Rei walked silently through the park with her hands in her pockets, rain splashing her gently. "Can I really trust something that dangerous from Aeon...?" she thought. She had always suspected that the company had been behind her parents' deaths, but knew it was far too foolish to try and bring it up, even hypothetically. The anniversaries of their deaths was coming up though, so Rei pushed thoughts of them away too. Sighing, she sat down in the next bench she came across, which was sheltered from the rain by a large tree. "I wonder if the other beta players are alright...even though those monsters weren't too bad, they still weren't an easy bunch," she muttered to herself. She wasn't used to being plagued by so many thoughts, so this was very distressing to her.
Jaster shook his head. "Don't be, lad. It is a hard thing to do, but perhaps one day you'll have the strength to do it. If you want to go after him now...I may not be of much help, but the explosion and intense light should have thrown him off enough for him to not get far." He was impressed with the younger man's power though, he hadn't expected Darren to be able to use something strong enough to cause Steve to actually be afraid.
