Hey .
Jesus freaking christ, where have you been?
Asuka closed her eyes. "Cat, there are some battles that you have to fight alone. All of us undoubtedly will. You're still weakened from the last fight anyway." There was no room for negotiating in Asuka's voice. She then added, "And perhaps you haven't noticed, but," she moved into an offensive position, "I'm no pushover myself."
"Cat," Asuka said. "Back away." She faced Leon. "You say you're strong. That you work better alone. But I'll bet you're like me, never had a close friend in your life. I'll let you walk away from here," she said, summoning her Keyblade, "If you can defeat me. One on one. All out brawl."
"...All of them are gone," Asuka said quietly. "My great-grandparents were the two that survived the longest, after their generation people forgot Shinra's crimes and fell back into a comfortable life with a new power source. My grandparents were the last real warriors left, them and two of Cloud's old allies. They're all strong, but...the pull of darkness is incredibly powerful." Looking away once more, she said, "Our ancestors fought together once. They saved a world. If we fight together, along with the others, we could do so much more. So I'll ask again...will you join us?"
Frontline ~ Pillar
I might make the tail anyway, but just not bring it to school since I'm pretty sure it would get damaged over the course of the day. >> Erg it's why I'm torn D: And you should just hit them back. :D Nah, I just can't make a more animal-looking costume in the amount of time I have. xD Plus it would be good practice for the humanized Ammy I want to eventually make. :'D
And I've narrowed my costume choices down to those. Both I can complete before Friday, buuut I don't know which to do. Help KHV. :c
"Passing through?" Asuka repeated. "If you're passing through, then what's the harm of travelling with us? I hardly know them that well anyway, but Heartless...I'm pretty sure they consumed my world. As a fellow wielder, I'm asking you to join us. I can tell you're strong...and based on stories, you're probably one of Leon's descendants."
Asuka stopped walking. "That jackass..." She had heard the sound of a Keyblade appearing and disappearing behind her, and she turned, looking back at the man. She felt the darkness retreat a little as she approached him once more. "So you are a Keyblade user, hm? What are you trying to be, the silent hero?" As she said this, she closed in on him and stared him down.
My friends and I were going to do a Fairly OddParents group, but then they decided today that they were going to be hipsters instead. So I have to figure out a costume before Friday. .-.
"...I'm no hero," she said, looking down. Whatever fire had told her to approach the man had died, and she wasn't going to push him. "Just...forget I said anything." Asuka started to walk away, back to the others. "Why did I feel like I needed to speak to him?...Is it because the light I sensed is as strong as all of theirs put together?" She swore. Memories that she had locked away started to come back, but she tried to block them out. She could feel the darkness getting stronger in her heart, but she didn't care just then.
Releasing his arm, Asuka looked around one last time to make sure they were far enough away from each other. She didn't feel like wasting any time, so she cut right to her point. "Are you a Keyblade wielder?"
"Strange...his light is strong..." Asuka thought. "I'll be right back. Finish any last minute preparations, then get into the sidecars. Two per car, don't even think about trying to start Fenrir without me," she said. She walked through the crowd to the young man, who looked strikingly similar to someone from her great-grandfather's stories. Not knowing how to start a conversation about Keyblades without attracting attention to them, she walked by him and quickly grabbed his sleeve, muttering, "Follow me" to him as she did.
"Yes...though I suppose I should tell you what I know about Kuragari. He is from an unnamed race from my world. No one's named them because there's so few left. They have a feline appearance, though they have traits from both felines and canines. Most famous one is called Nanaki, he fought alongside Cloud in the wars on Midgar. They have an extremely long lifespan, easily covering centuries, though Kuragari is still very young for his kind. Stories of him surfaced around fifty years ago, but he started becoming known when he killed his brother in a rage and abandoned his home. I suppose he was roaming the Wastelands when he was transported here, same as I was," Asuka said. "Aside from that...he's smart. Capable of human speech, very good problem solvers, which is a shame that there's almost none of them left." After she was finished speaking, she looked towards the entrance of the third district. She sensed a light aura entering, and tried to see where it was coming from.
"Alright...that's it for the sidecars...I'll finish up the rest of the repairs myself. Some of the stuff is tricky to put together," Asuka said, looking mainly at the disassembled sword housings. She rarely used them, since the Keyblade didn't need to be stored somewhere physically, but they were still part of Fenrir. She set about working on that, and after a short while, she declared it finished. "It's operational, at least. Sidecars are secured, so that shouldn't be a concern, and the limited amount of ranged weaponry on it should be enough. If we find Midgar...I can complete the repairs."
Asuka tried to keep her temper down. The shopowner was going on and on about Keyblades and how wonderful it was to see them again and all sorts of things she just didn't care about. He offered to help her carry the parts back to the third district, but she decided that she was better off on her own. She paid him, picked up a few more potions, then started hauling the parts. Given that two of the parts were the sidecars, it was no easy feat, but eventually she made it back to the others. Asuka left the parts near the bike since she needed a break from moving, only to find that everyone was introducing themselves. She waited until the others were done speaking, then said, "Asuka Strife. Homeworld's Midgar. Master of the Keyblade Fenrir as well as several forms of martial arts, strong in offensive magic."
"Alright, thanks," Asuka said. "I'm going to go to his shop and see what's taking so long." As Asuka walked away from the group and through the crowd that had now gathered near the Keyblade wielders, she heard various whispers and the occasional cheer from the people. "Huh. Fitting. I'm a false hero," she thought. What would they think if they knew she was the one that gathered the Heartless? She pushed those thoughts from her head and focused on finding the man's shop, as she was now back in the first district.
"Yeah," Asuka said. Just then, a shopkeeper approached her, saying that he had parts that might be of use to her. After making a deal with the man, he agreed to bring the parts they needed, and Asuka went to join the others while she waited for the man to return. "Said he'll sell exactly what we need for the bike for 250...munny? Which I assume is the currency here. That's as low as I could get him to make the price," she said to the group. Looking at Shinji, she replied, "I'd rather make the repairs and modifications myself. Fenrir's not from your world, remember?"
lolwut. But that's okay, my marine science class is going to watch Shark Week. :'D My teachers are supposed to put them on the school's...
