What the fuck, Dalk. :/ Anyway, I know it's hard to move on when your pet dies and get a new one, but you never know. Don't look at it as a replacement, but as a new friend. That's how I coped with losing my last dog, it did help some. :]
Same with me, except it bothers me a lot. xD That's usually caused by their dander I believe, so as long as you keep your cat/dog clean and brushed the allergies shouldn't be too bad.
I'm allergic to most fruits and veggies, but I'm still alive. And you're probably allergic to pollen from the trees, also why you're allergic to mold, which as far as I know is not deadly.
