"Those damned werewolves you and your superiors had us after," Van Helsing answered to Carl's jest. He only saw Edward flinch slightly. "Now I've come back here to gather you and get going again... and I picked up from people on the way. The Order does not know about them. They don't need to, either, alright, Carl?"
"Where we came from," Van Helsing said, going over to sit on the other bed opposite Edward's. "Fly there later if you must. Or pretend to eat some normal food with us now... or when Hannah comes back, at least." "So, Carl," Van Helsing began, turning to the friar now. "This is Edward. He actually lived in the city before I met him."
'Was that Hannah?" Van Helsing asked when a woman pushed past them, running out into the streets. Jinx nodded. "Carl, that was Hannah. She..." he paused, knowing this was not a good first impression. "She must have somewhere important to be and will meet us later, I'm sure."
"She's just... naturally cold, Carl," Van Helsing replied. That's not really a lie, is it? he thought with a smile. "What?" he lowered his voice. "Do you like her or something?"
"Yes," Van Helsing replied, wondering what Jinx was doing out on her own. "Carl, this is Jinx, a wonderfully talented girl who will be one of my... friends joining us. Jinx, dear," Van Helsing added, turning to her, knowing how she hated being called that. "This is Carl, a very smart fellow who comes in handy in most situations... anyway, can you lead us to the inn you and Hannah found?"
"As if..." Van Helsing began, and then grinned. "As if they were normal people, Carl."
"They are all staying at a local inn... we can find them and meet them. Save your food for the road," Van Helsing replied, and started toward the door.
"You'll see when you meet them," Van Helsing replied. "Now, do you want to get some food before I pass out and we leave?"

"Yes, I may kill some of them," Van Helsing replied with a cynical grin, half serious half joking. "But they are some special people, Carl... and when you meet them, you must do exactly as I tell you regarding them. Understand?"
"I see..." Van Helsing said, thinking about Jinx and Hannah. Hell, if Carl told me they needed to die, it would give me justification anyway... "Carl," he began slowly. "I have some... friends... I need you to meet."
"Go make friends," the cardinal snapped, and left Van Helsing with Carl. 'Well," Van Helsing sighed. "What's stuck up his holy ass today?" He laughed at the horrified look on Carl's face. "Sorry..." he muttered. "So... what are we looking at and how do we kill it?"
OOC: by the way, boobra is in the stables with the horseys.... duh!!! Van Helsing walked inside the Vatican and into a confession cell. "Bless me father for I have-" "Sinned, I know," the cardinal snapped back, and opened the door for Van Helsing to follow him down a dark passageway. "Move it, already." Van Helsing walked down the passageway, and they finally came down to a large room full of monks, friars, and cardinals, all working on different experiments. "I got rid of those damned werewolves, you know," he spoke now. "Well... all but the little girl... I never saw her. And some brides-" "I know already," the cardinal cut him off. "We have our ways of finding out events when you don't send letters like you should. You are being sent back to Transylvania, though... and Carl is going with you!"
Van Helsing turned after handing Lexi's reigns over to Jinx. The horse gave him a sad look over Jinx's shoulder, as if she didn't want to leave him. Van Helsing sighed, walking toward the church. I wonder what everyone in the Knights of the Holy Order are going to say... probably 'Go back to Transylvania and find Dracula with Carl!' What else?
"In the center of the city..." he replied. "You and Hannah should go find somewhere we all can stay for the night. Edward will need that. Plus, I can't take him with me now; they will know what he is and kill him. You will have to take him and Lexi to a stable. I will walk alone... is that fine?"
* THREE DAYS LATER...* "Well, that's Rome," said Van Helsing.
"Alright," said Van Helsing, and mounted Lexi. "Give me a hand getting him up here, ladies..." Jinx and Hannah got Edward to his feet and helped Van Helsing pull him up onto the horse. He held the other man steady, grabbing the reigns around his body. "Let's go!"
"Don't think you can what, Hannah?" Van Helsing asked. "Leave now?"
"Alright, alright, enough," Van Helsing insisted, and grabbed the water, rushing all of it down Edward's arm, then picking up the bandage. He wrapped it and tied it as tightly as he could despite Edward's unconscious struggling. "Is everyone fine with leaving now to get there fast?" he spoke, standing. "Or..." he looked over at Beatrice yawning, "shall we at sleep a little?"
OOC: omg elijah is a smexy beast... LOl BIC: "Are you kidding?" Van Helsing said, reaching over to his saddlebag and pulling out a bottle of absinthe. "I don't know if alcohol on a silver bullet wound is a good idea, though..."
