and Vanish(self)! (Vanish makes him untargetable just in case anyone's forgotten) Master of the Elements: 1 round
As Gaius was defending against the attacks, he became engaged in combat with one of the zombies. Fast as he was, even he wasn't quick enough to avoid the zombie biting him. Pulling his arm away from the creature, he shook off the zombie saliva. "Ewww! The hell is with that? That's disgustin'!" he exclaimed. He was about to continue, but something caught his attention. His arm, despite having the zombie saliva shaken off, was slowly turning a pale green colour. He quickly tried to shake off the green colour somehow, but it didn't work. Slowly but surely, the green colour spread up his arm, onto his torso, and eventually he was completely green. He simply stood there for a moment, not sure of what the hell was going on. If he'd been bitten by a zombie, and then turned into a zombie, then was he now a bad guy? Theatrically, he held his arms in front of him and slowly staggered forward towards his teammates. "Braaaaains" he grumbled, before nearing Thomas. Shaking his head slowly, he turned around and started walking away. "No brains there" he said before laughing. Gaius couldn't be a bad guy. Whether he had been turned evil or not - was it even possible to turn evil because something bit you? - he couldn't hurt his guildmates. Not in a serious fight, anyway. And yet he couldn't not hurt them. If he was a bad guy, he would have to be the absolute best bad guy. Why was this situation so confusing? Damn zombies. Maybe that was the reason they ate brains; so they could make these kinds of decisions easier. Turning around, he pointed a green finger at Orpheus. "So I guess I'm a bad guy now. And that means that you are no longer the top dog around here!" he proclaimed. Leaping over to the zombie that had bitten him, he backhanded it across the face. "Brothers, sisters, put down your weapons! I am one of you now, and we shouldn't be fighting Sapphire Eclipse, we want to attack that other guy. Lets show who the alpha zombie is around here. Follow me, to victory!" Gaius shouted dramatically. Acting on pure instinct, Gaius turned and leaped back into the cloud, ready to strike at Orpheus but having a good chance of striking an ally. Gaius used attack on a completely random target because confused.
At Lucia's insults, Yana started giggling. "Snarky bitch? Oh lookie, you know me so well already!" the girl exclaimed, only to be hit while she was far too giddy. "Ouch, you hit hard. I like it, do it again" the witch said, giggling once more. She got what she asked for as Therity hit her, followed by Caleb, Skadi, and Jack. Her tactic had been simple; she wanted to see how hard each of them hit. To be honest, she was a little disappointed. "You guys are no fun, why not just drop dead? I'm sure Orpheus can use you then, I get to burn people, and you get to come back as zombies, everybody wins!" she shouted. However, as sadistic and confident as Yana was, she wasn't an idiot. She knew that standing around would only result in bad things, so she had to act quickly. Simply waving her hand in front of her face once, a small spark appeared on Skadi's clothing, before the curse took its hold on her. It was one of her favourite spells; the mage's curse. If Skadi so much as thought about casting a spell, she'd feel a small jolt of pain go through her entire body, and that thought pleased Yana very much. Next, she turned her attention to the one that had called her a b[plain]itch. As true as it was, and she took it as a compliment, she was the first one to hit her, and Yana used that logic and that logic alone in targeting her. Leaping over, she placed her hand on Lucia's forehead and gave her a short flick, before dashing back. If nothing else, the young witch was very quick. The spell she had used was one similar to the curse the girl bore herself. It was her Decay spell. Yana had been cursed from a very young age, causing everything to wilter in an area around her and slowly die as long as she was around, and she had just implanted a weaker, temporary one on Lucia. After all, she wouldn't want the fight to end too quickly, where was the fun in that? Still not quite satisfied with what she'd done, she closed her eyes in focus temporarily. "Aaaaaare you ready? Cause you're going to need to be. Let me show you the beauty of burning death" the witch cackled, before she released a wave of flame in a massive area around her, burning all, including herself, as it passed through them. The girl then laughed a little bit once the flames had receded. "Oh man that felt good, who wants to do it again?" she asked, cackling. Yana used Mage's Curse on Skadi, Decay on Lucia, and Searing Inferno on....well, everything
Caleb glared at Yana. Not only was this the woman that had killed Skadi's parents, but this was also a woman who was clearly messed up in the head, threatening their families, their guild, and their very own lives themselves. She had to be stopped, and Caleb was determined to do it. Running at the psychotic bitch, Caleb unsheathed his sword and leaped up a little, before slamming down his sword onto Yana, using his Quick Blitz attack. Caleb used Quick Blitz! Finally finding the strength to move once again, Skadi held her staff in a defensive stance. This woman had taken away her parents, she wasn't going to let her destroy Sapphire Eclipse too. Her mind began going through possibilities, and yet she found herself struggling to think. She was afraid of Yana, that much was certain, and she couldn't stop the paranoid thought that she was going to lose everything once again. Quickly, she came to a conclusion, and held out her hand. Her fingertips began glowing a pale blue, almost white, as a crystal of ice appeared in front of her and shot out towards Yana. Skadi used Blizzard!
So, things had gotten way worse. Karina had turned out to not only be a bitch, but she was also apparently some psycopathic murderer. As if that wasn't bad enough, then Kaida started encouraging it (who he had almost thought of as a friend). I mean, what was he supposed to do? He began furiously struggling to get out from under Karina's murder attempt, but found he was unable to. After a few muffled sounds from Glen at Kaida's encouragement of drowning him, an ingenious idea came to him. He struggled just a tiny bit more, arms flailing in a seemingly desperate attempt at survival, and then he let his body go limp, offering no resistance to anything. Maybe if he played dead, they would actually think he was dead, and then they would stop trying to make him dead. And then he wouldn't be dead. The brooms were so shocked by his apparent death, 7 of them exploded into splinters and reformed shortly. 164 words, 8 exp earned. Still 131/150 brooms remaining.
As the room began filling more and more with water, Glen found it both awe-inspiring and extremely surprising that nobody had actually fallen over. Acting far too fast for a novice writer such as myself to keep up with, Glen split apart 3 brooms in such a magical fashion mere words cannot describe the amazingness of it, so use your imagination. Now, things were going far too slowly, so clearly the path to victory was to abuse thunder, nothing could possibly go wrong with that! Holding his keyblade into the air which now looked like a badass as hell sword, the boy started charging up a thunder spell, because standing there channeling a spell makes it at least ten times as powerful, and looks cooler too, but before he could complete the spell, one of the reformed brooms stormed past him, hitting him in the back of the head with a bucket full of water and causing Glen to fall face down in the water. 165 words, 8 exp earned. 102/150 brooms
After having defeated the undead, Caleb sheathed his sword and walked over to Skadi. She wore cuts and several bruises on her, and while she wasn't the worst injured there, she was the first one Caleb walked over to. Taking her hand, he held it tightly before murmuring a few words and using cure on her. He looked at the others, some of which who were still injured himself, but he wasn't sure how much he could do about it; his magic needed vast improvement before he could even consider helping out with healing. Skadi didn't like being fussed over so much, but she was used to it with Caleb. She did, however, gesture towards the others. "I think they need it more than I do, but thank you" the girl responded. She watched as Caleb gave a nod, before releasing her hand and she then stood up and walked over to Therity. "Here, I hope this will help" Skadi said, casting her cure spell and watching it take effect. Somewhat satisfied, she turned away from the girl and intended on helping Lucia next, but what she saw caused her feet to stop working, the ice mage unable to do anything but look on in fear. Simply walking out of the portal was Yana Aegrum, that same, usual sadistic smile plastered all over her face. She chose to say nothing, too giddy over Skadi's reaction to say a word as she strolled over towards the group. "Oh goody, I was hoping I'd get assigned to you! Now we can play together, just like old times!" the girl exclaimed. "I wonder how long it will take you lot to give up on life. Two minutes? Maybe three? Nah, you all look like you really suck at fighting" the witch insulted, gazing over the group before her. It was then her eyes spotted Caleb. "Oh there you are! Thank you for being such a good widdle boy and delivering the message, it just wouldn't have been this much fun without you. I'll have to kill you in an extra special way, just to show how thankful I am" Yana said, letting loose a cackle at the end of that statement. Conjuring up a small black ring of flame around herself, Yana stuck her tongue out at the others there. "You guys are waaaay too quiet, why not live a little while you can? You're sooooo boring, bleh. Well, I guess I'll just make you all burn, all start screaming, and then we'll see if you feel like chatting, m'kay? You five will be the latest victims to join Yana Aegrum's kill list! And then I'm gonna go torch your guild, torture your guild master, and then i'm going to find out where all your family lives, and they'll join you in hell too! Won't that be fun?" the witch asked rhetorically, giggling as she did so, before stepping forward and readying to attack.
Assuming they are alive, Caleb uses quick blitz on the crocodile and Skadi uses blizzard on the dark mage. Gaius skidded to a stop after getting away from Orpheus. Throughout everything they had thrown at him, he was still standing. So something had survived more than one attack, that was a first. Sporting his usual cocky grin, Gaius started running towards Orpheus. "You think hidin' in that cloud's gonna save you? Think again!" the boy shouted, leaping up into the air and hurling a small fireball into the cloud Orpheus was hiding in. Gaius used Fire!
Turning around to look at Xross finally, Dane let out a slight laugh. "You know, you're starting to sound like you're enjoying this. The only person that would enjoy this would be some sick fuck, someone so insanely twisted they no longer see any logic" the man said, before looking back at Alisia and gesturing towards Xross. "I like this guy!" he exclaimed. It was then that Alisia used Doom on Xander, and although she'd shown hesitation in doing it, Dane was somewhat surprised that she had done it anyway. He stood there, waiting impatiently for the numbers to tick down. Closer and closer his death count came, all the while Dane stood there, waiting eagerly. Just as they were about to hit 0 and kill Xander, the shadow reaper reached across and casually knocked the young girl out, making sure to catch her as her unconscious body fell, before hoisting her up and over his shoulder. "Oh man, she was actually going to do it too! This slave is awesome, I think I'll keep her" the murderer stated, laughing at the end of his statement. He walked past Xander, heading out towards the hallway with Alisia over his shoulder, but made sure to stop just a short distance away from Xander. "You're welcome for saving your life by the way. God, nobody has any gratitude around here" the man said, continuing walking down the hallway once again.
Close this at once. The power of shipping is too much for you to handle!
Emerging from the portal that had been created, Alastor approached the wizards that had defeated the rocks and lasers. "Interesting. It's surprising you were able to even hit lasers, let alone hit them enough times that they simply vanish. I have never heard of a magic that allows someone to do that, so this should be a good way to test myself" Alastor said. Unsheathing his blade, he held his right hand into the air. Yellow sparks of electricity could be seen rapidly moving around the palm of his hand, before taking off into the sky, only to come crashing down to the ground seconds later in the form of a thunderbolt, blasting away the debris of the fallen rocks and providing a show of force all at once. As the lightning subsided, Alastor put his arm to his side once more and simply stood there, examining their faces for a reaction. After a brief moment, he continued. "My name is Alastor Nex, and It has been requested of me by Master Ezekiel that I put an end to you here. If you value your lives, you may turn and flee and hope that you can outrun my magic, but that is highly unlikely" the man said, a sly smirk appearing on his face as he spoke. He waited for another moment to see if any of them would actually turn and run, and not surprisingly they stayed. "Very well then, you have made your choice" Alastor stated, readying his blade and running his fingertips along it, imbuing it with a magical aura of sorts that was visible to the naked eye. "Use every ounce of magic in your bodies, for only then will you reach your true potential and teach me more of the secrets of the arcane!" he shouted, challenging the group and preparing to attack.
