Akane swore, and put her claws up in front of her in the shape of an X to defend from the spear. It hit hard, but was deflected. Akane swore once more, seeing that the monsters were attacking more aggressively now. She fought of the ones near her, but barely. Quickly, she came to a decision.
"Everyone," she shouted, "Get clear, I'm going to trap this bastard by destroying the roof!"

Akane had been waiting quietly in the shadows, observing the monster's movements and tactics. She slipped back so she was directly behind the monster, then charged at it with her wrist claws ready.

Kaden quietly thanked Rain for holding the door, then threw a small back of gold at the innkeeper as they walked out, saying, "It best be two beds next time."
They walked out of town together, getting an odd stare here and there because of their armor. Once they got to their dragons, Kaden took two strips of leather from Ravage's saddle, then tied them to create a makeshift sling. With her arm secured, she waited for Rain to be ready.
